Whether you’re in the market for a handful of rubber duckies (an incredible old bathtub holds about a billion different kinds), or you need to update your Mr. Potato Head with some new accessories, Atomic Toy has the goods. The employees are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about all their items, including their old school toys and games.
Make sure you make your way up to the second floor and take your time walking through the shop — it’s super cool and items are well-​priced!

Cute store. Lots of neat gags and toys under $ 5 bucks. There’s a cool race track on the seconds floor. Check it out. You’ll find something to pick up just for yucks.

If you’re a kid at heart, this a great place to take a trip down memory lane.
The Atomic Toy Company has a whole assortment of old school board games and accessories that make you feel all nostalgic.
They had A Christmas Story monopoly, 4 in a row, Rock Em Sock Em, and pick up sticks to name a few.
My friends and I probably spent about 30 minutes looking over the toys and laughing hysterically.
Towards the back is a vending machine that dispenses Coca Colas in bottles or candy cigarettes.
I thought about purchasing a limited edition monopoly game but held off on it since I didn’t have space in my luggage to bring it back. However, my friend did buy a pick up sticks box.

Not only did I spend a lot of time going «oooo, I remember THAT!» the prices were cheaper than the internet for a lot of these old treasures. Bonus is the slot car racing upstairs. I haven’t done that since I was — since the 70s! My daughter finally got the Sea Monkeys she was looking for, and my son was amused at the whoopie cushion business card they have.

This place is so fun! It was nice just to walk around this store and reminisce about childhood toys and games. This place had it all, including an old-​timey pop machine stocked with hard to find goodies like Green River. The prices were on the high side though, which pretty much should be expected as a lot of this stuff is hard to find. There were however, plenty of moderately priced items that you just shouldn’t pass up on. If you’re debating about buying something, definitely buy it there since it’s unlikely you’ll find it anywhere else! They have a remote control car race track upstairs, but when I went there was no one up there so I wasn’t able to beat my boyfriend in a race. That was a little upsetting, but the rest of this place made up for it. Definitely stop here if you’re in Galena!
