The only reason we decided to buy our furniture here is because my dad wanted to keep business on the Island. Decided to stop by one day after church because their bulletin said «all furniture buy 1 get one 50% off» this was the first mistake. We Walk in only to find that this sale was on «in stock» items only. Please note that there was literally NO items on stock. Every single piece we liked we were told it would have to be a «special order.» Second there was a set we really liked but we were told if we bought these we wouldn’t get them until mid March or April because they were so popular. But they told us if we bought this other set, that was «a bit» more expensive, we would have them in 2 – 4 weeks. We DID NOT want to wait until March or April! So we went with the set that we would get sooner.
Purchased our furniture near the end of January and was told we would receive it in 2 – 4 weeks. By week 4 we hadn’t heard anything so decided to call only to find out we wouldn’t have our furniture by mid March or April. We were lied to. If we would’ve known that from the beginning we would’ve bought the set we really wanted or wouldn’t have bought from here in the first place!
Don’t let these people run a scam on you. Never again. This Ruins the fun & excitement of moving into a new home. Now we are left sitting on the floor for another 4 – 6 weeks.
Star furniture in Webster or Gallery Furniture is definitely worth the drive. I won’t buy anything from here again. Please Don’t let these people run a scam on you. You’ll get the same pieces of furniture for $ 200-​$ 400 cheaper & actually receive your furniture within a reasonable time.

I walked in off of the street after first going to two larger mattress dealers in Galveston. I was not thrilled with their selection or their service. I wasn’t expecting the service and value that I got when I walked in the door at Star. In less that thirty minutes I had a great king mattress and box springs at a very fair price strapped to my truck and headed to my beach house. I need another queen mattress and I won’t hesitate to go back for a repeat purchase. Thanks to Jody and the others at Star for a great experience.

WARANTEE
We purchased a love seat an ottoman from them and the offered a replacement warrantee. At the end of the first year the product had a seam that split and even thought it took a few calls, they did replace the love seat with a brand new replacement! Good job!

I will say they have a wide range of furniture and styles. My problem is some of the prices are outrageous!!! The thing that blew my mind if even the wall décor, lamps and accessories were super high. I don’t like the fact the salesman was overbearing and bugged us. He kept saying he’d let us shop but never left us alone. He was trying to help but it felt a bit pushy but he was nice.
My main complaint is some of the quality didn’t match the high mark ups.
