Very typical Chinese takeout place. Besides that I tried the bourbon chicken. It was very chewy and stringy. Not very good. From the beginning to the end the staff was far from friendly.

I had the best Asian food last night at this restaurant and I couldn’t believe my bill was so low. I had the hot and spicy General Tao Chicken, rice and egg roll, oh my goodness it was fabulous. The atmosphere was quiet and pleasant,. The restaurant was very clean and the service was super fast and friendly. I’ll defiantly go back again and again.

Mei Wei Asian Diner is a typical American Chinese, strip mall, Chinese restaurant. The food is solid and tasty, if you are looking for American Chinese food and you all know that sometimes all you want is some sweet and sour chicken or some roast pork lomein. Service is quick and the restaurant is clean. I would say that for the combo meals($ 7.49 at the time we were there), the portions are a little small, but then again it is cheap.

Quaint dine-in/take-out. Smaller restaurant than I expected, but sufficient seating for our group. Enjoyed the Thai food and egg rolls. Not the most adventurous place but the food was good and plenty filling.

Love the flower shrimp and Kung pao chicken combo. Always fresh, flavorful and light on the salt. Top notch egg rolls too.

Food is pretty good and service is prompt. Servers don’t seem terribly happy. Not the best food by far but adequate.

Tonight marked my 3rd visit in as many weeks. I only eat seafood so everything I’ve tried had shrimp. Each dish has been expertly prepared. Shrimp Lo Mein, Shrimp Fried Rice, but tonight I asked if they could make me some Orange Shrimp. It wasn’t on the menu, but they graciously obliged. Quite possibly the most succulent shrimp I’ve ever had. The price is right and the food is great, I can’t ask for much more than that.

First time here tonight because we were a little hesitant after reading reviews. As others said this is definitely a step above your average chinese restaurant. Menu contains a wide range of items even though not as much as a regular fast food chinese restaurant. Food was pretty good. We ordered the hibachi chicken which was chicekn breast with a good brown sauce and many greens(broccoli, zucchini) mushroom, onions and carrots. The dinner portion is enough for two. We also ordered the honey chicken combo which was fresh, sweet and tasty as well. The shrimp roll and egg roll was very fresh not greasy and tasty. Wait staff was nice not much to rave about. Overall good food, great for a quick cute eat in or to go. We will definitely be back!

First time here. Had the Kung Pao Chicken which was very good — really probably the best Kung Pao I’ve had in a long time or maybe ever(except for the Kung Pao I had in China). Nice pieces of chicken, good quality meat. Decent amount of spice. Reasonable portions. I will definitely be back!

A step above your average chinese restaurant. I’ve eaten here over a dozen times and have always been satisfied. Tried some of their«thai» items a few times, were acceptable but not as good as from a thai restaurant. But since there currently are no thai restaurants in the area I can’t complain.

Fresh food and quick service! It’s a small place and geared mostly to take out but the décor is nice … Better than the New China near my home in Cary. I’d come here again when I’m in town. I had the Szechuan Shrimp! Nice & spicy!!!

Went to Mei Wei Asian Diner for the first time for some takeout food. Although it did not taste like my normal Chinese food — it was very tasty. Lots of food for a very good price. Recommend.

Not bad for the price. There are large portions-two people can easily split one dish. I usually get the pad Thai with chicken or shrimp. My family members usually get the house fried rice, sesame chicken, and general tso’s chicken. The egg rolls leave a bit to be desired… lacking in flavor for sure. I’ve had better Asian food but like I said-it’s decent for what you pay.

In a sea of mediocre Chinese restaurants, this one is a bit better than most. Kung Pao Chicken was quite good and the basic fried rice was tasty. The egg roll was bland but not greasy. I’ll likely be back.

Excellent food! We have ordered take-out several times and recently dined in. The food is very good. I usually judge a Chinese restaurant by it’s hot-n-sour soup… if it isn’t any good, most of the other dishes aren’t so hot either. Theirs was excellent, as were the spring rolls, crab wantons, and mango chicken. The service was also excellent.

Every town needs a little to go Chinese place that is yummy and sanitary at the same time. This little spot is very tasty and cute on the inside. I’ve tried just about everything there and their lunch combinations and dinner combinations are all delicious, only opportunity is I wish it was bigger portions! I get the hot and sour soup and crabragoons everytime and they are always great. All of the food is made fresh and the service is always polite. When I’m looking for Chinese take out this is always the place i can count on! What they don’t have that I wish they did were chicken wings! If you’re looking for those they don’t have any here!

Finding any decent restaurants in Fuquay is a real challenge. Finding decent Asian food is almost impossible. Mei Wei just opened a few months ago next to the HT off of 401 and is a great little Asian restaurant to grab take out or even eat in. This place has everything from hibachi to Thai to basic American Chinese. The decorate is simple and clean; you can see straight into the kitchen and it was clean. The lady at the counter was super nice and helpful since my husband had a very complicated order. The place was busy on a Sunday night at 7:30 but hand enough seating to handle around 50 people. They get 4 stars for the amount of food you get and the price. We had enough for dinner the next night after ordering two entrees and two spring rolls for 22 dollars(this included an entrée with shrimp and chicken). We both ordered Thai dishes and I do need to warn anyone that likes spicy Thai food that you need to tell them that you want Thai hot because the spicy level is low after requesting hot. Our friends got a couple American Chinese dishes along with crab rangoon and they looked good and plentiful. Next time we head back to Mei Wei we will request them to go a bit lighter on the oil and more on the spice. Decent find in the FV.
