Quaint little store that sells refurnished furniture and gifts ect. I came here to buy Annie Sloan chalk paint. They were extremely helpful and walked me thru the whole process of how to paint furniture. Would be fun to take one of their classes here.

I am a repeat customer NOT because of great prices or friendly owners, only because the I DO like the product(Annie Sloan paints) and an artist who consigns her furniture there is fantastic. Also, I like supporting small, local businesses instead of the big-box or online retailers, even if it means paying a bit more. The customer service at 8LP has never been good; the owners are unsmiling, aloof toward customers, more than once engaging in private phone or 1:1 conversations at the counter while customers wait to pay. So, I made the mistake of leaving 2 lamps to be repaired. One, a handpainted porcelain lamp, was ruined when the repair guy epoxied the base in the wrong direction with the painting in the back. The female owner became very defensive, refusing to acknowledge the mistake, implied I was lying and refused to call the man who«repaired» it on his day off because she«respected his day off.» She didn’t apologize for the permanent mistake, couldn’t tell me when he’d be back to work«it depends on how many orders he has» to resolve the matter, and refused to even discount the faulty labor. Not only was my lamp ruined, but I had to pay the man who ruined it. So, BUYERBEWARE. The female owner is arrogant, rude, and clearly does NOT value her customers and does not stand behind their work. I won’t be returning.

Funky lil gift and boutique lighting shop, helpful staff and someone in town finally sells Annie Sloan Chalk Paint! They had every color and offered a free class after I purchased a can of paint, wax and Annie’s brush! Can’t wait to get started!
