Better than The Villages or Orlando for breakfast or lunch ! Friendly courteous service, — Great consistent delicious food. This is one of the best kept secrets in Central Florida. This is above and beyond what the chicken had planed for her eggs. Hearty or light Rae Rae’s is a real home cooked style eatery that will delight.

I am a self-proclaimed foodie & have found almost no places that I truly enjoy locally. If I want a good meal I drive to Orlando. So I was pleasantly surprised when I tried Rae Rae’s. Pancakes that taste like funnel cakes, very tasty, well-done home fries, great biscuits I couldn’t put down, and friendly, helpful service on top of it. Looking forward to going back.

Nice, clean breakfast/lunch café. It will take 15 minutes to read the menu! Good menu variety with some unique dishes. I had the Harlow(second photo), which is their take on an eggs benedict kind-of meal. Good biscuits. First photo was my wife’s Pork Tenderloin sandwich, it was really good!

We drove there today for breakfast & found the place to be closed. The hours need to be updated on several websites since the hours are staring it is open on Mondays! Quite an inconvenience…

First visit and it was AWESOME!!! Had breakfast… potatoes are to die for as is the biscuits and gravy, and the smoked link sausage. The orange cranberry biscuit can’t be beat… anywhere! Come once and it will be your go to spot, it is ours.

I had the seasoned and grilled catfish with two eggs over medium, potatoes, a blueberry biscuit and coffee. It was all delicious. Well worth the short wait for both the table and food. Arrive with patience. This is a tiny joint with a hard working staff. I was visiting friends in the villages from boynton beach fl. Will be back next time!

The potatoes were very good and the blueberry biscuits were amazing. The biscuits and gravy with the original biscuits do not compare to the blueberry biscuits!

This place as well as Trip Advisor give high marks for this place. If I am rating the ambience of the place as well as the friendliness of the server and manager, I’ll give it 5 stars. Either we missed out on the dishes or that many reviewers haven’t had good breakfast. I am not saying it’s bad but can’t seem to find out why the dishes are special. Briar Patch in Winter Park is more expensive but they give all out on the food. IHOP as a chain serves pretty good breakfast at a very reasonable price. Except for the cute names they give for the dishes, I have difficulty why we should return for breakfast.

We saw the reviews on Unilocal and decided to go out of our way to eat here. They have excellent biscuits and gravy. Everything is made from scratch. Don’t be in a big hurry — they are very friendly and refill the coffee a lot! Would highly recommend. Hard to find non– chain breakfast places in FL and this one was worth the effort to get there.

Pan sausage gravy with square biscuits — a must for every table. Great omelets too! Easily one of the best breakfast spots near the Villages

My bride and I heard about Rae Rae’s through Talk of the Villages web site. Tim and Christine(proprietors) were warm and attentive. Rae Rae’s has been in their hands for just over a month. Regular customers provided pleasant company. The interior décor-simple and clean. Since it was our first visit, I asked Tim to serve me something he as proud of. I was treated to the«B Man», consisting of: Home made corned beef and hash, two eggs, home style potatoes(herb flavor) and a unique looking square biscuit that was airy, crunchy and delicious. My better half chose the Swissy Krissy omelette that Tim kindly modified from Swiss to white cheddar cheese. Both entrees were bountiful and served quickly to our table. We requested a side of the sausage gravy with our meal. The gravy was flavorful and clearly filled with savory sausage bits. I guzzled cup after cup of joe while the Mrs. enjoyed fresh brewed iced tea. Despite a hearty helping of the entrée, we couldn’t leave without ordering a pancake.(yeah, I have issues) The pancake was large enough for a family of pygmies to take shelter underneath yet fluffy, crispy-edged and gone in a flash… Boy howdy. In a nutshell: Positive attitudes, clean establishment, good eats and no buyers remorse with the bill. A soon to be favorite. Only time will tell.

We have been to this place several times since we moved to The Villages. It is by far the best place for breakfast in this area(we have not tried lunch yet). Everything is made fresh(if it comes out of a can, we don’t serve it!!) The husband runs the front of the house, while the wife cooks. Service is very friendly and good. Homemade corn beef hash; bacon is fantastic; eggs are perfect; real maple syrup; homemade muffins; to die for home fries… you get the picture! If you like a great breakfast… THISPLACEROCKS!!!

I live in The Villages and heard of this place on our community website where everyone was raving about it. Everything is fresh and you can really taste it. The staff and owner are super friendly and will know your name by the third time you visit. I highly recommend them!

Great, fresh, real home made food. The biscuits are light, moist and toasted on the flat top. Chicken and waffles were great, never had it done with wings before. The big breakfasts are huge, I took some home in a box. Husband had biscuits and sausage gravy, with poached eggs, toast and grits; he did not eat lunch that day! When we get back to FL, I hope to try their lunch menu.

oh my god this place is wonderful this is a breakfast/lunch place with great southern food I had the catfish and grits which came with eggs and biscuits not sure how they seasoned the catfish but it was some of the best catfish I have ever had the grits gave me new appreciation for that southern staple, creamy, buttery… mmm the biscuits were light and fluffy and they came toasted/griddled(cut in half and toasted on the grill with butter… mmm…butter — makes everything better) unfortunately we found this place on my last day in town for a while but when I do come back I am gonna make this one of my first stops for food and Rae and the Mama Hen should be proud

I had the Swissy Krissy Omelet(swiss cheese, chicken, spinach, mushrooms and tomatoes); it was huge and soooo good. Their big, square biscuits are made from scratch and they are perfect. The breakfast potatoes are great too. It’s cute and cozy inside with some great old Florida art on the walls. It was fun just to walk around and look at the photos. Service and food were awesome.
