Very happy with the service I get from KB Johnson. When we moved into our house it was the first time I had to use a propane service — we had natural gas at our previous house. The technicians were very helpful, courteous, and professional in setting up our gas range and logs. Had several really cold spells during the winter along with an ice storm that knocked out power off and on for several days so I was glad we had an alternate to electricity. The Saturday before Easter Sunday I discovered I was running low on fuel with a lot of cooking ahead. To be safe, I called for after hours delivery which would’ve cost me $ 125 extra on top of the fuel charge. Instead of just coming out and collecting the after hours fee, the technician on call helped me assess how much fuel I had and would need for the weekend and determined I had enough, which I did.

Complete morons. Called them when I first moved to my property to see if the unmarked tank belonged to them and they were rude and uncooperative. Fast forward to 7 years later, they show up wanting to remove it with a piece of paper on a clip board saying it belonged to them.
They then came out to my property unannounced twice to paint and add stickers to their tank, probably because they had been in violation of the law for the last 7 years.
Well, thankfully, we now have natural gas in the area so I am switching.
Don’t be fooled by their «small town» BS. Go with a bigger company that is competent and safe. Any company that can’t keep track of their own equipment and cannot obey NC LP regulations is not a place you want to do business with.
