Don’t waste your time. We should have followed our instincts when we showed up at noon on a Friday and there was maybe two people there. One dude working the cash register and ‘cooking.’ Their main combo is sandwich and soup and they had no spoons. They were supposed to be there soon so three of us ordered soup to never get spoons. The ‘Plain Jane’ which is described as white Tuscan and American Cheese looked more like cheese wiz had been squirted between two slices of old bread. It looked awful. The Firebird was nothing special. The chicken tasted old/frozen and the ‘smoked turkey’ was basically Hormel deli meat. The best thing about the meal was the fountain Coke. I would literally never go here again. I’m sort of sad we didn’t just go next door to chipotle and risk food poisoning instead.

This place is good, and I’d recommend it if you’re a fan of grilled cheese sandwiches. I ordered both a Classic Melt, and the Veggie Delight Melt. The Classic melt was above average, but the Veggie Delight melt was very good. I would recommend that to anyone, and if I go there again that’s what I would get. The place itself is pretty clean, but when I went there was only one employee, who was working as both the cashier and the cook. Thus, it took a little long to make(15 – 20 mins), but it wasn’t such a big deal. The prices for the regular melts are about $ 4-$ 5 which isn’t bad at all either.

What an interesting place. Gourmet grilled cheese with tomato soup! It’s comfort food for me. The place is super clean, the staff was very friendly and made it a great experience. My meal included a drink, sandwich and soup for about $ 12, so a little more than fast food but not too bad. My only complaint was the sandwich was a little bland, it really could have used some salt and pepper. But that’s an easy fix. The business seems to be a little slow in comparison to the places around it. Moe’s was lined with people out the door and there was no wait for cheese daddy. So I’m not sure how popular it is with the local students or if it can remain open. I really enjoyed it but it’s will defiantly be a hit or miss experience for each person.

Had a couple of grilled cheese sandwiches from Cheese Daddy. Although the ingredients and bread were fresh and tasty, the toppings were meager; I ended up paying about as much(around $ 8) for each sandwich about half the size of a sub I could get from the local Publix. The Bento and Chipotle flanking the place were packed with lines of people, but less than a handful were at Cheese Daddy. Perhaps I should’ve heeded that as a warning. Did discover that I was the first to order a chocolate shake from them that night, as the young lady prepping it had an epic struggle with the shake machine, shaking it more than the shake itself, and shortly thereafter realized the chocolate container was still sealed.

Grilled cheese is one of the easiest things you can make at home, so when I saw that a restaurant that specializes in grilled cheese opened up on my side of town I was curious to try it out. Went there for the first time today. When I saw the high prices($ 6-$ 8) for the sandwiches and read the descriptions, I figure they must be outstanding. I was wrong. Truly one of the worst grilled cheeses I’ve ever had! The bread was greasy and tasteless. The cheese was incredibly bland, even though the one I ordered(I think it was called the«Ultimate») had several types of cheese including sharp cheddar and provolone. The bacon was soggy without even a hint of crispness. And the tomato basil soup was just OK, similar to canned. The greasy, tasteless sandwich was very unsatisfying and I wished I hadn’t eaten it moments after leaving this place.
