At first they had night time armed security at the entrance. This kept all the trash out and the place was quiet. Wrll that was over a year ago and now everyone with a hoopdie and loud steamroll drives through. Lots of pot around this place. In the last 6 months cars have been vandalized, assault and battery has occurred, breaking and entering, along with theft. All of this can be verified on the Alachua County Sheriff web site.
In the two years here i have experienced property managers selling, shutting down the pool for summer for no reason. There have been 4 property managers in 2 years. Only one of them worth their salt. The parent company is Dominion in Minnesota. All calls to them go to a voice mail. And do not count on a call back. I lived here by choice, where most live here because they have no other option. Which means it is one step away from public housing now.
The saving grace for me is that the maintenance guys are friendly and do a very good job. But keep in mind their hands are tied by the office and corporate. The sherrifs office is in and out of here on multiple occasions every day. I do not mean as a drive through but looking for someone or investigating a matter.
Kids run rampant and unsupervised at all hours with disregard for others property nor their own safety. Every morning the property is littered with beer cans and trash. It takes the maintenance guys hours to just pick up the grounds. Total disrespect for anything and anyone. The hand full of good tenants keep to themselves and stay indoors.
I personally had my checks stolen by a former property manager here and he wrote bogus checks in my name totaling thousands of dollars. The corporate office did nothing to fix my situation but to fire him. Which did nothing to help my situation.
Very noisy from the unattended children to the loud stereos from cars.
The night time security lights on the buildings through out the go unfixed. Known security lights have been out for over 9 months.
The property says it restricts certain dog breeds but that is not true. There are plenty of Pittbulls and rotts. People leave their dogs on the balconies all day so they do there business on there as well.
