Me and my wife live very close to this restaurant and felt like having a nice piece of fish and decided to try this new place out a few weeks back, and since then we’ve gone again because we enjoyed it so much. The service has been excellent both times, from the greeter all the way down to service staff. They make you feel very welcome. And each time we walked right in and were seated without a wait, which can be very difficult to do in Frisco. Let’s be real about this … almost anyone can cook a steak or make a nice burger — beef is very forgiving — but fish is tricky. It can’t be under or over cooked or it’s awful. Our fish has been perfect each time. On our first visit I had their Redfish, which was phenomenal. It was equal to the best piece of Redfish I’ve ever had(which was in Jamaica, so you know that was fresh!). It makes my mouth water just thinking about it. My wife had the tilapia, which she raved about. On our second trip we both ordered their crab stuffed Flounder. It was excellent as well. Could have used a tad more sauce on it, but it was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and we again left completely satisfied. Their pricing is more than fair IMO. An excellent value. The only time I’ve had a better fish eating experience was at the Couch Street Fish House in Portland, OR, and that cost us close to $ 100 each for the 3-course meal. Can’t wait to go back!

D –Bar needed to be cleaned C –Shrimp had flavor, were OK size, the breading was flavorful, but way too thick. D –Fried crayfish again breading was good, but it was all breading where was the crayfish A –Fish breading was good, was not too thick and was good. A –Tartar sauce, cocktail sauce, and mustard sauce all well made albeit different that standard. A –Fries good fries cooked to perfection D –Hush puppies the flavor was awesome, but I think they microwave it. They were chewy and hard to cut. C –Soup pretty good, but pretty mediocre too. F –Prices

Shrimp and grits are awesome! Have had them twice now. Just the right amount of spice and wonderful seasoning. First time having key lime pie and it was too tart for my taste but if you normally like it then it might be ok!

Just left Rockfish with some family and friends and we thoroughly enjoyed it! There was no wait on a Saturday night, speedy service, affordable prices, adequate parking and most importantly GREATFOOD! I had the Talapia Oscar which was delicious and we split an entrée as an appetizer(the Cajun Pasta) which was delicious… a little spicy but delicious. Others at my table enjoyed the stuffed flounder, steak, and ribs. I will definitely be back and would recommend this restaurant to all!

Came here because it is walking distance from our Apartment Building(The Emerson) My fiancé and I just moved here from California, we had never tried Rockfish, weve had similar food at Bubba Gumps The Service — AMAZING Despite being packed at dinner time, we were greeted very nicely, waiter was ONPOINTE! Served us drinks really fast, very friendly and attentinve and offered to even give us a sample of a type of fish we inquired about. Our food was very good — I ordered the Rockfish Platter, My fiancé ordered Fish I believe it was Red Snapper. Drinks were really good as well! We intended to only come for dinner and head to a bar — however the bartenders were really cool with folks at the bar, good crowd and we decided to stay there! We had a blast, never been here before. Quite happy honestly, you guys are doing great! I recommend this place for Lunch or Dinner. Coming from California and having tried so much seafood(im from the coast) i didnt expect this!

Wanted to eat seafood. Found this restaurant by accident. Great selection of seafood. Nice environment. Great service! Happy about the cost.

Not bad, not real good, just ok. Glad we had reservations to skip the hour wait for pre-made food. Based on the other reviews had expected much more flavor. The filling for the enchiladas is pre-made, the crab bisque was good, clam chowder not so much. Our server was amazing and did a great job. Mixed drinks were more fillers than quality. Cajun pasta was fair, but the«generous» amounts of meat promised was way less as all were cut into small chunks. As another reviewer said, it’s not long johns, but it’s not an upscale seafood place either. A good alternative for red lobster fans. Worth a try when looking for a change in pace.

Food is very good and healthy. Only criticism is how they pushe the check and dessert before you are finished. That has happened the last 3 times. Also bus tub put right at our table to clear plates while we were still eating.

Overall Four stars for our dining experience here. Five stars for the exceptional service provided by our waiter Julio and the quality of the food. The Dynamite scallops were delicious as was the Panko Crusted mahi mahi. The seafood tasted very fresh. One star for the hostess with her head up her @$$. She proceeded to sit us in a booth which was very tight and uncomfortable for my 33 week pregnant wife. When we told her this is very tight she said the table moves and left. Fortunately our waiter Julio noticed our discomfort and moved us to a table out in the open which made our dining experience much more enjoyable.

We ran up there as soon as you posted. Great job. I got nitro and nitro in the side. Met Clarissa the GM. And Jay was a wealth of knowledge on what we were eating. The concoction of butter, crab boil etc … My husband made into what he now calls the«Buck-a-reaux» after he added sausage and crawfish. We’ll can’t wait to come back!!!

We tried this place for the first time for dinner. The restaurant has a nice casual feel to it. Service was adequate. Got a refill of ice tea with no ice. Food was very average. Fish was decent and veggies were not very hot. For the price expected better.

We had dinner here for the first time, and it was great! Our server, Julio, was awesome!!! The manager even stopped by to check on us. My husband had the crab cake dinner, and I had grilled rainbow trout. They were both great! We will definitely be back. Goodbye Red Lobster!!! The only complaint was the very uncomfortable chairs. 2÷21÷16 Went there tonight with our family of six, and they were busy but not packed. We have always had a wonderful experience, but the service tonight was slow and a little off. We kept receiving food we didn’t order and not getting drink refills. The food was still good, and we will give it another try. Maybe they were just short handed.

Best lunch in a very long time. Great service to boot. We are long time customers of rockfish and we’re pleased to see a new location. We ordered salads, perfect. Wife got gumbo which was loaded with shrimp and sausage. Very good flavor and presentation. I ordered the salmon lunch special. Got it blackened. Yellow rice and sugar snap peas rounded out a very tasty and beautiful plate. Back to this location, not a problem great new spot from an old friend. Try it. You should be pleased.

Very fresh food. And the place was packed for a Wednesday night. I always like seeing that. So many restaurants come and go in Frisco. I hope this one lasts. We had the tower of sushi, a dozen oysters and shrimp & grits. All very yummy. The oysters were the highlight for me. Cold fresh and delicious. Half price bottles of wine on Wednesday too. Can’t beat that!

It was«meh». Nothing too exciting. The shrimp looked like they had been frozen on the poboy which made them a little soggy. Staff was friendly but too many other places to go in the area with better quality

Wonderful. Had their shrimp cocktail, house salad, blackened tilapia; spouse had blackened catfish. Sides are very tasty. Portion size good for the price considering pricey location with lots of other restaurants now in this part of Frisco near Toyota Stadium and Main Event. Service was great and speedy granted it was not crowded. Will return. Their peel and eat shrimp is awesome.

A nice addition to this part of Frisco. Conveniently located off the tollway and Main, parking is plenty. Hubs and I tried the out for lunch after my niece declared this her new favorite restaurant(coming from the 12 year old who has celebrated her last 4 birthdays at Bob’s). Nice option to grab seafood and menu has plenty to choose from. While the lunch features left much to be desired(mostly deep fried), I did a 2 dish combo off the full menu and tried the blackened shrimp(4) and oysters(4). It came with 2 jalapeño hush puppies which were not one bit hot(boo) and I subbed the sides for the mashed potatoes and green beans. Surprisingly, the beans stole the show. Try them if you like things cooked with bacon, onions and potatoes but not greasy. A little pricy for what you get but a nice sit down option in the area no doubt.

We came here for a birthday dinner on a Saturday night.(They take reservations, which is nice because that seems harder to find these days.) I had fresh fish and I had it blackened with the Ponchatrain sauce, and it was awesome. Not sure if this is regular, but they had a ½ price bottle of wine special which was nice. We were all really happy with the food and service. Pricing was also good, no issues like the other reviewer mentioned.(It’s not long john silvers, ok?) Our server Joseph was really good, and the manager Clarissa stopped by to introduce herself and ask if we needed anything. I don’t usually remember names but they made an impression and were super friendly! Anyway, this is really close to our house and we will definitely be back, because I love seafood and it’s nice to have new options in Frisco.

My husband and I ate at the Frisco location for the first time last week and it was so good we went back 3 days later. Love their happy hours and the food is amazing. Devin the waiter is awesome and we had to have him again the second time. Love this place.
