We were there 2 nights ago. Waited forever to sit because they were understaffed, and I’m not normally a patient person… BUT It would take A LOT for me to ever give this place less than 5 stars due to it’s uniqueness, wonderful food and charm. Places like this are truly a dying breed and they’ll never be able to duplicate something like this. The kitchy, wonderful décor, the cheezy(yet still spooky) «monsters in the basement»… the to-die-for old building with all of it’s nooks and crannies. When I go exploring here it always feels like I’m going to discover some secret passage way that takes me to some underground speak-easy or seedy hidden underground world. I love places that feel mysterious and this place always does that for me. So you can take forever to seat me or overcharge me or do whatever you want to make my experience less than stellar here Angelo and Vinci’s, but I will always love you no matter what! You are unique and wonderful and I will never stop coming here! Angelo and Vinci’s forever!

Do not recommend. I waited for my seat for 40 minutes and it took another 40 minutes for the food to come out. The food was not tasty and the service was not great. Will not come back.

My family and I called ahead to ask how long the wait would be for a party of four. We were told it would be about ten minutes; however, when we arrived we were told the wait was thirty minutes. Once we were seated our waiter came to ask what we wanted to drink and to take our orders. The food took about twenty minutes to come out. My dad’s pasta dish was undercooked(the pasta tasted doughy). The food was okay. The décor was interesting and gave off a creepy, haunted vibe. We will not be coming back.

I had my daughters baptism lunch here for 50 people. The place inside looked beautiful as always, staff was very helpful and friendly. Food came out on time as planned and was delicious. My guests and I were very happy with everything. I would reccomend this restaurant for big and small events. Will be back again of course.

I just want to say how Rockin awesome our wedding reception was, here at Angelo’s and Vinci’s! My hubby and I, and all our friends and family had THE best times of our lives. If you want an awesome banquet hall, catered with THEBOMB food, especially for a wedding, this is the place to go! It was so romantic and our party was something that we will never forget! The deejay was great and The hostess and hosts were amazing! They were very organized and made our night very special. If you are a bride, considering a place to have your wedding or reception or both, Angelo’s and Vinci’s is the place to go! Hands down, this is the best! We had a blast! Ask for Sherry. Sherry is an amazing person and so much fun to plan your wedding or event with :)

Great food. Our server was fun and did a great job. Pasta was excellent, the pesto cream sauce was very good. The calzones are enormous and packed with pasta! Wanted dessert but didn’t have room!

Nothing horrible to say about the food or service, but I will not be back. On Sunday’s they offer 2 options to eat, Pizza or their buffet. We opted for the buffet($ 17/each) and it was just meh. They offered 2 kinds of chicken(chicken cacciatore and something else), eggplant parm, manicotti, lasagna, spaghetti, fettuccini Alfredo, eggs and ham, sausage and peppers, salad and soup, and a small dessert table. It’s a decent amount of decent food… Just nothing to make me want to go back. Chicken cacciatore and the manicotti were the best things for me. I also tried the eggplant parm and Alfredo, the eggplant was just ok, the Alfredo tasted like pasta roni to me. Bland and boring. It looks like based on the reviews, the pizza was the better of the options. I think maybe if we were able to order off the full menu, my experience would have been better. The service was attentive, so nothing bad to report there. The décor in the restaurant though… What the heck? I’m really not sure what was going on in their heads when they decorated. It’s unfortunate too, because the restaurant has a huge banquet area attached and has a lot of potential. I guess an old actor and his family owned this, so maybe with his theatrical mindset he thought these decorations were fun or cool… But it’s just weird to me. Maybe I just don’t get it. If you get anxious with a lot of clutter, you will likely hate it here. Take a walk downstairs to the«cellar» for a completely random and bizarre«monsters museum» which has random mannequin body parts hanging from the ceiling and a fake gorilla and other random things in cages… Even Luigi was in a cage.

WOOF! The food here is unbearably bad. They haven’t dusted the establishment since it opened probably. I straight up am scared to order food with parmesan cheese because I am not sure if it dust from the tacky«fun» decorations, or the ashes from the urns of patrons that have died while eating this muck-ass dogshit. One saving grace about this place is that it’s «famous» for being haunted… If you’re brave enough, take a stroll through their Spööky dungeon. It’s haunted by a gorilla, psychedelic glow-in-the-dark posters from the 70’s, and bad taste! I appreciate people who are passionate and care about every detail and the overall aesthetic to create an incredible and memorable experience. The management makes sure the dishwashers carry dripping dishes through the«wine cellar/dungeon» to ensure mold is prevalent and emits a musk reminiscent of a port-a-potty. Fuck, I LOVE this place. I’m almost scared to post this review, because the only things that’s kept this place from closing down is the mafia probably owns it; I swear the health department would have a field day with this joint. I’m throwing this place 2 stars though cause TBH the Italian donuts are fkn BOMB.COM.

I was pretty let down by this place. We went in a large group for brunch including«bottomless champagne.» But it really wasn’t too bottomless. The waitress was awesome for the first maybe three glasses each, and then after that she really slowed down, and we kept having to send someone over to ask her to give more. I get it, their price is $ 16.95, but come on. Just charge more or don’t call it bottomless. Even if it said all you can eat brunch and 3 glasses of champagne, I would have thought that was a great deal, but the fact that it’s advertised as bottomless made it a huge letdown. Also, Italian food as brunch is a little weird. Their food was actually pretty good, but it was my first meal of the day and that felt weird. I would maybe consider returning here some time for dinner, though I rarely go out for Italian food, but absolutely will not return for the champagne brunch. Would way rather pay an extra $ 10 and go somewhere where it’s actually bottomless.

We came here for an impromptu friends dinner recently. The most eye catching part of the restaurant is the ambiance/décor! It’s definitely the first thing you’ll notice upon opening their doors. The wine list was decent — we tried a Pinot Noir that wasn’t very great and opted to order a couple bottles of the Malbec for the table. The bar was pretty packed with people, and the private dining room looked to be occupied for a private party. The food here was scrumptious! At least for me anyways. I order the Romeo & Juliet with pink sauce and added spicy red pepper and chopped onions to my dish. It was so good, it was hard not to lick my plate clean. The tortellini was fresh and had great texture, but my favorite was the half moon pasta with a nice surprise taste of raisins in every bite. YUM! I probably would have found that weird if I paid closer attention to the menu, but I’m so glad I ordered this dish! It was huge hit by many people at the table. Over the service was friendly, nice and prompt. We never felt like we were left hanging, nor did it feel like someone was always in my space. I really enjoyed coming here for dinner and will certainly be back again soon!

I used to come here often when I lived closer to the area. The high Unilocal reviews were what initially brought me to this Italian joint. I can see that over the years, the restaurants star rating has declined, and I’m not sure if there have been any changes lately, but this review is from what I remember: This restaurant is located in downtown Fullerton(or on the edge of), fairly close to Fullerton College. They have a large parking lot and additional places to park across the street, so parking was never an issue. Some say the restaurant is beautiful and interesting– I would say it is a bit old, creepy, yet interesting. But I also understand that that’s the theme they were striving for, which makes it a little better. If you’re looking for a place where you can have a romantic date night – this is NOT the place. However, if you want a place with good and affordable food, whether its with a friend, a s.o., or a group of people, this place would be a good choice! I actually had my graduation lunch here for my group of 20! Service is okay at best, but wouldn’t really expect any better. Good food OK service Would return!

I couldn’t believe this rare gem existed right around the corner where I live. What a beautiful restaurant! It was whimsical with venician masks, Sicilian puppets and everything an Italian town market décor has. I had a dinner date with my husband on my birthday, since we wanted to try something different(in terms of ambience and décor) we decided to give this place a shot. It turned out to be magical with soulful opera music playing in the background. So, we ordered minestrone soup and lasagna Angelo’s. The soup had a hint of carom seeds which we loved. It was delicious and piping hot. They served fresh bread with some butter before hand(good sign that we were in a nice restaurant). The large portion size Lasagna was yummy! Even though, we ordered one plate, it was enough for both of us, plus leftover to take home. We also ordered some desert, given it was my birthday. The waiter with a kind face and an extremely gentle demeanor(no kidding!) served us Tiramisu, with a small candle lit on it. Loved it. I wanted to try some Irish coffee but was full, will try another time. I will definitely come here again. Another good thing is that they have ample parking, quiet a relief. Thumbs up for yummy food and good service!

The food is always great! I had the tortellini in a pesto cream sauce on the server’s recommendation today and it did not disappoint. The chicken parmigiana has also been a favorite of mine here. The chicken soup is a tad small compared to other restaurants, but the taste is great. The bread that comes out almost as soon as you sit down, is brilliant! Entrée portions are pretty big, in keeping with most Italian restaurants. The ambiance is the one thing that bugs me. It’s just way too busy. It’s a sensory overload. PS: if you’re getting the salad, get the Italian dressing.

Nothing will ever compare to the pizza here. I live in HB now so I dint get to end up getting as often as I would like, but I grew up in Placentia so being that I’m not around the corner anymore, I try to stop in as often as possible. Great environment, great drinks, EPICITALIANFOOD and great service!

Neanderthal been come to Anchovi and Vinchi since what seem like the stone age. first real date neanderthal ever take cave wife on was to here. try so many different thing on menu over the years, and never dislike a single thing. that is more crazy than velociraptor hopped up on red bull if you consider how many time neanderthal been here. also, price are so good for amount of food to get. most dish in price range of like $ 13 – 17 or so, and big enough to split between two, or have leftover for lunch next day. they have coolest decorate everywhere. can just sit and look at all thing thing on the walls and ceiling and everywhere and just get lost in cool history and culture no matter where you seated. also, really like service here. most reeses visit was this past weekend on a saturday night in peak dinner time. ~~~ one kwik thing about neanderthal: he not used to crowds. mesopo-town-ia he come from only have populayshun of about 25 human in close vicinity. so sometime when go to restrunt, not like to sit in area where so many people surround him. make feel ankshus and colastraphobick. ~~~ So when notice that restrunt pretty crowd on sat night, ask host if maybe neanderthal and cavewife can sit upstairs instead because not like crowd. host say at first, «sorry, upstair only for a big dinner party who had restervayshun.» neanderthal think, «damn. oh well, will make most of it still.» But then host say, «hang on, let me see if i find somewhere not so crowd for you.» that alone make neanderthal happy. most host have attitude of, «whatever, you sit here and you like it *maniacal cackle*» But then host come back and actually end up seating neanderthal and cavewife on upstairs in small table along railing with no one else nearby! so peaceful and roomy and rumantic. it set tone for rest of night if know what I mean… and became another tally mark for how many time neanderthal love anchovi and vinchi. after eat, go to basement as alway. arcade games no longer down there. but still have decoration and overall creepy vibe. neanderthal wonder if restrunt haunted. it seem like it would be. so cool. thank you anchovi, thank you vinchi. neanderthal always love you.

I grew up in Fullerton and this was always our family favorite ! Sadly I’ve moved away, but I was in town visiting, and took my aunt out for her birthday. Food was great ! I had a seafood pasta with clams, mussels, and calamari. It tasted amazing and very fresh. My aunt in her old age has become picky but she loved her pizza ! our waiter was Justin and he did a great job ! He was very nice and attentive, and it was his first week ! He does way better then a lot of servers I know. Thank you for a great night!

One of the best Italian places to eat anywhere. The décor is very old and shows the restaurant and family history. If it is your first time here, make sure to get a pizza.

I’ve been here a few times over the years and the quality has always been dependable. My go to dish here is the Mezzaluna(half moon raviolis filled with ricotta, spinach, garlic, pine nuts and golden raisins) with the Alfredo sauce. It’s so yummy and satisfying when you need a home made Italian fix. You can tell this place puts a lot of pride into making tasty & comforting Italian dishes. If consuming as many carbs as possible is your goal, this is where you need to be! When you sit down, you’re served a few rolls made from their pizza dough and they are very filling. I would save them for a to-go box! Last night I ordered the cannelloni for the first time and I am definitely adding it to my list of go to orders! Overall a really nice dining experience, interesting old school décor and a comfortable atmosphere.

Came here for a post-graduation celebratory luncheon. The party was held in a private banquet room, just outside the main restaurant. We grubbed on onion ring appetizers, spaghetti, salad, garlic bread and PIZZA. The service was professional and on point. Due to my strict diet for my upcoming fight, they prepared a special steamed veggie plate. As soon as I can truly experience this establishment(I wasn’t able to eat the pizza which is what this place is known for), I will update the review. The marinara sauce is flavorful and fresh! I’m looking forward to coming back here so I can actually grub on the pizza which everyone at the party said was delicious.
