This B&B was a great find, The owners were wonderful. The room was great and comfortable, We recommend this place. The location is ideal. It is about 4 blocks from the seawall. The downtown area is a bit farther, but is in walking distance, although you have to cross the major road way in the city, We were amazed at the efforts the city has made to retain the character of the houses here. The owner was most gracious in offering a ride to the car rental place and the cruise line at the end of our stay. When we once again come to this city, we will be staying here.

Spent a quick solo weekend away here. Dave & Maria are excellent hosts! They go out of their way to make you feel at home in their home. Delicious homemade breakfast each day, and I was able to borrow a bike to explore the island. They also cover many of the small touches that you expect from a big hotel but not a small B&B, like fully stocked toiletries, and a common room with coffee, tea, water, soda and juice available all hours (plus homemade cookies and other snacks!). They also offer free parking if you are leaving on a cruise from Galveston. Will definitely be coming back and recommend you check it out!

We stayed here for a little one night anniversary getaway, and we could not have been more pleased. The house is a lovely 1890s treat, the breakfast is delicious, but the real treasures here are the hosts. David and Maria are warm and welcoming people. They did everything to make our stay an excellent one. We were in the cozy Elissa room, which features its own bathroom. No TV in the room, but there is one in the communal sitting room, as well as complementary wifi. Parking is conveniently located off the rear alley. I never sleep well in a strange bed, but I must say, I had no problems sleeping here. I’d happily stay here again.

Lost Bayou is our home away from home. This is our 2^nd stay and we are still in awe of the excellent hospitality that we receive from Dave and Maria. Her breakfast is out of this world. They helped arrange a carriage ride that picked us up right at the front door.
I love love this place and we will stay here every chance we get. The garden room is our favorite!
They have a sitting room on the 2^nd floor which provides treats, drinks (non-alcoholic), coffees, and teas. There is a tv, magazines, books, and brochures if u want something to do. They have bicycles avilable to use if y want to take a ride. If u get the chance, definetely come stay here.
