Children Of America Crofton

My daughter attending there briefly for about 3 months this was due to we was moving to another county. But I loved the staff very friendly and polite. The security levels was great and the enrollment process was seamless. The cost was pricey, but for an infant it was still reasonable you have to be realistic that ultimately you want great service and peace of mind you will be paying for it.

This place needs a complete overall of personnel before one should send their child here. Thankfully, I was able to get my child out quickly. The infant room was horrible. My child started there at 10 weeks and the teacher would complain daily about her crying and the fact that she would startle if she were sleep and other children would make noise. What would you expect from a baby who isn’t used to you, the caretaker, or daycare?!? The same teacher would also complain to me about other parents and what other kids required. I wondered what she was saying about me to other parents. Also, although the ratio is 1:4, there was never enough teachers in the room when I arrived, no matter how many kids were there. They always had to send someone in.
Additionally, this place is the most unwelcoming, its dirty and dank. My child always had on someone else’s bib and it appears she was given someone else’s pacifier. She cried when I dropped her off and was still crying when I picked her up. I don’t believe they tried to engage her the entire time. I never got the opportunity to use the cameras because they never set that up for me. Security was nonexistent as parents and staff let me in whenever I stood in front of the door. No one questioned who I was. I was finally given a code when I asked for it, days after beginning. I never received a handbook or any policy documentation.
It’s really sad that the Crofton location is so bad as it appears that other locations are much much better. I hope corporate cares enough to take a really hard look at the Crofton location and make some major changes.

Here it is a year after the last review and I will tell you that I completely agree with «Kendall J». This place is horrible and I can’t wait until I get my child out of there. I have to constantly watch the cameras while I’m at work and the things that I have seen are unbelievable. The teachers (Toddler room) lay on the floor or sit in corners while the children just run around. They are also always texting on their cell phone. This place doesn’t even deserve the one start that I had to put on here. Beware and look elsewhere! The «Director» seems like she doesn’t even run the place. The teachers just do what they want.

Warning to all parents!!! Stay far away from this place for the safety of your child. This was the first daycare my child attended and after this experience I am ultra paranoid. Lets begin:
1: the online cameras rarely worked and when they did, they froze frequently and lagged behind about 2 – 3 minutes.
2: reading some reviews I saw remarks that there was a teacher who yanked children by their arms. I watched that online camera like a hawk and low and behold I saw a skinny blind girl yank a little boy by his arm when he was playing with another kid. This was my last straw, after this I immediately contacted their corporate office and reported what I saw. Based on the review above it doesn’t sound like they listened.
3: they laid the 2 year olds down for map at 11 and did not let them get up till 230! Are you kidding me! Most of the kids where wiggling uncontrollably in their cots for almost an hour!
4: everyday when I picked my child up she would scream/​cry and run to me when I walked in… Almost like I couldn’t get her out of there fast enough.
The constant worry and guilt of leaving your baby in a place terrifying to them is unbearable. The staff of the 2 year olds let my child stand in the corner by herself to scared to move. There was no nurturing, no tenderness and no emotional bond between teacher and child. The staff just seems occupied with talking about parents and coworkers behind their backs.
We lasted 5 days.
