Berger Transfer & Storage, Inc. – An Agent Of Allied Van Lines

We chose Allied-​Berger due to their national brand and thinking they would be the best option over smaller companies who may not do things properly during the moving process. Additionally, we liked the sales rep Tony. The problem was, we did not receive the service that Tony sold to us. We have moved a lot the past 12 years, more than I want to admit, but I have never seen such poor treatment of personal property, along with a lack of transparency and description of items. If you use them, which I would advise not to, you better be all over them on the itemized list during loading and unloading and be sure they pack things safely. We had insurance with them and over $ 3K in damages in August and have just now received our «settlement» of less than $ 2K. They also came to our house with a truck that did not have enough room for our belonging, even though our load was lighter than estimated. Therefore they had to put our belongings on a second truck, which was delivered a week later than our first shipment. Honestly, the experience couldn’t have been worse. I would move with someone else.
