My family and friends ended up at Brick Top’s after our reservation fell through at another establishment. We were very warmly welcomed, and room was made for us on the patio so that our dogs could join us. The wait staff were very friendly. The food was delicious. The mimosas were fantastic. All in all, we had a great experience.

My husband and I used to go here frequently for lunch on the weekends and enjoyed it. However the management and/or service staff have obviously changed! The last time we went the waitress was extremely rude, interrupting our conversation 3 times. When I asked her politely not to do so in the future, she became incredibly belligerent and nasty. This was the worst experience I have had in a restaurant EVER. I called the manager later to discuss the situation and he supported the waitress’s behavior 100%. I guess this type of customer service is perfectly acceptable at Bricktops. We will not be returning.

I love this place! The ambiance is really nice and the best thing about Bricktops is the food and the drinks are good everytime. Very consistent. Service is also very good.

Really great food, service and prices for brunch! Mimosa bar for $ 7 where you can make your own drinks with different types of champagne and juices. We ordered different types of Eggs Benedict and each tasted great and was on our table within minutes. Just as good, if not better, than overpriced brunch restaurants in Los Angeles.

We stopped in for a late lunch and the restaurant was nearly empty. Our server arrived just after we were seated and took our drink orders. We couldn’t decide so they returned two more times. We decided on the fish tacos and bacon cheeseburger. Yummy. Yes, the skinny fries were seasoned perfectly. The slaw and guacamole condiments compliment the blackened magi perfectly. The bacon cheeseburger was cooked to perfection. No complaints on the food. What I did find abhorrent was the«bill tray» which had a large gob of hardened stuff, possibly wax. Seriously, out of the six tables of patrons, you couldn’t provide a clean bill tray? I took a picture. Do me a favor, clean the trays too.

This restaurant is located near so many great restaurants. Lately we only stop here to avoid the lines sometimes at the others. This restaurant has been in St. Louis for about four years. They opened with a bang; great food and drink and even better customer service. Everything went smoothly for a few months because they were the new kid on the block. The atmosphere became popular and tolerable and the teens liked to celebrate their family birthdays there. The past few months it seems there has been a change in management and staff. Those familiar faces who were pretty good disappeared and the replacements walk around like stepford wives ignoring customer requests and bordering on rude. Same experience the last three visits in a two month period. Also the quality of the food has declined along with the service. Out of towners looking for a great meal in the area and customer service should look at several other restaurants in the area. Topping the list are Fleming’s, Cardwell’s, Canyon Café and Brio, all on the same parking lot. Across the street there is Schneidhorst’s, Sugo’s and Via Vino. Agree with Jonathon H. review 04⁄20. The food isn’t bad but you just hate to pay for bad service. All of the aforementioned restaurants hire staffers who actually like people. Mangia Bene!

This is a very good spot for business lunches when you don’t want to go into Clayton. The food is good and the services is very efficient.

Once we were seated I realized it was so loud I was not going to be able to enjoy myself. I have always loved this place but they really need to figure out a way to get the noise level under control. We ended up going somewhere else, which is a shame… I usually love this place but no so much

I stumbled upon Brick Top’s while driving down Clayton Rd. yesterday. I had no prior knowledge of it or what to expect. I really liked the atmosphere. It seems like an upscale, elevated, casual chain restaurant. It’s very clean, streamlined and modern in its décor. They have a large bar with multiple TVs around it showing different sports, but it is most definitely not a sports bar. The menu has a large variety of options ranging from burgers and BBQ ribs, to seafood and sushi. I normally am skeptical of trying sushi at non-sushi American restaurants but I decided to take a chance and I got the the Shangri La sushi roll. It was really good! I was pleased. That roll was $ 14 so not the cheapest dining experience. I refuse to pay $ 12 for a California Roll though(and yes, that’s how much Brick Top’s Cali is). The burger was $ 14 and was one of the cheaper menu options. The entire menu ranges between $ 14 to $ 20 for entrees, and appetizers are priced between about $ 8 to $ 14. I recommend Brick Top’s for anyone wanting a slightly upscale restaurant that’s still casual, that offers a variety of choices on the menu that everyone will enjoy.

Good food. Shame that it took almost an hour to order our meal and another 30 minutes to pick up our checks.

I was at BrickTop’s on a Friday night with a party of 6 and they were super busy. I ordered the Palm Beach Salad(lump crabmeat, poached shrimp, remoulade, avocado, tomato, chopped egg) which I had never ordered before. It turned out to be plated vertically. There was a layer of guacamole, then the crabmeat that was in white mayonnaise and not a remoulade, then chopped tomatoes, then the shrimp, and then the egg. The plate was garnished with some micro greens and halved cherry tomatoes. It was OK. There was basically no discernible flavor and certainly no texture here. When you order a $ 20 salad you want it to stand out but it didn’t. Other orders at the table included the fish tacos which are always good, the roast beef sandwich, a burger, etc. The service was fine. We got 2 of the chocolate chip cookies in the skillet with ice cream on top. They were good but not outstanding. I have been here numerous times and I always feel that it’s good and fine but nothing blows me away. Also I’m not clamoring to «be seen» here as many of the other patrons are.

BrickTops, more like Sh*tTops. Overpriced cylindrical salads and a very pushy waitstaff that was more concerned about turning over a table rather than taking care of those occupying it… No thanks, I’ll pass on this one.

Great food. Great service. Reasonable prices. Did I mention it’s so loud you can’t hold a conversation if your table in the middle.

My girlfriend and I went for lunch July 30. Her suggestion. We sat at a booth in the bar. Quite close to the restroom. Kinda a plus. We both got the prime sirloin meatloaf, which comes with fries. I should have asked for broccoli. Fries only last for — you eat four or five, and then you’re done. They were fine. Shoestring-style. The meatloaf was incredibly rich. It was a mound — not a loaf. And covered with ketchup. I was not blown away with this meatloaf. For one, it was too rich. I took three bites and was done. For two, the overwhelming ketchup was waaaay too much. Leftovers were better, ’cause I added A-1.

I used to come here all the time for brunch and can now only make if for lunch meetings but it was fabulous. Came in tonight for happy hour and what would have been dinner. Had to switch tables due to noise(not their fault). Our waitress walked up, seeing we had paid cash, and said«are we good here?» I believe the appropriate response is would you like change or can I do anything to make your experience better(since we were moving tables). Sat down at a new table and had to chase down a server. Finally ordered sushi…4 types and they just dropped them down on the table. No clearing. No explanation. Truly disappointed. Won’t be coming back.

Went tonight for business dinner & I must say definitely 5 stars on food! The actual seating and accommodations for bigger parties made me go down ½ a star. We started with devil eggs & bacon something I would normally not order but it was amazing especially with the bacon. Then the house wedge salad was delicious to end with the Sea Bass. The Bass was crusted & ex exceptional flavor! Best Seafood since NE in such a LONG time! The others plates looked amazing as well… Filet Maginot, Rib Eye… yum!!! Big huge recommendation. Service was good, only downfall was we went from 6 – 8 and given a table for 4. The wine also could have an improvement.

We wanted to have dinner on a patio and this place has very nice covered patio. They have a nice plastic window that keep the noise down and heaters in the ceiling. Cloth tablecloths are very nice, but they put white paper over the table of them and the paper is clammed to the table… I was waiting for the waiter to bring us some colors. The wine menu was decent, no Moscato but my friend had a nice Zinfandel. Since I just got back from Florida I was not in the mood for seafood. I had the chicken breast, it was served sliced with a nice light wine sauce. I asked for the vegetables of the day, it was a mixture of carrots, kale, parsley, and onions, interesting but tasty. The interesting part was my friend ordered meatloaf and mashed potatoes. Lets just say I wished I had ordered his dinner. We did share a slice of key lime pie, very limey(if that is a word) Nice place.

The good… Very classy, dimly lit, richly appointed décor has been assembled to greet the hungry patron and transform their dining experience into a night at the BBQ grill with friends and family. Bricktop is divided into bar, right side, traditional dining, left side… go right… they have a wonderful patio that only adds to the atmosphere… Food was good, but a bit expensive… I was in the mood for a burger, nicely done, with LTO and a bun that held everything together. I have a pet peeve, when a burger looks good, but won’t stay together after the 3rd or 4th bite. This one worked on many levels. Wife had sushi and stir fry veggies… she said it was good… son #1 had burger, which he said his burger tasted like steak and shake. Guess I could have saved $ 100, and did the steak and shake thing, nah. Son #2, chicken tenders, he gave them 5 stars… good meal… The bad… the ugly… Service…you would think a place like this, would have top notch service, but we were met with a knowledgable, but rude and inattentive server. He introduced himself, and proceeded to say…“drinks???” Very rude. I will say, he knew the menu, but then took our order, someone else dropped our food, and then we were presented with the bill… never checking on us once… Probably won’t go back, as it’s strange how service can leave a bad taste in your mouth, even though it’s not part of the food. Nonetheless, always glad to try another new place… and Unilocal about it…

BrickTop’s is a great restaurant in Frontenac and the prices are a dead giveaway of your location. Went here for lunch for work and really couldn’t decide if I should just ask for a cheap caesar salad that wasn’t on the menu or just go all out and get the filet mignon or salmon because, what the heck, I was probably never going to be able to afford to come here again. I ended up getting a combination of the two in the Palm Beach entrée salad: lump crabmeat, poached shrimp remoulade, avocado, tomato, chopped egg. It was expertly crafted and each element was perfect in its own right. The shrimp was not overdone and the the crabmeat was tender. I loved the arrangement on the plate in a cylinder shape, like a child stuffed sand in a bucket on the beach and flipped it over. I left feeling refreshed as it was a fairly healthy dish and was still full because of the meat and greens. Overall a delicious meal.
