Island Breeze Shuttle

We were extremely impressed… would highly recommend this company. They bend over backwards to accommodate and the drivers are very professional. If we need a shuttle again, we will not hesitate to use Island Breeze Shuttle. They were part of making our trip/​cruise perfect with no glitches.

We recently used Island Breeze to shuttle 14 of us from Houston Hobby to the cruise port and things couldn’t have gone smoother. The driver who picked us up at Hobby got in contact with me just as we were collecting our luggage from the carousel. There was a bit of a traffic jam in Galveston. Our resourceful driver proceeded to go back and take a different route just to get us to the terminal. Additionally, upon our return, the other driver was more than willing to pick us up earlier than the scheduled time without too much delay. Whenever any of us plan another cruise, you can bet that we’ll be using Island Breeze Shuttle.

They were there when promised, drivers were pleasant and easy to work with. They kept in constant communication with us. Took all the stress out of getting from one place to another. I highly recommend this company.

Due to an error by our travel agent, we were booked on Island Breeze Shuttle to the wrong cruise port. Even though the mix up was not the fault of of the shuttle service, they made it right with no extra charge. The drivers and Cynthia in dispatch made a very stressful situation OK. They were exceptionally caring and efficient. Use this service and you will not be disappointed.

I recommend this shuttle service to anyone traveling to the area. We had a group of 8 people and flew into IAH for a cruise out of Galveston. Our flight in was delayed 2 hours. When we arrived our driver Pete was there waiting for us. On our return we were delayed getting off the ship due to weather. Our driver Dave was there waiting and we made it to IAH for our 12:50pm flight with plenty of time to spare. Great service!

I used island breeze shuttle as a way of getting from IAH Airport to Galveston for a cruise.
Booking was okay. I asked for a quote and was pleased with the price. When I called to book, the price had gone up about $ 100 dollars. Not thrilled. Also, I called and left a message and it took about 3 days to respond. Once I did get a phone call back, the representative was pleasant and easy to work with. I felt happy booking with this company. I was assured I would receive a detailed itinerary in my email a few days before the trip.
When it came to the day of travel, I had not received my itinerary. I called and left a message and not fifteen minutes later I had a call back. I explained that I did not receive my email itinerary and the rep explained it would not be an issue. When we arrived in Houston, our driver would text and tell us their location. It was easy to find and our driver was great. He kept us updated on texts and even called to make sure we could find him easily. Payment was easy– used an iPad with square. We paid for the round trip and added a tip both ways.
On the way back to IAH from Galveston, I figured I would have received my itinerary by then. I again called the company and left a message. I was called back and the rep this time was not pleasant. She insisted that an itinerary was sent. I told her that I did not receive it and had called the company before my trip. I know they had my correct email as I had been sending my flight information via email when I booked the trip. I felt like a child and my mother was scolding me for not following directions. She soured my feelings for island breeze shuttle.
The actual trip back to the airport was fine, although I was upset the communication was sub par. It’s frustrating that this company does not answer the phone, you have to call and leave a message and wait for a phone call back.
Next time, it would be easier to just rent a car.

The level of service provided by Island Breeze was amazing. We traveled to Galveston the last weekend in September and it was literally a «breeze» getting from Hobby to our destination. Our driver «David» was courteous and friendly… we were the only two customers on that particular trip — he made us feel very safe and comfortable. We will not hesitate to use them again when we return… and we WILL return.

We (4 adults) used Island Breeze to transfer from IAH to Galveston and then back after a cruise. The communication was very prompt. The cost was less expensive than several other companies I researched. We had a shared ride from the airport with 7 adults from the airport and we had a private Lexus SUV to the airport. The drivers were very friendly. I highly recommend Island Breeze.

We just returned from a Carnival Cruise out of Galveston. Island Breeze picked us up at our hotel at the time arranged. Picked us up at the cruise terminal at the arranged time and took us to Hobby Airport. They were in constant communication on morning of arrival and pickup. Highly recommend Island Breeze.

Late post, actually left Galveston over 3 weeks ago but got so busy at work didn’t get around to posting this review til tonight.
My trip to Galveston was very last minute, so I used a local cab from Hobby. Luckily for my trip back I was booked into Island Breeze Shuttle. Early morning pickup and driver confirmed by text TWICE both my address and time. Then he showed up 10 minutes early and texted to let me know he was outside and not to feel rushed in any way. Luck was really on my side since I ended up being the only passenger heading north (he was picking up a large group for a fishing boat on the way back). The van was clean and comfortable, the outside temperature was already in the high 80’s. The driver, David (?) was very nice, we talked a little baseball and we got to airport early without any maniac driving on his part. What a relief.
Will be going back to Galveston in late September and will definitely book again.

We booked transportation from George Bush airport to Galveston through this company three weeks prior to our trip. They decided to change our pickup time the day before our cruise due to lack of drivers and «traffic». When we told them that the new pickup time would make us late for our cruise, they said there was nothing they could do and that we could cancel if we wanted without charge. At that point, it was too late to book with anyone else. We ended up paying twice as much for another form of transportation last minute. By far the worst experience I’ve ever had with a transportation company. Glad I cancelled with them and used the cruise line transportation services instead for my return trip.

Not sure why shows closed? Used twice this week for our cruise. All I can say is WOW!!! I am not one to write reviews but my husband and I were absolutely astonished by the level of customer service they provided. First, our plane was delayed and they called me to advise not a problem they would be at airport when we arrived. We weren’t even aware of flight delay until they called, shortly after airport made announcement. We were scheduled for pickup from port at 11am but ship disembarked early. To our surprise when we called them at 9am to see if could be picked up earlier they advised already outside waiting on us. If you need shuttle and don’t give them a call you won’t know what you have missed! Not to mention VERY reasonable. Thanks Island shuttle you have set the standard ver very high.

and I’m so glad I did — their fares were far cheaper than the cruise line’s transportation service and others that I found. Lee, our driver, was on time and kept in communication with me via text about when he’d be arriving and where. They accept credit cards on the spot and you can also tip on it, so no cash is even required. Couldn’t have been easier. We had a crazy customs issue on the way out of Galveston and ended up getting out of the cruise terminal about 6 hours later than expected — Lee was so understanding and waited for us the whole time! Unbelievable service and I highly, highly recommend this them if you’re taking a cruise out of Galveston.
