I live walking distance to the seawall but will still drive down to sunny beach! It’s so clean and beautiful!!! My pups love it there!

We had a great time here on the 4th of July and are headed back this weekend. Pack everything you want in and pack it out again. You can drive onto the sand on this beach and there’s a few porta potties and trash cans but that’s about it. So take your trash with you. We didn’t have to pay to park, so the neighborly thing to do is keep it clean. You don’t need a 4×4 here, but try to keep your car on more packed areas of sand to avoid getting stuck.

Beautiful beach a few miles past the sea wall that’s not usually too crowded. Perfect place to rent a house for the week and just walk out onto the beach in the morning. Center of Galveston is only 10 mins or so north, so you can be close while still getting away from it all. We will definitely be returning.

I thought I had written a review of this place once before, but I guess I’m getting forgetful these days. One of my favorite beach access points. Generally only busy on the weekends. Many times during the week I can have beach to myself. Would be nice if they at least added a wash area were you could hose off though. You can drive your car on beach here too. On my most recent trip I had some punk kids that pulled up right next to my car even though there was plenty of room elsewhere. Kept setting off my car alarm till I had to shoo them away. Were drinking and smoking things that weren’t cigarettes… this section of the beach is family friendly so I was disappointed to see that. That has never happened here before though, so hopefully it will be a rarity.

Really sunny :) never more than six cars/families out at this part of Galveston. love it! I usually bring a book, laptop and some beer… u can sit out there all day. very quiet and secluded.

This is one of my favorite beaches in Galveston. It is easy to get to, always clean and easy to drive on. I like coming during the off season because it is free to get on to the beach. The sand and shoreline is also very clean here, I’ve found some gorgeous sea shells here as well.
