Driving 2003 Infinity G35 from Lousiiana to California. Stopped for the night in Gallup and checked oil — used about 1.5 qts in 1500 miles, but no sign of burning oil coming from tailpipe. G35’s have a terribly designed dipstick making it a real chore to check the oil level. So, I went to Auto Zone for help. Lucky me — I got Bryan who is totally up on his Infiniti’s, plus he was as helpful as it gets. He showed me how to check the dipstick to ensure a good reading(gotta clean off the dipstick really well, check level, add oil 1 qt at a time while waiting about 10 mins between adding another qt if needed — to to crappy dipstick design by Nissan), added a couple qts for me, AND let me know that on a 2003 Infiniti with almost 130k miles, since I am using synthetic, I should consider using Royal Purple HMX with a K&N 1008 filter which in his experience with his own Infinit’s has resolved the excessive oil consumption problem. Bryan is a consummate professional auto parts guy who knows how customers should be treated. Auto Zone is lucky to have this guy on their team and I lucked out when I went there for help. Thanks Bryan!

I search all over to find a new radiator for my car. I am not one to mess with an engine’s cooling system. The worse problem to have next to a bad water pump, fuel pump, or alternator. Auto Zone was the only auto parts store with a radiator with a Lifetime Warranty and at a price lower than the other auto parts store with radiators with only Limited Warranty. The guys are not as personable as the regular auto parts store I go to but the price will do for now.
