Worst customer service. EVER. every time I have been here it is so unorganized. The employees they have working here are not helpful. Most of them are children. We purchased some pine straw today and we walked outside to retrieve them, we let the THREE employees who were outside know we had already purchased them. After we told them they looked at us and we kept walking to our car. After standing by the trucks with the straw on them, the one boy said, «oh I’m sorry ma’am, we thought you were parked further away» it’s so frustrating to find someone willing to help…

Placed and order Online for Store pickup at this Lowe’s. When I arrived it took 3 associates to figure out how the pickup in store worked. After about 30 minutes they finally sent an associate to go pull my order. This is the same order that I received an email conformation for saying it was ready for pickup. I am not sure why it is so hard for them to pull and order and have it ready for the customer. That is after all the whole point of ordering online for store pickup, Save time! I gave them two stars instead on one since I have had the same experience at other retailers including their competition Home Depot. My advice to you is to skip the online order and just go to the store and get the stuff yourself. It will save time and aggravation until they can get their act together.

In general, I really like this store. We bought our house in Gainesville in 2009, and we have used Lowes for a lot of our home improvement purchases. The house was a foreclosure that needed a lot of work, and Lowes worked with us to negotiate pricing on the carpeting(they beat the other contractors that we had quote the job), and helped us with some discounts on various other projects that we did around the same timeframe(painting, appliances, etc). That first year, we spent upwards of $ 10K at the Lowes store, which may have been part of the incentive for them to work with us on pricing. But even since then, we’ve been treated very well by the Lowes employees. Sadly, many of them know us on sight… which might speak to the fact that we spend WAY too much time at Lowes. But their customer service is good. They work to make their customers happy, and their pricing is fair(and negotiable in some instances — but you have to make the effort). We don’t use them for ALL projects, but we do use them for many of the DIY’s especially. I don’t necessarily trust their sub-contracted companies, so I’m a little leery of hiring them for certain jobs, but the ones that we have used them for have turned out well. Barring any really bad future experiences, we’ll likely continue to use them for most projects.
