Serendipity Boutique is an okay shop. It’s a good place to find some nice higher-end items. Because Serendipity is selective in what they’ll take, prices are higher than you’d find at a thrift store but still much less than retail. Items are good condition and a few still have their original tags. The store itself is clean and organized. There’s a good selection of clothes in all sizes, separated by type of clothing, and then by size within that type. Jewelry is near the front, and there’s a substantial amount of it. Ditto for shoes — more shoes and handbags than in comparable shops. Serendipity has a large children’s consignment section, too, that includes a few toys. There are two small(and clean) dressing rooms in the back. If you have things you’d like to consign: call and make an appointment. Make sure what you have is in near-pristine condition, though. If there’s something a little frayed, with a pulled thread or a stain you think isn’t visible — it’ll be found. Fluorescent lights can be brutal in bringing out flaws. Things not sold within a couple of months and not picked up by the consignor, are donated to charity. That keeps the stock fresh.
