It’s been hot lately here so I’ve been craving some cold things to eat. I got the earl grey snow with mochi and honey drizzle. It’s very light and perfectly sweeten! I don’t like desserts that are too sweet, but this is perfect even with the honey. I will get the large one next time for sure!

Had been looking for a shaved snow place and happened to be in the area. Good flavors and a great environment. Snow was good, makes me want to try the poke and other offerings. Liked the variety and the toppings and service was quick and pleasant. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed.

If you’re looking for a place that is mindful of their ingredients, how they source them, and how healthy everything is, this is le place for you! The owners here are super passionate about everything they do! Don’t expect super sweet/overly syrup-y products though if you’re looking for that taste. Context: * First visit, I was brought in by the E-Foodie event and that’s where I met the awesome owners * Other visits are usually by myself, looking for juice or poke Food: * Taro/Ube Snow(E-Foodie): Akiko explained to us how all of the snow, like the taro and ube, they don’t use powder and actually use the taro/ube roots and grind it up to create the snow. The flavors aren’t super sweet, but it’s healthy and still delicious! * Poke: Again, don’t expect Chiptole style poke like all the stores around Fullerton. Their fish is fresh straight from down the street at the fish vendor Dry Fish Co., and nothing is frozen! The owner explained to me how frozen fish has carbon monoxide, where consuming this too much is bad for your health, hence they keep it local and fresh fish. I ordered the Salmon bowl, 2 scoops, substitute crab meat with seaweed salad. It was super delicious and had cucumbers, onions, white/brown rice in it! Even though I normally like the Chipotle style poke places, you can tell the quality of the fish is fresh and the sauce isn’t too empowering. * Neptune Juice(I think that’s what it’s called): Beet juice(first on the menu), along with other stuff like celery, carrot, etc. was super delicious! Environment: Good for small/semi-large groups and kids! Hawaiian island style feel from the random décor, haha. Service: I’ve only been served by the owners, and always strike up a good conversation with them. Again, super passionate owners once you start talking to them. They care about the quality of the ingredients. Overall: I need to come back here more! Can’t wait to try other stuff

I came here for Snow, and I got Snow. Not complaining. How can you criticize shaved ice? Plus you pick the toppings and stuff? Quick and easy. Plus, there are board games for entertainment. I’m not a huge fan of parking though

Good smoothies. Healthy but doesn’t taste like a health smoothie. Really good poke. Fresh and no very little waiting. Good prices and good service. Nice environment. Clean and convenient!

My friend at Disney recommended Cloud to me a few months ago. I had never heard of «snow» the dessert, but I am a believer now! One of the owners told me how much they test flavors and prepare concoctions, and I was definitely impressed. I find it on par with Haagen Dazs in terms of flavor — and what great topping choices!!! And the poke bowls — oh my lord. I’ve never had such delicious fish outside of Japan before!!! I would recommend this place to anyone!!! Try the Tokyo sauce with Tuna and Green mix or Brown rice. You won’t regret it if you like seafood!

Cute place… and the owner was very friendly and helpful. I got the chocolate thunder which was delicious, but I guess I’m more of a gelato, ice cream, Yogurtland kind of person. Still tho, I think I’ll be back here to try the ube flavor.

Best poke in Fullerton. Hands down. Ever since visiting Hawaii last year, my wife and I have been totally into poke, and the ones serve at Cloud is definitely the closest to what we’ve had in Hawaii. So far I’ve had the Tokyo and Kauai flavors. Personally, I like spicy stuff so I like Tokyo more than than Kauai, but I highly recommend both. There are 2 main things that make Cloud’s poke better than any other places near by: #1 They use fresh fish. Never frozen. I seriously think that makes all the difference in the texture and taste of the poke. Perhaps fresh fish keeps the natural oils, and flavors in the fish better frozen-thawed fish. #2 The seasoning is marinated with the fish, which is how most of the poke was served in Hawaii. I think that really helps the flavors come together. I’m not a huge fan of the made-to-order, Chipotle-style poke. I like that the folks at Cloud took their time to think through their flavors. Like other items in their menu, their care and attention detail in the flavors really show in the poke. Shaved snow is also good here, but with so many options now popping up around Fullerton, I thought it’d be best to give props to my favorite poke place in Fullerton that serve the freshest and best tasting poke on this side of the pacific(or at least in Fullerton).

I had their Strawberry Dream(?) snow creation and I am not kidding when I say that it is one of the best desserts I’ve had. The taste was incredibly fresh, and the care and attention to detail in the visual aspect was immediately noticeable. The lovely lady behind the counter has been nothing but helpful and kind. The best part is with the open layout you can see the craft she takes in making any dish. Provided board and card games to play in the very clean environment is just another plus to this location! Thank you so much! I’ll be coming back often!

Service plays a huge factor in any experience and when there’s poor service, you bet I’ll let everyone know. I came to Cloud with a few friends on a Friday night to grab shaved snow. This being our first time here, we ask the cashier/worker what he recommends. He’s too busy looking down doing his own thing to even look up and answer. Fine. We ask if we can sample any of the flavored snows since he couldn’t give us a recommendation and he says«only one». We each ask for different samples and EACH time, he literally rolls his eyes and commences with a prolonged«ookkkkk…» I’m not exaggerating. There was also an exchange of «wth» glances between him and a female worker in the back. HELLO — If you didn’t want to let us sample, either give us a good recommendation or say you don’t give out samples. DON’T you sass me — that was completely unappreciated. Now onto the actual shaved snow. I ordered the matcha shaved snow with mochi and condensed milk. The matcha snow tastes like artificial chapstick and had zero resemblance to matcha. The mochi was also rock hard and inedible. I had a few bites and had to throw out the rest. Side note: They charge $ 0.50 for any credit card orders under $ 5.00. Needless to say, my friends and I will not be coming back and I would not recommend Cloud to anyone who appreciates friendly people and decent shaved snow.

Before diving into my self indulgent musings, I must proclaim the peanut butter acai bowl here is a revelation. The texture is thick and velvety smooth. The flavor is beautifully balanced and not overly sweet. Sufficient granola is provided to offer a satisfying crunch to each spoonful without overwhelming the acai. The accompanying fruits, at the peak of freshness, are the perfect flavor complement. I want another one… Now. This is the part where I bore you and get long winded and philosophize about food, so feel free to stop reading and skim the next review. I moved to OC not long ago from the east coast and was intrigued by this acai bowl concept, since it’s not really a thing back east. It’s a health food? It’s a smoothie? It’s a bowl? They sell them at Rita’s? I was so confused. So I went to bonzai bowls and got one. I waited 40 minutes and paid 11 bucks. It was okay. The texture was a little gritty, really sweet, too much granola. I couldn’t finish the small. My confusion deepened. Then I went to a local juice chain and got one. It was tiny, tasted pretty bitter, and I felt they shorted me on toppings. Then I went to this really cute independent place in the OC mix and got one. It was pretty good, perhaps a bit runny, but still good. But I just didn’t get it. What is the obsession with these bowls? Then it was noon on an 80+ degree day and I arrived in Fullerton early for my meeting, a little hungry, in search of a quick refreshing lunch. So I sauntered into cloud shaved snow with every intention of grabbing a poke bowl. At the very last moment I made a game time decision to give these acai bowls one more shot to show me why they get so much love. ANDNOW I GETIT! I can’t speak for the snow. I can’t speak for the poke. I CAN tell you the blenderistas were warm, the sound track was rocking, the vibe was chill with reclaimed wood and faux retro metal furnishings. And I can tell you that acai bowl was sublime.

Clean spot for a fresh poke bowl! I get it, you drive by and see a smoothie/shaved ice bar that decided to add poke bowls as an afterthought… Questionable. BUT! Don’t judge too quick! Cloud’s family has been making poke for years. They decided to bring their home recipes to the shop! In addition, their fish is sushi grade fresh from Dry Dock, a local fish market! I got myself a tuna/salmon poke bowl with the California sauce! Perfect serving size and absolutely fresh fish accompanied by made from scratch sauce. Feeling a poke bowl? This is the spot!

Thanks to my Unilocal friend Akiko, I engaged in a piggish feast having a delightful strawberry shaved snow enjoying my favorite raspberry topping on a cold night. My eyes roamed the room seeking another specialty to devour and focused on a photo of «Strawberry Dreamin» which is amazingly astounding and surpassed my expectations. Ending the evening with a mixed berry smoothie for my ride home. Customer service was to perfection and don’t forget to leave a tip for the college fund.

Akiko is sweet… bold… subtle… like the snow… =P Came back and tried some more flavors. As a creature of habit, I don’t stray too far from what I like(i.e. green tea flavor w/red bean, condensed milk…) but I tried something different this time and went with flavors that I admit I’d almost never consider: «tea» set: Honey Lavender w/Aloe; Earl Grey w/Caramel Banana; Jasmine Green Tea; Rose Tea; «confection» set: Columbia Coffee; Sea Salt Coconut w/Caramel; Chocolate PB; Caramelized Banana; The second set had some really strong flavor profiles, especially when compared to the«tea» set flavors. I never would have expected shaved snow to have such really bold flavors but now it made me reconsider what was possible. Toppings add nuance in added taste and texture, but I was surprised by what I learned when I tried something a little bit outside of my box…

Nothing, I repeat, nothing is more refreshing and comforting on a hot day than a nice plate of shaved snow. And Cloud serves up some of the best and most original flavors around. I’m not one who goes for the typical flavors you find around. The flavors here are incredible. The first time we went, we left it in the capable hands of our server, with those exact instructions. Out came a concoction of honey lavender with aloe, salted caramel coconut, caramelized banana, and chocolate… that was nothing short of amazing. Had to return a week later for the honey lavender alone. Highly recommend. Ask for what special flavors may not be listed too, and do not be afraid to break new ground with your palate.

No, no, no. Cloud Shaved Snow(CSS) will never make it with the major leagues of Asian dessert shops. CSS is lucky that none of the major franchises such as Half and Half, Phoenix, Ten Ren’s Tea Time, or 85C Bakery are in the area. And yes, even a bakery makes better drinks. The only reason I can see why people gave this place a high rating is because it’s the only one of its kind available in the North OC area. We ordered the mango shaved snow with coconut mochi. The shaved snow was not flavorful. Though the owner mentioned that she uses natural ingredient only, I can’t help but feel like the flavor was very blend compared to Salju, Pa Pa Walk, Blockhead, and just about everywhere else I’ve been to. I usually don’t like super sugary drinks/dessert already but even for me, CSS’s shaved snow tasted blend and unmemorable. The mochi was chewy and actually tasted good… but not good enough to save the whole dessert. I also ordered a milk tea $ 3.25(boba is extra 50 cents so I didn’t get it). I can only describe the milk tea as disappointing. It tasted water down. There was no tea flavor at all. If Salju from Alhambra, Honeymee from Ktown, Blockhead from West LA, or any of the popular Asian dessert franchise were to move in, CSS will be decimated. I feel bad for people living in North OC. I hear that Cha2O down the block is much better but the line is longer. Save yourself some disappointments and go to Cha2O or anywhere else first.

Shave Snow! For starters. .I’m not a big snow person and I definately prefer the beach or ice cream:) Here, the snow is not like the spoon full of sugars and chemicals you get at the cheapy places. Here, you get a nice and refreshing dessert that doesn’t make you feel overly full. The flavors are natural and not the syrup or powdered flavors full of chemicals. ~Menu and Choices The menu board boasts several options but the hand crafted combinations seem to be the best route to go. ~Ambiance I love the shop itself. It’s spacious and open. It is the perfect place to sit and chat, work or surf the net. Plenty of room here and I love the variety of music… especially the occasional Stones song. I would love the same quality of the flavors put into a coffee and espresso to accompany the dessert. A nice quality espresso would be ideal… but this is just for my tastes. Snow and a good espresso would be like Christmas to me:) I am a fan of this shop!

4.10011601140418050048 Stars If it is shaved, I will eat it. I tried 4 different items, 1 serving of the chocolate thunder and a sample of Mango, Lychee and Lavender. Chocolate Thunder had a creamy texture, very light. The fruit loops gave balance and the surrounding toppings added sweetness including the banana. A very sweet yet fresh banana, cool and balanced. Mango was heavenly. Lychee was pretty good, but I am not a huge lychee fan, just yet, still a beginning-lychee-er Honey Lavender was solid, but I am not a lavender fan myself. Store was very clean, cool, shaded area. Very humble and inviting brown décor with art on the walls. Service was amazing, 1,000 stars for the service, I was a satisfied customer.
