Virginia ABC Store

This is the best ABC store location in the area. It’s twice as big as the one on Linton Hall and the one in Haymarket. The staff isn’t as helpful, but the selection is by far the best. They are so well stocked compared to the others. The man at the Linton Hall location educated me on the alcohol content of tequila, which was fascinating and much-​appreciated! If I need something specific, I make a point to come to this location, but if I want a recommendation or advice, I go to the one on Linton Hall. I was ignored at the Haymarket ABC store. =(

Not sure how I’ve missed reviewing this Virginia ABC Store — I’ve been in here several times…
This is the newest of the three Virginia ABC Stores is the Greater Gainesville-​Haymarket megaplex — it opened less than a year ago in the Madison Crescent retail complex — located at the intersection of U.S. 29 and U.S. 15.
Decent selection of booze, particularly vodkas and bourbons, for some reason it seems considerably smaller than the Virginia ABC Store over in Dominion Square in Haymarket — but that is a hardly a scientific observation on my part!
I’ve stocked up a few items here over the course of time this place has been open: Ketel 1 and Grey Goose vodkas, Single Malt Scotch, Knob Creek Bourbon, and other assorted hooch.
Picked up a bottle of Galliano this evening for a friend.
Good place to stock your bar!
