Recently I had some problems with my Mercury 175 Pro XS. Although it was still under warranty I was more than a little stressed out over it as we had a trip planned soon. To add to my stress the Pro XS engines are from Mercury’s Racing Division and was skeptical if they were equipped(and trained) to diagnose and repair it. They did so flawlessly! I originally stopped in on Saturday and was greeted and written up by Jay(parts advisor). He was extremely thorough in asking questions about the symptoms I was experiencing. He suggested I call Abriel the service manager Monday in case he needed more info Abriel did a great job getting me in the shop after a few days(explaining that there were others ahead of me), but he did keep me informed even though my boat hadn’t been looked at yet. The fact that he called me instead of me worrying & having to call him to get a status update is EXACTLYHOWITSHOULDBEDONE! That is true 5 star customer service excellence! Jay the parts consultant, Chuck(the tech who worked on my engine & patiently answered all my stupid questions) all delivered top notch courteous, professional service. I didn’t buy my new engine there, but was treated like I had bought a fleet of them. Paul, the owner, has a FANTASTIC crew and should be very proud of their performance. Mercury sent me a survey about my experience and it was easy to «ace» it!!!
