I really need to read reviews before going into certain places. Unfortunately I did not do that here. At first I wanted to go to Cute Tips which is across the street from here. That place is nice but the owner said they were booked solid so I really need a pedi and didnt want to go elsewhere. I settled for this place. It looked a little dated. So the nail tech she seemed nice, and runs my water. At first it was scorching hot! My skin could have peeled off. My bath water was just water! No blue stuff or bath bombs or anything. It was just clear tap water. Nail polish selection was limited. I only use Essi and the colors were limited. Once my pedi started, I felt like I knew this was going to be a nail salon that does not take pride in doing nails. This was more so like a speedy pedi in less than 10 minutes. She rushed rushed. The tools they used looked unsanitized and the sponge or whatever you call it when they clean the back of your foot was dirty and I moved my legs back and I said Ill pass. She then mumble something in her lingo to the other staff. The foot massage was so fast and thats like the best part of the pedi but I made her massage me longer since she was cutting a lot of corners. So she did but her massages were awful, I felt more stressed than relaxed. Im skip down to payment, this place charges 28 for a shitty pedicure. I didnt read the sign about the tips being in cash only so i tell her that I will go to the ATM and come back with tip then she goes ok well how were you gonna to tip me because i can add it on here. I tell her and I guess she didnt like the tip I was giving her. Well excuse me if my tip is not satisfying, my pedicure wasnt satisfying either. So then she just charges 28 and slams my card on the counter and says next time you bring cash! Like whoa lady! The paint job was bad it only lasted 3 days most decent nail places if you dont swim or beach much your nail polish job should last longer than 3 days. I dont recommend this place at all.

I went on a weekday and was the only person in the salon. All I asked for was a regular mani, and she rushed the whole thing. I’m usually not picky, but she didn’t even cut my cuticles! I was in and out in 10 min with the worst mani I’ve ever paid for.

I usually go to the nail salon across the street, but they were all booked so I came here instead. This is a typical looking nail salon and layout. They have plenty of magazines to read and a good assortment of nail polish. The nail technicians were super nice ladies and I want to support them, but I just wasn’t impressed with the work. It’s kind of unsanitary how they re-use their tools instead of getting a new, clean one like some other nail salons would.

Great prices for a Kentlands neighborhood salon. Weekends it gets tricky to park so u may have to go a bit early if you have an appt. There is lots of parking a short walk away and parallel spots a few feet away. They always do a good job. They are very nice and most speak great english which rocks! TONS of color choices. lots of new magazines. There is nothing absolutely incredible about the basic mani and pedi. its a solid A. No fuss, just a pretty mani and pedi.

Came here first thing on a saturday morning bc Cute tips across the street was completely booked. They took me instantly with no wait time. The place looks a little dingy but I was in desperate need of a pedicure. Like other reviewers stated, they don’t do any cuticle work, exfoliation, etc which I desperately needed from being a runner and not having time since I had a newborn at home. The paint job wasn’t that great either. I would not recommend coming here. She also asked if I was pregnant! I just had a baby 4 weeks ago!

I’ve been going here for 3 years and won’t go anywhere else. Great service, care, and prices. The owner, Nancy, is so sweet and is always genuinely interested in her clients’ lives. All of the women have become like family to me. They’ve been here for 11 years and are one of the most consistent Kentlands businesses.

I’m going to make this fast… the day after my pedicure, my mom suggested it was time for a pedicure. I’m not embellishing! No exfoliation, no filing of flip-flop damage, and hardly any cuticle work. I just gave myself a better pedicure and I am really bad at this stuff. Save your money, honey!

There wasn’t much I liked, at all, about this salon. The owner and my nail technician kept arguing across the whole store, which was extremely awkward and unprofessional. I had polish all over my skin because the technician slapped it on with no regards to where it was landing, and made no effort to clean it up. She was friendly, but I could not get out of there fast enough.

I’m not superpicky about my nail places, but given that there are several other places to choose from… I would not return here. I wasn’t able to find many reviews of nail salons in the area, so my mission is now to try and review every nail salon in the kentlands. They had a good selection of nailpolishes, some of which I’ve never seen in other nail places. But, the pedicure was only so-so. They were nice enough to seat me within a few minutes and at least get me in a massage chair with my feet soaking, despite having two other customers(and there only being two of them). Still, everything was not new/sanitized, they reuse nail files from one big jar of files, they did not do a good job scrubbing off the dead skin(which I didn’t complain about because I didn’t want them to overscrub my feet with an unsanitary pumice). My feet look pretty, but are not as smooth as they could be. Prices were reasonable.($ 33 for pedicure with a design on the big toe) No tips on credit cards(and no AmEx or Discover)
