I like to grab a BBQ Chicken Plate from here once every so often because their food always seem to hit the spot just right. Especially during finals! 2 Blocks away from CSUF makes this place ideal to get away from all the cramming to really enjoy yourself while on your student budget.

After a week of being on the mainland, my BF needed RICE and MACSALAD! So on our way back to the Grand Californian after a day at Universal Studios(and a stop at kohl’s), we stopped here so he could get his plate lunch fix. It’s exactly like the L&Ls here in hawaii — the esthetics and food offerings, it’s close to a CSF, so there were a lot of college kids coming in and out… I was surprised how many non-hawaii people ordered spam musubi! The food was good, I ate the mini chicken plate and I think my BF had a mix plate of some sort. This place was pretty clean and even had a restroom… I didn’t use it(I have public restroom issues), but my BF didn’t report back with any gross findings after he did!

My familu used to have a hawaiian restaurant so we travelled to Hawaii sometimes. Now that we don’t have the restaurant anymore, L&L is the only place I go whenever I crave for Hawaiian food when not in Hawaii

I searched L&L looking to review this location,(because this place is the best) and found that this is the only L&L with more than 3 stars! lol! Well yea it’s true this place is the bomb! Always ready to eat a lot when I come here. Good here never gets old!

I recommend the short ribs, chicken katsu, and spam misubi-with hot sauce. Such big servings. Owners are very nice as well! I like to get my Boba here too‼

Best Hawaiian food off the islands! After going to Hawaii I was looking for that authentic taste and style, and for a quick service chain this is seriously the best. Spam musubi is only $ 1.50, and their teriyaki sauce is different that any other LnL out there, they must make it them selves. Katsu and BBQ chicken is awesome also, but my favorite is still the Lau Lau. Cashier is always friendly when you come in, and the service is quick. Definitely need to try it if you haven’t.

This is my first time coming to this location and boy is it now my favorite! Let’s start with the fact that the portions are huge. The chicken is Krispy on the outside and exquisitely and moist on its inside. The BBQ short ribs were super meaty and full of flavor! The owners are great too recommended the spam Mitsubishi and t sure didn’t disappoint. Thanks for the great dinning experience.

Worst L&L I’ve ever been to. Only reason it gets 2 stars instead of 1(or none if possible) is because the spam musubi was good, and the portions are huge. Spam musubi is nice and crispy… good rice to spam ratio. Only $ 1.25…$ 0.99 on Tuesdays. The chicken katsu plate I got was enough to feed two people. The chicken didn’t taste like it was seasoned at all. Big portion, but the size doesn’t matter if it doesn’t taste good. Curry sauce I got with it was bland. Katsu sauce was terrible. It tasted like watered down ketchup and tobasco sauce. Macaroni salad didn’t have as much taste as other L&L’s I’ve been to, but was okay. BBQ beef wasn’t very good either. It tasted like beef jerky, but more tender. The teriyaki sauce was pretty bad too… just tasted like sugar. The prices at L&L have gotten significantly higher over the years, and the quality is declining. There are much better choices for Hawaiian food nowadays. Will only be back here for the spam musubi, if I’m in the area.

Definitely worth the money. The food is very inexpensive and the portions are a pretty good size. They have great daily specials. The food was pretty good. Not the most amazing food I’ve ever had, but definitely still really good.

Always been a fan of L&L, for some reason I feel like this location gives less portions. anyhow, the food is still good and relatively quick. Would come back but I might slowly by transitioning to love Aloha BBQ more.

The Loco Moco was good just like on the island back in Oahu, Hawaii. A lil too much rice for me even with a mimi plate order but like the islanders it’s their tradition to service plenty of rice, next time I’ll ask for only one scoop of rice. I also tried the spam musubi and it was also good… The place could definitely use an extra cleaning, especially the outside patio chairs and tables… also the young lady at the register taking my order could learn to fake a smile :)

One of my friends goes to CSF and he always tells me how L&L has the best Thai tea and I should give it a try. Yesterday, I was in the area so my friend and I stopped by for lunch. My friend recommended the Spam Musubi, but I was not in the mood for spam, so I ordered Chicken Katsu instead with a Thai Tea. Man, I should have listened to my friend because his order of Spam Musubi looked amazing. The Chicken Katsu was ok, I had better. The macaroni was on the bland side and the chicken was kind of greasy. However, the Thai tea was really good, I would definitely come back again for it. For my next visit, instead of getting the Katsu Chicken, I am planning to order the Kalua Pork.

— Locale Destination — It’s on N State College Blvd and Chapman Ave in Fullerton. Menu: A lot bigger than other locations — Combo deals, bowls, burgers etc. They even have a boba tea, which reflects the location — right by CSUF. They have a daily deal, but it’s kinda small. Ambiance: Very casual pop & mom place. Nothing fancy. Service: Relatively quick. Parking: Plenty — Gluttony Expedition — Seafood mix: Fish & shrimp katsu, one pick of meat(I picked«short rib»), macaroni salad, rice for a little under $ 9 or 10. Katsu was kinda dry and bland. Short rib was ok, a bit overcooked. Macaroni salad was bleh. Meh. Spam musubi: it was the worst spam musubi I’ve ever had. The seaweed was so hard to chew and corrupted completely once I bit. Not good. Even for $.99 or whatever — Terrible. French fries: Good and big portion for the price. Their sauces aren’t good — for Katsu, Teriyaki etc. — Conqueror’s Deduction — I like L&L in general, but not this location. They have a lot wider varieties on menu but a little more expensive than other locations. I rarely get disappointed at L&L, but this location is pretty bleh. Even macaroni salad sucks here unlike other locations. They never screw up macaroni salad at L&L, but this location manage to do it. It also lacks in «freshness» here. Sucks.

An L&L that stands out! Selling .99 cent Spam musubis everyday .99 cent 22oz fountain drinks $ 4.99 Mahalo Combo –this location features some menu items that are not found in most L&Ls and the food comes in quantity and quality at an affordable price! These 5 stars do not speak for the entirety of what is on the menu here, but these 5 stars represent the entirety of what my stomach and wallet can afford. When I come here I always get the mahalo combo, spam musibi and a drink. No, the mahalo combo does not entail a drink within the combo but the mahalo combo contains… –scoop of BBQ chicken, katsu, or kaluha pork –scoop of rice –scoop of macaroni salad The word«scoop» might indicate a small meal, but in actuality the mahalo combo itself fills me up. Of course that is different per person. But that’s why I also purchase a spam musubi on the side… Spam musubi is only .99 cents! More filling than what you can find on a dollar menu elsewhere. .99 cent spam musubis are typically sold on tuesdays in most L&Ls but this one does it everyday! It is not a puny little thing, but shames the dollar cheeseburger found under the golden arches. Also a 22oz drink is .99 cents! Overall… –good price –good food –good service I havent found a major con yet, but if I do I will update this review. I have found myself to be a repeat customer.

Finally an L and L that is open on Saturday’s, even though I came here on Sunday. I’m not sure why but I’ve always ran into L and L on Saturday they’ve been closed. However, I saw the times on this one and they were open. This place is located on State College and Chapman, right next to a CVS Pharmacy. It’s kind of in a small location but its still a little spacious inside and has a few spots outside. Pretty clean inside and food was cooked well. The front desk person was helpful, they seemed a little crabby, but probably just a long day at it was towards closing hours. I thought that this was kind of a rip off for the amount I paid and the portion I got but it was more than enough and I’m definitely going to take the rest for lunch for work tomorrow. I’m glad they put the curry on the side so it wouldn’t get soggy while I drove home. I suggest getting their macaroni salad, I love it. I would recommend this place if you’re craving katsu, chicken, or beef. Opened pretty late which is nice.

$ 1 Spam Masubi !!! I love this place for Hawaiian Barbecue. Service is fast and friendly. I feel like the quality of their varies from day to day at this location, but I still enjoy everything. Recommendations: + Chicken Katsu: Fried thin strips of chicken served with rice and macaroni salad. I love their Katsu Sauce mixed with Siracha + Spam Masubi: $ 1.need I say more? + Kaluha Fries: Pork, cabbage, tomatoes, special sauce on a large mountain of fries
