My car has been having a battery issue I couldn’t figure out why .so I dropped off the car at this shop turns out it was the battery sensor had it fixed price was fair and very honest guy will be coming back again for other repairs thank you

Took my e92 BMW for the first time. Ubaldo was very honest and knows what he is talking about. I plan on taking all my BMWs to him in the near future!

We’ve been taking our two mercedes to Ubaldo for about a year now and we are always satisfied with the work and most importantly, the price.
We were there today and took our car in the morning and it was ready for us by the end of the day.

Came here to replace the oil pan gasket on my 2008 BMW 328i. Dealership was going to charge me $ 1400 but Udalbo charged me significantly less. Super honest guy who won’t make you pay for service you don’t need. He’s extremely competent and credible since he has experience in working for BMW dealerships. Love this place and will be coming here for all my car needs. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Been here numerous times and have always had a very good experience. A good friend told me the guys here are trustworthy and they are. They do not try to stick it to you with repairs that are actually not needed and the prices are very fair. I have zero complaints and Ubaldo is a very honest and humble guy. It is a bit of a drive for me to get here but I am really happy I found someone I can trust with my car.

I’ve been coming here for 3 – 4 years now since my warranty ended. My experiences are nothing less then superior. Ubaldo, the owner is honest and stands by his work. Besides the routine services, I’ve done brakes, valve gasket cover, coolant hoses and many others. By far the best work, customer service, and price.
Best of all, he doesn’t try to sell or scare you into unneeded work. I have found his advices to be very helpful and easy on the pocketbook.
I trust this place and will recommend to anyone who has a BMW or Mercedes.

The Real Mechanic Shop is the best Mercedes shop in North Orange County by far. In July last year I bought a 1994 Mercedes SL320 R129 Roadster and began restoring it to new condition this is a pretty rare sports car. I needed a shop that was honest, fair priced and above all excellent Mercedes mechanics (not «technicians» like at the over priced dealer) I went to see Ubaldo on the recommendation of a friend who takes his car there. I was very impressed with this shop as I’m a mechanic myself of 50 years. I had a drive line clunk that he diagnosed as a trans needing be overhauled so I figured after a trip to Maryland via Route 66 I would begin the restoration with the trans.
Well I got 2880 miles into my sons driveway and the trans lost reverse I checked with the Dealer in Baltimore and they wanted $ 6500.00 plus $ 200.00 transport to repair. I already had a quote from Ubaldo so it was well worth putting the car on a covered transport truck and send it to his shop for rebuild he did it better than new with all factory parts and so the project began,
Between Ubaldo and Rafael they diagnose spot on no guessing. They have restored this car to mint condition, everything from complete suspension including all links, shocks and HR springs, engine harness, rebuild cyl head, replace convertible top hydraulic cyls, slotted brake rotors with ceramic pads and all electrical issues, Thanks toThe Real Mechanic Shop, Placentia Auto Body along with all leather from Westminster Upholstery I have a brand new SL320

bad experience. Hours of operation 8 – 5 on Saturday. Called Friday 6÷20÷14 told me they open at 12 – 5 Saturday. Bit odd.
Arrived on Saturday @215pm.told me they’re closing in a couple mins.
Remind you guys, hours of operation 8 – 5 and it’s only 215pm. Disappointed.

I came to this shop on the advise of a dealership owner. He takes all his cars to Obaldo and told me about his background running the service department at a major BMW dealership. My car was diagnosed at a BMW dealership with 2 moderate oil leaks (valve cover gasket & oil housing) plus a transmission seal sleeve leak topped off with a halo light that was out. Total dealer quote? Close to 4k!!! I was bummed big time but after Obaldo gave me an exact quote over the phone (about ¼ less than dealer price) I was sold!
He was very professional and straightforward with everything (pricing, mechanical advise, etc) and told me to pick up my car in a few days. When it came time to pick up my car I was nervous and eager to see/​feel if the car performed better after repairs. It ran like the day I purchased maybe better! Obaldo gave me a detailed invoice with info on the inspections, parts, & repairs he performed. He was such a cool guy and got my car running like it should again (even washed the oil stains on engine from the leaks). Like finding a great doctor, finding a great mechanic is a rare but satisfying accomplishment!

I have finally found a trusted mechanic. Having a german car can be quite costly when repairs are needed but the owner knows what hes doing.
My car stopped in the middle of L. A so I had it towed nearby to two mechanics who didnt know what the problem was. Frustrated, I decided to tow it all the way to this auto shop. He even waited for my car to be towed to his shop even though he was already closed. He immediately knew what the problem was and charged me literally a quarter of what the dealer would have charged me and half of what other mechanics asked for. If you have a European car, he is the go to mechanic. I have taken my car to Bonas auto repair (fairly well known close to this mechanic) but they charge higher for the same work.
This place also has a very nice waiting room with complimentary water and coffee. Also clean bathrooms.
Bottom line: very affordable, honest, and you get more for what you pay.

I just want to say my experience here was just amazing. Before I visited this BMW shop, I went to three different shop to get my car diagnosed. I had few electrical issues and I even took the car to a so called reputable dealer. I paid more than $ 150 for diagnose fee at the dealership and they told me it was the battery problem. I changed the battery and the problem still existed. Then I decided to give this place a shot, knowing that I always pass by this shop on the way to work and I always see alots of cars (especially BMW) being worked on here.
I just want to say the level of commitment, service, and quality of work was beyond I had ever imagined. Obaldo who is the owner used to be one of the main certified tech at the Shelly BMW (another reputable BMW dealership around the OC). He knows exactly what the car is doing and he is just a professional with in mind. I was amazed to see the action he was taking and all the professional BMW specific tools that he had in the shop. He went through all the diagnostic paper and he was pretty sure that this was the causing problem.
Not only that Obaldo just quotes the fair and right price at the first time. I had called multiple shops and this was one of the few shop that gave me the fair pricing on the labor, hours, and even parts.
I will now ONLY bring my BMW E92 to this shop and if you are hesitating where to take your BMW… bring it here! Trust me, I have already went through the over priced dealership and I was more pleased with my experience here. Well deserved 5 star!

I have always taken my Mercedes ans BMW’s to the dealers around the corner but I just used The Real Mechanic and am 100% satisfied. My car was ready when promised and final bill was less than my original written estimate! Thanks guys for a job well done!

I was really glad to learn about this shop after I’ve been ripped off not only by another BMW shop but also from a BMW dealership! The folks here at this shop are very friendly, experienced, and most importantly honest professionals. I can highly recommend if you drive a BMW or Mercedes.
