Walked in asked for a booth. Was told ‘that ain’t going to happen’. Totally unprofessional! As we starting walking to our table there were 6 booths opened. Needless to say we got a booth. Now for food. We ordered breakfast. Asked for tomato juice — got orange juice. Ordered sausage biscuits and gravy — got chicken. Hash browns over cooked. Omelette not hot. Thumbs down.

I’ve always enjoyed Perkins but lately it seems like they’re lacking. they’re never organized during breakfast rushes and today I went in just to get a few slices of pie. spent 10 minutes waiting in a small crowded room and ended up getting the wrong kind of pie! disappointing and they almost forgot to charge me until I reminded them. convenient location but next time I’ll just drive the extra 10 minutes to the other Perkins

I had a terrible experience here and it was all because of the server Deborah. I read another review where it was stated she cursed this place is «effin»(but this very low class server said the f word. crazy in front of the diners 3 year old child and she also said it in front of my dining companion and me as well. She was rude, obnoxious and abrasive. If she dislikes her job so much she should find employment elsewhere. She certainly isn’t doing Perkins any favors except sending customers over to the Sunflower Café. My toast came out as bread. I asked if it could be toasted she got an attitude with me took it back and brought it back out burnt. She made my experience terrible sorry I went in there and bothered her. Don’t worry Deborah I won’t be back.

This location is in desperate need of a remodel. It’s dingy and dark. It’s also infested with bugs. The host, who also seemed to be a manager, and a server? Slyly tried to scrape a large bug off our table as we were being seated using one of the table tent advertisements. The food is mediocre for the most part, but it’s Perkins, so it met my expectations. The bad part was that my friend across from me got a cinnamon roll for his birthday, complete with an ant crawling on top. The service can be fragmented and incompetent at times, though very friendly. My family and I will make it a point to avoid this location, and unless you enjoy eating insects, I would advise you do the same.

My wife and I left the beach in search of a cheap breakfast. It didn’t work. Stick with the island breakfasts. Same price but better coffee. Omelette was good. No complaints.

Waitress was good. Food was decent place was dirty… And it was very hard to get in and out if they are doing construction. Of all the places we passed I wish we wouldn’t have stopped there:(. Thought prices would be cheaper but they were the same as we have been paying.

As much as Perkins are consistently in the middle we walked into this one and knew we were out for a more than usual BADEXPERIENCE! The smell reeked of stale and stuffy! I hate to imagine what was causing the problem. After waiting several minutes for even a sign of an employee, we left! If they don’t clean this place up it will never make it with the new Walmart Going in! Only one in the area so please get this to Management!

This Perkins has decent food & a clean restaurant. The problem is the service. Three times we have left: twice after 10 minutes because no one showed up to take our order and once after we placed our drink order no-one had came back. We waited 15+ mins before leaving. On the second occassion we actually got to eat a female employee was at the hostess stand being rude as we left. Now we go to the Sunflower, a local joint, next door. Everything is wonderful and service is excellent! #‘s don’t lie, at breakfast and lunch their parking lot is overflowing and there’s a wait, so get there early. The Perkins lot is never over ½, this really tells a consumuer something. FYI: THE Perkins MUFFINSAREDELICIOUS. I stop by and get a few to take home for breakfast every once-n-awhile. BTW: The best Perkins INSW Florida is at 41& Bonita Beach Rd. Great food & Great service.

The food is what you expect at a Perkins. Their bakery is very good. Love their pies. Have yet to get a bad one. As others have mentioned, their service is a bit slow. We have a certain lady we love there who works very hard and I would tell you who she is but then she will be too popular to be there for us! ;-)

Service was good, waiter was friendly, food came quick and overall the taste of the food was great. The pancakes were delicious, the coffee was very good and the quality was good. I certainly recommend this place for a quick breakfast :)

Awesome entrée with a side, drink & dessert for $ 11.99 special. Unfortunately, Chicken & Shrimp dish just replaced with new menu, but others look really good.

HORRIDSERVICE!!! After grabbing a quick dinner here on our way into town for the winter, we were pleasantly surprised by a lovely meal and excellent service. ONCE. At our next visit a week later, we had the most HORRID service I think I have ever had. The server, Deborah, was visibly irritated and annoyed and was rushing everyone at every table. She barely let the guests behind us get their words out before she was at our table rushing us. This went on the WHOLE time. And it happened to everyone around us! As she walked off the first time, she muttered, «Crazy f-ing night!» Right in front of my 3-yr old. And it wasn’t crazy! We were the only people in the room under 60(hey, it was early and we ARE in FL! =D) and she had a total of 5 or 6 tables. I mean, REALLY. Her attitude the entire time was AWFUL. She made NO effort to keep her personal feelings/issues to herself. She and the hostess(Sarah — who is an issue herself; VERY brusque and COMPLETELY unfriendly; reminds me of the mean East German-looking woman in Matilda!) got into an argument standing AT our table! I was utterly APPALLED. Even my daughter asked what was going on. After our orders were taken, Deborah disappeared. I had an empty drink glass sit there for 10 minutes or more. She reappeared when she brought our food and we didn’t see her again until I flagged her down for our check. She left it, and I noted that it included one of those survey things. I don’t usually do those, but I was sure going to do this one! Well, when I took it up to pay, and was«greeted» by a guy I THINK might be the manager, Dennis, he asked me NOTHING about my meal, and took the receipt with the survey info on it. He rushed me away after I paid, and I was almost in the car before I realized I now had NO receipt. I went back in and no one was at the checkout so I stated nicely that I needed my receipt. He looked at me with a sneer and kind of shrugged as though I was an idiot and said, «And??» I was FLOORED. I stated, «It was $ 17.35, I paid cash — I literally JUST paid — and the server was Deborah.» He sighed — no, HUFFED — and pulled it up and printed it out. It was simply a closed check reprint with no survey information. I asked about my original receipt and he said, «Oh, well,» and WALKEDAWAY. I am pretty sure my eyeballs bugged out a bit. But oh, well is right — I left without leaving a tip and we will NOT eat there again. It’s a shame, really, because my daughter absolutely LOVES it and the location is super convenient for us. I was absolutely DISGUSTED by how we — and the other guests — were treated. These people need some SERIOUS attitude adjustments and a major reminder that their CUSTOMERS pay their checks. FURIOUS. I would give it less than one star if I could.

Not a good experience. We were seated near the doorway to the restroom and the whole time I could not get over the Urine smell– it was so strong. Poor service and understaffed– waitress was not around to take our drink orders, never checked on us once we got our food, took 45 minutes to get our food(a salad and some pancakes), and then took a long time to get our check after we were done eating since our waitress was hardly ever seen. Hostess tried to help out but was also eating a meal at the same time at a table in the dining room. We visited about 8:20 on a Friday night. We live out of town and were visiting for vacation. I have eaten at several Perkins in the past but am glad I do not live near this one. Go down the road to Denny’s. Also, they recently made a $ 4-$ 8 menu, which drastically reduced their breakfast options on the regular menu.

Sure, I don’t expect much from a chain restaurant of this caliber. I’m not going to rip on Perkins because they do serve a purpose, but there are plenty of restaurants with better food at similar prices. I much prefer when places specialize rather than try to appeal to everyone. Mass appeal results in a dilution of the product. Perkins is set up for older folks or families with kids who want a night off from cooking.

Hard to go wrong with Perkins. I had the classic egg entrée, w/bacon, scrambled eggs, hash browns and pancakes. It’s pretty hard for a restaurant to differentiate based on the first three of these items. However, Perkins’ pancakes are absolutely awesome. Slather on some whipped butter, drench the stack in twinberry syrup and you, my friend, are tucking into a forkful of flapjack heaven. Oh, I should mention that it’s possible to order a beer with breakfast here. I didn’t do that myself, but the guy at the table next to us told the waitress«I’ll have a coffee and a Bud Light», which she promptly brought. Something to keep in mind for next time.

Perkins is pretty much a solid descision for breakfast. The wait staff was extremely nice and was very kind to our daughter. The food was good. The elderly customers on the other hand, would much rather you not be there. They were not friendly towards our daughter at all; but I guess I would be pissed if I was as old as them too…(that’s not your fault Perkins)
