Smog Checks for $ 30?! I thought it was too good to be true but they definitely are! Very nice staff on top of that! I’ll definitely be paying them a visit same time next year!

Moe is simply the best!!!
They say you can’t find an honest mechanic. Well, I found one in Moe. I have been a customer of Moe for numerous years now and have recommended three other friends to him. None of us has ever been disappointed. He is an outstanding guy carrying none of that self-righteous-know-it-all-you’re-so-stupid attitude that usually accompanies most mechanics. The man is friendly, patient and honest. If it’s an electronic problem, he’ll tell you that’s it’s not his department and make recommendations instead. If it’s the catalytic converter, again, he’ll send you to Placentia where a muffler specialist awaits.
The man even gave me a free diagnostic today. I drove up to the garage and even though he was busy on a project, he took the time to greet and chat with me (knows me by name). I mentioned the illuminated ‘Check Engine’ icon/​light in my car and he immediately grabbed the diagnostic instrument. He plugged in under the dash and within a minute let me know that it was a Catalytic Converter issue. He explained the possible scenario and as to what kind of work might be needed and the cost associated. Since he doesn’t work on said component, he recommended a guy that does.
If it is something Moe can work on and fix — which is pretty much everything else — he will do so. He will be sure to call you with updates and new finds, if any. You will never show up at the shop to pick up your car and discover that the bill has somehow been inflated form the original quote. Moe will call and let you if there are any new discoveries or changes. He’s good like that!
I highly recommend this car shop and be sure to ALWAYS ask for MOE!

My complaint is that the station at 506 N. State College Blvd, Fullerton, CA 92 831 posted a different price on their sign than what I was changed at the pump. This is not ethical.

The station is near a college where I work and I think they are intentionally luring students into the station with «low prices» and then charging more. I want to report this to you.
They advertised $ 2.89 and charged me $ 2.999
(even the extra .999 seems unethical).
I am not going to complain to the manager or owner, because they are the ones doing this to customers. I will also report to the BBB and online review sites.

This is the first time I’ve ever had to take my car in for smog so I had absolutely no idea what I was doing or what a good price for a smog was. So I called here, by far the best decision I could’ve made. Great prices and great services! So fast! I’ve been to car washes that take longer. Great job guys! Keep up the good work! :)

This review is for Moe. The mechanic running the service station.
By far, one the best and most honest, helpful mechanics I’ve met and come across. He was always honest, upfront and explained every thing in detail. I had my car in his shop 3 or 4 times and he was always on time with repairs and kept up with good communication!

Decided to take my car to Moe after reading all the reviews on Unilocal.I showed up, Moe took my car for a smog check, 20 minutes later he was done, and he sent me on my way. Great customer service from both Moe and the clerk inside the Mobil Mart. No wait time. I will definitely be bringing my car here for maintenance work.

Moe as stated in previous reviews is extremely honest and that’s why I choose him for all my automotive needs. Yesterday my Jeep Cherokee’s brake pedal would not depress and I knowing a little about mechanics figured it was the power booster but figured a mechanic could replace it faster and with less of a mess than myself. Well I took it to Moe and explained my issue and he lifted the hood and immediately stated its your brake power booster check valve looks like it is blow and is causing a leak. Next he told me what no mechanic that I know of told me… Go to AutoZone and buy the check valve which should fix your problem it’s only a couple of bucks. Wow!!! He saved me a few hundred bucks, which if it was another mechanic he would have drained me for diagnostic test and parts that I might not have needed. By lthe way my Jeep runs better than ever. Thank You Moe wish more people were like you.

I first went to have my a/​c charged. Moe was good and the price was only $ 45. Then I went to have more repairs. My horns were out and my oil light was intermittently coming on. I was told it would be almost $ 350 to fix the horns because of expensive parts. He also thought an oil sensor was causing the problem so I had that replaced. But it wasn’t the problem. So I paid $ 177– $ 87 for the sensor and $ 90 for diagnosing the horns. I know there would be a diagnostic charge if you don’t do the repair but I think an hour labor charge was too much. In the end, I had the same problems I had when I went there and am out $ 177.

The clerks have all been very attentive and helpful when I have been in here.
I was borrowing a friend’s car, and couldn’t figure out how to open the gas tank (:/​) and he came out of the store and helped me! A++ for service :)

I’ve been taking my cars (Chevy, VW, Mercedes and BMW) for the past 17 years to this Fullerton Mobil gas station with exceptional service. They’ve taken great care of all my cars. They are very honest and do the job right the first time. And… the price is right!!!

I don’t know much about cars, so it’s nice to find a reliable mechanic that I trust. Over the last 12 years, I’ve had an old clunker and two new cars, so I’ve gone to Moe for everything from basic maintenance to serious problems. He has always fit me in even at the last minute, and alerts me to problems I didn’t even know about. Just last week, I took my car in for its 25K service, and he found a huge nail in one of my back tires. He patched it up right there, which was great because I was taking a roadtrip for Thanksgiving weekend.

This review is for the service station, particularly Moe the mechanic. I’ve seen Moe on two separate occasions now when my car needed servicing. He is the most knowledgeable and honest mechanic I know.
the first time I visited this station was when my serpentine belt snapped and I had it replaced by another mechanic elsewhere. as it turns out, they put in a belt that was too long and it caused a strange noise after some time. I took it to a couple of people and asked for a diagnosis, and nobody knew what was wrong. Moe took one look and figured it out. He ordered a new belt, and changed it for me. He even gave me the old belt and told me to take it back to whoever installed it. I was very impressed with how knowledgeable and professional he was. My car never had a problem with the belt after that.
The second visit was when I had a loud strange noise coming from my car whenever I stepped on the gas. I was not in town so I took it to another service station and they said it was a muffler problem. I ended up driving home and taking it to Moe, and again he diagnosed it immediately after just one look. It turned out to be a busted EGR Pipe. He quoted me $ 200 for the fix, and I agreed. When I returned, he told me that instead of replacing the pipe, he took it to a welding shop and fixed my pipe instead, saving me about 70 bucks. He added that if the pipe breaks again, he will install a new one free of charge. Pipe is still doing great, and my car is running good as new again.
it is a great feeling to have a good mechanic that doesn’t scam you.
