Larry’s is always super quick and delicious. They also do daily deals that are pretty good. I always go for a study snack when I’m stuck at lib west.

Larry’s Giant Subs feeds me and my friends on a weekly, some times even daily basis! The staff is friendly and professional. Some times there’s a small wait because the store is packed with hungry Larry’s lovers like myself, but it’s never too long(understandable, since it’s sooo good). The meats are always fresh and each sandwich is amazing in its own way! You’re gonna have to try them all to know what I’m talking about :) they also have a daily special for about 4 – 5 $!!! YUMMY and affordable. My favorites and usual go-to’s are the turkey sandwich or chicken parmesan. Whatever you order, just know you won’t go wrong. Larry’s is awesome!

The worst. The workers must be high or something(management should probably look into that). The place itself was nasty. First, I asked if the hot dogs were pork or beef, the loser at the register said«I don’t know» with a blank stare and looked at the loser making the subs next to him who returned his blank stare. I ordered«sub. just steak and onions, no cheese. I can’t eat cheese.» and waited. and waited. and waited. I am in Gainesville for a school trip so we have a curfew. My friends decided that it would be okay to be a tad late so I could eat. Eventually the sub came and(SURPRISE!) there was cheese. Instead of offering a refund or a replacement, a THIRD loser gives me the same blank, dumb look. I demanded a refund and went back to my hotel hungry. Thanks for ruining my night! Is it too late to take back my application to UF?

Pepparoni sub, 9 $ with drink, pretty expensive but it was good. The workers didnt know the sandwhiches though and when I asked for a pepparoni sub(like they have online), they started making a hot pizza sub with marinara and stuff, when I wanted the cold sub with lettace and tomato and cheese. Had I not asked, they would have packaged it and sent it home with me.

I eat here occasionally for lunch, I have never been disappointed. They management is really friendly and the staff knows what they are doing. I suggest if you go to get the ultimate with everything, at first the italian dressing seemed strange but after a few bites in I was hooked and it will always be my favorite. I do indeed concur about the rueben, definitely a good sub. Missing one star because they could use a remodel, plastic sandwich needs to go.

Pretty good Cuban Sandwich, considering this isn’t Tampa, which deserves stars on it’s own. Servers are fast and polite, which is a plus. Pricing is okay, not great.

My favorite sub place in Gainesville. I have only gotten one thing here but never have wanted to change. Their Reuben is to die for. I have been there enough times to get free subs multiple times. You do this by getting either a single sandwich or a combo 10 times. I am only giving it 4 stars because I haven’t tried anything else there. My friends haven’t been too satisfied there unless they got the Reuben. I love it though so that is what matters.

Went during a weekday lunch and ordered the same sub(only smaller) as the people in front of me. 5 minutes – they got their food. I waited 10, then 15 minutes before I went and asked when my order would be ready. No apologies, just a curt 3 minutes. 10 minutes later, the people originally in front of me have finished their food and are in the process of leaving. I asked another Larry’s employee and was ignored. When I persisted why it was taking so long, the guy just shrugged his shoulders and said«we’re kinda busy here». Rude, food takes forever, and subs are average at best. F–

Larry’s is A-Okay. I am a fan of their pepperoni pizza sub. Subs are relatively well priced and the interior is the same its been the past few years. What I can say however is they do have a nice sized television to view football games or any kind of sporting event.

Having heard that Larry’s sub ranks just behind Hogan’s in Gainesville and I really love Hogan’s despite the distance, I spent seven bucks for a 8 inch chicken sub and got more pickled jalapenos and yellow peppers than chicken, and those may be all the ingredients in that sub. The chicken tastes fine but this place is not my lunch choice any more.

I have been to Larry’s on several occasions. Their sandwiches and soups are definitely not worth the price they charge. The meats are almost always cold, not fresh, and the bread is not fresh either(its kind of hit or miss). The soups tend to taste like they came out of a can(because they did) and they are overpriced. The best thing about this place is the long list of sandwiches on the menu and the fact that they accept credit cards, something Hogan’s Heroes does not do. Remember the Jerry Seinfeld character«The Soup Nazi»? Well, they have that guy’s picture plastered throughout the place. When I saw that dude’s picture, I thought«This has to be good soup». WRONG!!! It be pricy and it be bad. So, «No Soo’p fo’ me»(not from Larry’s anyway). PS, I think Larry must have some kind of special on sandwiches for police officers. Every time I visit, there have been no less than 8 to 10 cops in the dining room. I just find that kind of odd because Hogan’s is across the street, their sandwiches are better and I know cops like to eat good sandwiches… So, the only reason I can come up with is a standing special for the brothers in blue. I’m sorry, I realize this has nothing to do with food, but take it as a warning: If you are planning to steal a sandwich, don’t do it at Larry’s.

i have mixed feelings on larry’s. the service has always been really bad for me, i can’t figure out why. the food has been delicious, however i have yet to see a GIANT sub. it is absurdly overpriced. the quality and freshness has been great but it really shouldn’t take my entire lunch break to get a simple sub. that being said, it’s much better than all the«chain» sub shops even though larry’s is in fact, a chain.

Good but not great. There is something a little cheap about the meats here. If you are new to Gainesville I would suggest hogans. If you are looking for a chain sub go to firehouse or Jimmy johns.

Despite being tucked a bit back in a mini-strip mall across the street from UF, Larry’s Subs is usually packed around lunch time and with good reason. Their subs and salads are mmmmmmmmmm. Words cannot even describe. Larry’s features a lot of typical New York deli type subs, all big tasting and very filling. We’ve gone countless times over the years and although they are a little bit pricey, they are so worth it if you’re looking for a hot sub. The salads are more than filling, made to order, and taste pretty much like a sub sans the bread and mayo. The décor is fun and the TVs are almost always turned to ESPN. Good place to go before a noon Gator game or really any other time you’re in the area.
