Normally the cashiers are pleasant. Welcoming and friendly. Today, Trudy was at the register. She sounded peasant but had no smile. I asked she page a young girl who was with us. Trudy looked at me annoyed and asked«What are you looking for?» When I said ‚” I’m looking for a girl.” She was more annoyed and said, Well, what’s her name?”

I can usually find something at Stein Mart, but it’s pretty expensive. They don’t offer enough regular coupons for customers, but they seem to offer those for already clearanced merchandise. They do have some unique gift ideas for the home and tough to shop for person.

Three words: Red Dot Clearance. The first time I came here, I purchased four tops(Isaac Mizrahi, Philosophy, among other quality brands), a dress, and two pairs of Chinese Laundry shoes for less than $ 80. From there, I was hooked. I subscribe to their emails which often contain coupons for 40−50% off red dot clearance(we’re talking $ 6 brand name blouses here) as well as 20% off sale items. They have a great home selection, as well, and many accompanying coupons. This place gets a reputation as being only for middle-aged women, but I’m 26 and I’ve bought at least three dozen things from Stein Mart in the past year. Don’t judge a book by its cover and head on down. Several locations, but this one is my favorite.

like others have mentioned it’s similar to a TJ Maxx, Marshalls, or Ross. Got a couple nice dress shirts for a decent sale price. The only thing I’m annoyed about is when I did an exchange for one of the shirts they did not honor back the $ 10 coupon I had used for the first shirt toward the exchanged one. I had to pay the difference. Although it probably is printed on the coupon that it is one time use and not valid on exchanges or returns, however such an annoyance!

I like to call this the Granny store. I made my friend take me here today after lunch. I found a cute Betsy Johnson bag for 50 bucks. I wanted to buy it but it was white and if anyone knows me I can’t do white because it wont stay white. But anyways this store has hits and miss. I like it, not crowded at all, pretty neat. I don’t mine dressing like grandma, she has a few items I don’t mind borrowing.

This store has the worst customer service & try’s to take advantage of the elderly shoppers. Would never spend a cent here again!

I had never heard of Steinmart before I moved to the area. It’s so close to my house, which is dangerous. I love looking through their home décor section. I always find great deals on really cute items. Haven’t checked out their clothing/handbag section yet, but it seems like it’s more for an older generation. So home stuff it is for me! The staff is really friendly, and they seem to keep it pretty organized, and they always have amazing sales. I’d compare it to a higher end Marshalls.

I know this sounds a bit lame, but I thought they sold beer steins here. Then my wife told me otherwise, it is more like a Ross or Marshall’s. When we walked in I immediately forbade her from buying any clothes here. Why? I don’t particularly want her to go for the look that my teachers had during the 80’s. Just bizarre retro clothing that’s not retro. Great place if you love rhinestones on everything you wear. I can imagine a store like this in Palm Springs or Temecula, or any other place that is populated with Anglo retirees. Wait, I live in Fullerton bordering Yorba Linda, now it makes sense. I think they give discounts for AARP members, but don’t quote me on that. Men’s clothing is a bit better. If you are going for that golf look then there is plenty of that here. I just wish they carried those golfing knickers so I could find something to go with my Argyle socks. Their homegoods area is a bit kitschy and they have lots of «I’m the Bride» or «I’m the Bridesmaid» stuff that couldn’t sell in other stores, or cities, or countries. They have some ok wineglasses, etc, but it is a bit hit and miss(better selection at TJ Maxx). Food stuff wise, they have sauces and things from, you guessed it, Paula Deen. My only gripe(other than the fashion) was that they make it seem like they mark down an item a great deal, when in fact it is the same price as Crate and Barrel. It is based on the MSRP from years back when it first debuted on the shelves. The aisles are also very Scoot-Around friendly.

I’ve walked by here a million times and never went in, until tonight. At first I thought it was golf clothing store, but no, it’s more like an upscale Ross Dress for Less. If that is really possible. Sort of had the same layout and type of merchandise. I did see something I may buy as a last resort, which is good to have that option. *What’s up with Christmas crap already on display? Too damn early for that!

I felt like I was the only one there not enrolled in Medicare. And this is reflective of the clothes they have to offer.

I almost always find something I like for very little here… but it is really hit and miss… they have some ODD things here. My husband buys clothing here too and comes up with some pretty«spiffy» things to wear to Masons…
