Hancock House Bed & Breakfast

Y’all. I don’t like posting negative stuff. But I stayed here recently. This is one of the nastiest places I’ve ever been. Spiders everywhere. It hasn’t been cleaned in years. Freaking disgusting!!!
I’m not sure how the other two reviews on Unilocal are so high. Unless that place has been MAJORLY cleaned and updated very recently, those are fraudulent posts. Either that or the two people that posted care nothing about cleanliness and hygiene.
The carpet was dirty, the air conditioning didn’t work, it smelled musty, spiders were in my bed sheets, and there was dust EVERYWHERE.
I do have to say the breakfast was decent. But it was served over an hour late. I didn’t have much of an appetite after seeing the kitchen door open, revealing a shirtless man preparing our food. No, I’m not kidding.
Not to mention that an upstairs room was missing glass from the rotting windowpanes!!! What the heck?!
Talk about a safety hazard…

Excellent!! History is permeating this place. Its come a long way since the beginnings as a stage coach stop. Picturesque to a T and the owners are hospitable and gracious. Our breakfast was the epitome of lavish. All home made products jams jellies and a peach compoteHeavenly

My bridesmaids and I got ready for my wedding here in the bridal suite. It was picture perfect with all the antiques and natural lighting. When the reception was over I enjoyed a luxurious soak in the jacuzzi tub and rested comfortably in the antique four post bed. Roberta and her husband prepared an amazing breakfast of German style potatoes, fresh squeezed orange juice, bacon, eggs, amazing scratch biscuits, mixed fruit and coffee. We ate in the privacy of our spacious suite. It was perfect!!! Not to mention the amazing photos we took!!! We will be going back for sure!
