I have no real complaints about the store itself – my gripe is with the lack of checkout cashiers. Twice I’ve walked out of this store without buying anything – due to the long, seemingly unmoving lines. Last night, the«self-checkout» line went halfway down the length of the store. I counted three regular checkout lanes(on a Saturday!!!) – which is probably why the self-checkout line was clogged with folks buying a weeks’ worth of groceries! Apparently, this Giant thinks they can get by with a «skeleton crew» and thus save money on salaries – but that type of thinking only alienates customers. Sadly, the lack of cashiers is a problem at all local grocery stores – and, basically, all stores!

Giant supermarket is actually amazing and U.O.E.N.O. it. Giant has that million dollar, million dollar oow, oow. I waltzed into Giant for the first time in 10 years. I grew up near this store. Back in the 1990’s, this Giant was the only supermarket. I’m loyal though. I still ride with my day one homies, I don’t really need no new friends, no new friends. I might as well give them a second chance, right? I ain’t worried about nothing. Damn this place looks good nowadays though. They have local produce advertised in the front of the store, something that I would normally only see in the Bay Area. The green peppers were from the Miller farm in Pennsylvania. I am friends with the Miller farmers actually. They are my real friends. Fuck a fake friend where your real friends at? They even have self-checkout lines, a revamped produce section, and a bakery that must be All Frozen Everything, just like Trinidad James. Look inside of my soul and you can find gold and maybe get rich, hold up Trinidad James in four weeks, but now my album platinum and shit, so what Y’all keep the numbers. The bakery freezes all of its bread and then heats it up, but since this is the case, just don’t buy it! Admire the baked goods but don’t give into temptations.

They updated the store since my last review. It still has a lot of international stuff that I, personally dont care for, they have gotten better with having certain things and its a bit cleaner than what it was. If this wasnt so close, I’d go elsewhere…

HALLALUAH!!! I HAVEFOUND A GIANTNEARMETHATDOESN’T MAKEMECRY! OK, so this Giant is 5 miles away from my house… but it’s 5 miles that I will happily traverse! I’m not sure if it’s because we’ve had such horrific luck in living next to the world’s most awful Giants, or if this Giant is truly that awesome, but you know what? I’ll take it! The floral section is bright and has a lovely selection. The produce actually has…*gasp* FRESHPRODUCE! The meat section is well stocked(even on a late Saturday night) and they even carried various cuts of lamb! The gourmet cheese kiosk had all the stinky cheeses that I was looking for! The«international» aisle had more then Chi-Chi’s salsa and Manchurian Instant Noodles! HALLALUAH! Yes, I still do the majority of my grocery shopping at Asian markets, but every other week I have to make a run to an American grocery store for supplies and I’m so glad that there is finally a Giant that doesn’t suck near us! I hope this means our curse is over! :D
