Rockstar Martial Arts and Fitness

My son has been attending Rock Star Martial Arts for over two years now and he loves it! The lessons on discipline and respect that he receives are fantastic. He loves the instruction of Mr. Josh and he highly values his training in mma. This school is a great fit for us!

I’ve been doing Rockfit classes for about 2 months and its been an awesome experience. The instructors, Ryan and Josh, do a great job of organizing, educating and motivating the class. Both are approachable and happy to share their extensive martial arts knowledge. In a short time I have learned a lot and improved my cardio and strength.
Class is organized into two main sections following an initial warm up period. The punching bag section emphasizes proper form while maintaining a rapid pace. The circuit training section brings a wide variety of exercises to strengthen various muscle groups. They vary the workouts, so you don’t feel like you’re in a rut, and each instructor has their own style which keeps it interesting.
I’ve yet to do the Muay Thai or Jiu Jitsu classes so I cannot give a review of them. But I’ve seen some of the Kids Martial Arts classes and can say they look to be enjoying them. AMAZING with my son! We just started karate here 1 month ago. I wanted him to gain confidence and not be so shy! He would ALWAYS hide behind me around people (he’s 4!), and he would not talk to his friends or teachers at school. Even though he played with friends, he never was confident enough to talk to the, or ask questions.
Sheeva was great with him on the first free class. Within 5 minutes, she changed him from hiding behind to practicing hits on her pads. Both her and her husband are great with the kids and teaching them their lessons about karate, and respect in a fun way. My son never knows he’s learning anything because its so fun. Plus, the 30 minutes of running and jumping and getting all that energy out is awesome!
Now, the important part is that after 2 weeks of class he started actually talking to his teachers at school on most days. Now after a month, he talks and hugs them everyday… talks LOUD, asks questions, all of it. And on top of that… he is talking to the friends he plays with, and even hugged them bye, instead of hiding behind me.
So so worth it. We love the new confidence our man has!
