I go to Griffis more for pine bark and wood chips than I do for actual lumber. I have purchased a truck load of cypress boards from them though. The cypress boards I bought were used to build a coop and a series of raised beds. I didn’t have any complaints about the wood. I’ve found it more convenient and cost effective buying mulch by the yard instead of picking up individual bags at Lowes. A yard of mulch will run somewhere in the neighborhood of 25 bucks. They have a variety of different mulch to choose from, but I generally get pine bark. They also sell pine straw if you need some. If it’s your first time here head to the front office and tell them what you’re interested in and they’ll get someone to help you. If you’re getting chips, pay for them in the office then drive to the back with your receipt. Hand your receipt to the fellow doing the loading and he’ll fill up your truck. For weekend projects you’ll want to get there during the morning on Saturday, as they have limited weekend hours.
