Have not been to the original but great authentic food. Full bar and TV’s everywhere. Staff is friendly and willing to help with suggestions and recommendations. You can’t beat the location. We will be coming back for sure!

Never again. Dinner tonight with the man. Can not say enough about what a horrible experience it was. Slow inattentive service, incorrect order was brought to us, bar tenders are either rookies or just lazy. Food was cool and overloaded with salt. Something was not quite right about the ‘salsa’ brought with the cold and greasy chips. The salsa had a chemical taste to it. Margarita watered down. Don’t go. Just don’t. Gave it one star because the water was refreshing.

I have to up them to 4 stars from 3 stars before. Breakfast today was an egg white, cheese, and beans burrito enchilada style with added jalapenos. It was delicious! The chips were a little greasy today, and the salsa was still«watery with no heat» as I said before, but it was still pretty good. The burrito was solid, the Bloody Mary pretty decent, and service was great as always.

I’ve gone to the original one in Placentia for years… This one in Fullerton doesn’t live up to it. The food is just not as good. It’s in a very good location thorough, so that’s probably its saving grace. However, they have THEBESTMICHELADAS. Honestly, if you wake up with a hang over, and that feeling of a hammer hitting your head then go down and get a MICHELADA. Seriously the best damn ones I’ve ever had.

Last night we brought our two friends to try this place out for their first time & it was okay. This was my second time here and they greeted us well &I the service was ok. Took us a while to get their attention once our food arrived(since they forgot to bring out some of the stuff) The drinks are so yummy!!! Thumbs up for that!!! I ordered the nachos with carne asada & guacamole(both extra) which is fine. But WOW talk about STINGY!!! the nachos were good but there was not a lot of meat and the guac was almost $ 2& it was the size of my FINGERNAIL!(See pic) I even doubled checked with them to tell them I ordered the guac and they said that’s all I get. Wow, way to make a customer feel dumb for spending extra money on bird size extra. Note to self: stop by Chiptole for guac if you want it on any of your dishes here. Might come back but I’ll be fine if I don’t. Same goes with my friends.

Good Food Train Wreck of service. This is concerning the take out at this place. Honestly, I think the cooks simply whip together whatever comes to mind, not your order. I’ve ordered from this place several times, as it is very close to my house. I would say out of 6 times, 5 of them they got the order wrong. example, I asked for 2 chicken Tacos, and got one chicken and one shredded beef. My wife has ordered the same basic burrito and it has been made 4 different ways. Sometimes with beans, other times stuffed with salsa, other times just meat. Once time I got entirely different dish! And god help you if you ask for no tomatoes! You will probably get extra. When you call to place an order, many times the phone will ring and ring and ring then go to their voice mail. For take out, call the El Farolito on East St or the original in Placentia. They are fine and worth the extra drive. The owners need to get over to this place and straight the staff out. Look at the other reviews, it’s obvious that they simply are focus on the drinks here, which is their money maker.

This was my first time in this restaurant you have too place your order at the bar if u want take out. But what I really enjoyed was having a beer at the bar while I waited for my food. I really enjoyed that that’s really cool. I bought the Farolito burrito the burrito was good but it was just a little bit too salty.

A family favorite for decades now with 3 generations and we all have our favorites here. Can get busy quickly during lunch and dinner so get her a bit early to avoid the rush.

Food was good I’ll throw that right out in the open but I’ll tell you what — the service was terrible. My water literally was the Sahara desert by the time my food came let alone by the time I was finished eating. Food and drinks were deadly slow and just waiting for the check took literally 20 minutes. Needless to say I will not be returning. Pro tip: ask for lemons for your water. Throw a spends in there and mash it around with your straw: BOOM: carnival style lemonade for free. That’s value folks.

Love love this place! I got the Farolito burrito because I couldn’t decide which burrito I want so I got the one with half-half sauce. The size is so big! Their salsa is amazing!

Absolutely love this place! Best Mexican food in town! Had our wedding catered from El Farolito in Anaheim in 2013. Fullerton jr is just as good if not better than the other locatuons! Had our housewarming party catered from the Fullerton location recently, they were on time, great price, super friendly! Can’t say enough about this place! Chips and salsa are the best! You won’t regret coming here!

Not a bad place. Literally next door to the church. Parking is in the back and a garage across Wilshire, just south of the restaurant. Happy hour is when a group of coworkers and myself went. I’m fairly new to the department, and they said that this is their usual place. They go there to have their antioxidants, the pomegranate margarita. Lol. Anyways, happy hour well drinks are 2 for $ 7. Not a bad deal. Had a couple coworkers buy the happy hour appetizers, which looked good. The Mexican pizza was gigantic! I went with the carnitas platter, always my go to dish. You really can’t foul up carnitas. It was pretty good. I like mine really well done, you know extra crispy. The beans were a little runny, but good flavor. Overall experience was good. Server was ok, a little under attentive. Noise level is a bit high. I couldn’t hear past one seat.

Only been here for their henchatas only but will be returning to try their food and disblito. If you like Hennessy and horchata– this is the place you gotta stop by for the drinks. I’m not a big horchata fan but I love henny and it was a pretty good combo.

My friends and I came here during New Year’s Eve and the place was packed. Luckily, we only had to wait about 5 mins before our table was ready. Our waiter was helpful and friendly considering how the place was chaotic. Before we even arrive at the restaurant, my friends kept telling me how this place has the best Carne Asada tacos. I was really excited until the waiter told us that they are out of Carne Asada. It was understandable since it was New Year’s Eve and we came in an hour before closing. Instead of getting the Carne Asada tacos, I ordered the enchiladas with the green sauce and it was delicious. The rice and bean were amazing and it was favored to perfection. Not to mention the enchiladas itself, the meat was tender. This place also offers complementary chips and salsa. They also have margaritas. I did not have the chance to try the margaritas myself, hopefully next time. I also have to come back and try the Carne Asada tacos.

My 2nd visit was decent. The service was quicker than the first and I was in and out in about 45 minutes. The food on this visit was a little less tasty than my 1st visit. I would give this place an overall rating of 3.5 stars.

Came for Taco Tuesday, left kind of disappointed. Taco Tuesday deal is .99 cent per taco and it’s a little bigger than your average street taco/taco cart/taco truck. They also have a 3 taco and a large draft for $ 8 which is a pretty good deal, the beer is huge! I only came because I wanted to try the Hennessy with horchata(Henchata)! It was delicious the mixture is heaven. But for $ 15 I thought it was kind of steep for a horchata and a shot of Hennessy. The tacos were sub par, ordered the carne Asada and the al pastor. The meat just tasted dry and rubbery and just did not have any flavor, very plain. I do like that they give you this spicy guac on the side with your tacos, definitely made the tacos edible. I also do like that they give you chips and salsa as you wait, the salsa was good! Overall, drinks are good, I was kind of disappointed the tacos weren’t good, but maybe I need to try another dish, but I usually base my decision on the most basic dish(a taco). If they can’t get that right idk about the rest of the menu.

Decent prices, a-ok food. We waited about 20 minutes for a table for two on a weeknight around 7:30PM. Boyfriend ordered the enchiladas verdes with carnitas, I had the arroz con pollo. The food was pretty flavorful, but I was really turned off that my arroz con pollo was overly salty. I actually liked his meal versus mine. Our waiter forgot the tortillas, but ended up bringing extra when I reminded him. The salsa is a bit spicy but not too overwhelming. Would be interested in coming back and trying their happy hour specials as I hear they are pretty great.

I’m obsessed with this place! Awesome food, awesome deals, and awesome service. I’ve only been here a few times but so far I’ve tried the shrimp la diabla, which doesn’t look that good in pictures but it’s really delicious. The waiter warned me it was very spicy but it wasn’t too spicy. I have also tried the taquitos which I think are delicious anywhere I go. They have a really good happy hour menu and taco Tuesday where a street taco is 99 cents, chicken, pork and carne asada I believe. Deeeeelicious! The waiters I’ve had here are very friendly. It gets really busy here weekend nights so if you wanna avoid a half hour wait go earlier or another night.

Same food/menu/prices as the original. Newer/more modern space AND they allow reservations unlike the original. Also this location is in Downtown Fullerton so you can stop by a bar or two afterwards. NOTE: if you order a margarita pitcher make sure you ask how much it will be beforehand. We ordered a pitcher of skinny margaritas and it was $ 40 vs. the $ 18 that normal margaritas were –___–
