Ok rooms, friendly front desk service! I spent three nights there, my first two night there were bad! Cuz the room smells BAD! AWFUL! Then the third night i changed a room, and that room was nice, no bad odor. The location of this motel is good! It has sushi place, automatic carwash, national park and many gas station, coin laundry. Location and the friendly front desk staff will be the reason I will return to this motel next time i’m there.

I have been going to this motel for 8 years whenever I visit Front Royal. I stayed here for several years with my two daughters and still do for short times. My only wish for this place, keeping price in mind, is that they had two room suites so my daughter’s and I could continue to stay there for long visits. The management is the best and knows my family by sight. The personal kind of visit you want in a small town.

Bate and switch beware! I stayed here 2 nights, once at the beginning of a trip and once at the end. I had heard that they allowed you to leave cars and trailers on site for the motorcycle riders that were using the town as a home base. I called and emailed to confirm, both times was told yes absolutely. Fast forward to arrival, check in, they take my card, when given my keys I ask where we should leave the cars so we’re not«in the way» and I’m finally, for the first time, informed that they charge for leaving vehicles there but the desk clerk has no idea how much, or if they even do it anymore. Really? NOW you tell me this after I’ve already paid for my room? Fine, it can’t be that much, I’m not going to let this ruin my vacation. We leave for 7 glorious days of motorcycle bliss, return, check in, no mention of a charge. We check out the next day«thanks for staying with us» etc etc, no charge. Great! 4 days later I receive a voice mail AND an email: «you owe us $ 50 for parking here.» I agreed to the charge but let them know that this was ridiculous, not the charge mind you, but the manner in which they conduct this business. They had multiple opportunities to inform me before hand, and to provide me with details and actual costs during 2 check ins and 2 check outs and never did. The reply is full of «back talking» trying to cover tracks«we usually charge $ 10 a day per car but we’re only charging you $ 25 per car for the week so we’re already giving you a deal, this is to cover us for our responsibility to the vehicles while they are here etc etc» Mind you again that I was expressly told at the front desk that the Hotel assumed no responsibility for any vehicle left in the lot for any amount of time… so which one is it? On top of all this, the hotel smelled like old cigarettes and mold, the pillows were completely flat and we were initially given 2 sets of towels per room each time even though we had reservations for 4 people in each room. Dishonest, sneaky business, will never get money from me again.

The room was clean enough. Everything was working. The bed was good and clean but only two flat pillows on the king size bed. We have only 2 small and 2 regular size towels, very small soap and nothing else. In room we have a safe, TV(old style analog set), small fridge and microwave. Room was a bit depressing. The hotel did not appear to be updated. Continental Free Breakfast was very meager and no variety. Pre-packaged, high sugar content buns, and bread for heating or toasting, frozen waffles, high sugar cereals, coffee, orange juice, no eggs, no fruit or yogurt, and they didn’t restock anything. Yes, there is a computer available in the lobby and Wi-Fi throughout. Front desk staff was nice. The most important thing that they are pet friendly — $ 10 charge. The location is good, very close to many wineries, Skyline Drive, and Skyline Caverns. Gas station is across the street, burger place, pharmacy. McDonalds is in 5 min walking distance, and restaurant around the corner. Parking is big and free. Ask for a room away from the lobby, otherwise you’ll hear the TV all night.

Too soft a mattress, too hard pillows, a bad combo for a good night of sleep. Place is a bit rundown, though the staff is pleasant. I would hope there are better choices

We stayed here last week for one night. The entire motel smelled like an ash tray. And starting at about 8am, I kept hearing doors slamming, repeatedly. VERYANNOYING. I was hoping to sleep in a little bit, but that definitely didn’t happen. Also, they say they have free breakfast in the morning, but it’s about the crappiest breakfast I’ve ever seen. Not worth the $ 70 at all. Stay somewhere else.

Another member of the 2 star club of the Wyndam chains, w/nice folks but just way out of date and spent. Whatever, its good for a quick night and off to Skyline Drive, just 1 mile away and walk to a good dinner at Joe’s Steaks 200 yards away.

After a night spent in my non-smoking room, with a few walks through the non-smoking hallway and the non-smoking lobby, i stunk of stale cigarette smoke. In our room the mattress was rock hard, the AC/Heater put out air that smelled of urine, and the evening desk clerk was dismissive and unhelpful. The sign for this hotel is positioned much closer to the driveway for the adjacent business than the hotel’s driveway, so prepare to make a u-turn.
