I have transferred all my elevators over to this small independent company. They are very good to work with, fair pricing, and they come on time when they say they will. The owner takes the time to visit each new elevator before signing up for a contract and is very helpful answering all questions. I am happy to support this small business and have been doing all I can to get people away from Albany Elevator who are a bunch of crooks, unprofessional, overcharging and cause repeated maintenance calls because clearly they don’t fix tings the right way the first time. Since switching(and moving to an even lesser frequency preventive maintenance contract) we have had less service/maintenance/emergency calls than with the higher priced Albany Elevator and their every month contract at double the price. highly recommend Simmons Elevator.

This is the one time I would like to be able to give a company no stars! Today my daughter, along with 4 other disabled adults and 3 staff people were stuck in an elevator at the Arts Center in Troy. Now I get the things happen. However, when a staff person hit the call button it rang through to the elevator company and even after the company was told that there were some severely disabled people on the elevator the staff member was told that it would be a couple of hours before someone would be there to get them out The elevator company did not call the fire department, who rescue people from elevator entrapments on a fairly regular basis. The staff members finally got cell service, called a supervisor who called Troy Fire, who responded and got the kids out in about 15 minutes. I think I’m going to take the stairs if I see this company’s name anywhere near the elevator I’m planning on taking.
