One star only because NOSTAR is not an option. Stopped in here and the woman behind the counter was beyond rude. She asked us for our ID(we are in our 30’s) and my friend didn’t have hers. We left the beach house pretty quickly and she didn’t think about it since our real purpose was to go to the Big Store. The lady behind the counter was making snide remarks to another customer as I was grabbing my ID out of my wallet. My friend stated she left hers and the lady kicked her out. She asked if she could just stand inside the door since we were in a jeep with the roof off and it was 100+ outside. The lady continued with her rude and degrading attitude and told her no. I said I would take my business elsewhere and I did. Do yourself a favor. Go right down the street. The guy there was really nice(I can’t remember the name of the place but on stilts and opposite side of the road). I heard from several others that weekend how rude she was and that they will not let you shop if you are a woman with too much skin exposed which includes anything strapless. Ridiculous! This is a beach town. We are on the peninsula often and I will NEVER spend my money in there.

It just sounds so much better, making a trip to Island Liquor, rather than a place called the ABC Store, like back home. Though of course the set-up is pretty similar. Rows of liquor bottles, a few wines, a small refrigerated section, which did boast some ultra-cold beers. The end-caps had great party ideas: pre-made jello shots and test tube shots. And the cashier went out of her way to be friendly. It may be the only place on the island to load up, but it’s not a bad place to do so.
