Love this place. I transferred from the palm beach across the street to get away from the high pressure sales guy(no respect and bad tactics), but guess what… Now he is here. This better be temporary. I won’t transfer again. Super irritated to have to jump through hoops to avoid an employee to feel comfortable using my membership.

I’ve been coming here for awhile now and most of the workers are snobby and entitled. Today, I was in the stand up bed and they put the sign up that said it was clean and they lied. There was other people’s hair flying everywhere and chunks of other people’s lotion on the glass part. It is absolutely disgusting. There is one girl there that I really like and that’s about it.

Horrible experience as always! Don’t be fooled by the difference between planet tan and palm beach they are owned by the same corp. when you cancel, they will continue to charge your card and tel you it will take two weeks for reversal. Also, when you call corp numbers no answer, no call backs, they will not respond to anything! Worst customer service ever! If anyone else has experienced this msg me bc I am getting an attorney

SO i recently wrote a review on my experience, well i got a call today from the district manager the most confusing conversation why because she called about the wrong review nice organization skills. I WOULDTHINKBEING A DISTRICTMANGERYOUCOULD A LEASTGETTHECUSTOMERCOMPLAINTSRIGHT, also which i found ridiculous was when i wasn’t notified of over charges she said well we email and it tends to go to your junk mail uhhh okay who checks that but i did and just like i repeatedly told her i have never received a call email nothing… After today makes me wonder about how organized this place really is…

Drive to the next location. This one isn’t worth it. The staff varies between stuck up, plain rude and clueless. Brook is all three. They lack basic customer service skills and they attempt to force you to upgrade your membership and/or buy their overly priced lotions. I bought a $ 150 lotion from them, then two weeks later they told me it is «old, no good, there’s better…» They have the ability to discount things, give a free bed upgrade and alter membership prices, but it’s all based on if they like you or not. Every customer is NOT treated equally. I wish I knew the girls name who stood behind the counter on the phone and carried on a conversation with her boyfriend about how she thinks she has a yeast infection while I stood there waiting to be checked in. Or the time they were talking negatively about a customer who was in the bed while everyone in the check in area could hear them. Or when they argue over who is going to do check in and who is going to clean beds. Or the«manager,» Kaylee, who always looks like she just rolled out of bed. All examples of unprofessional business and conduct. This location used to be great in the years past, but as of now, I would not suggest it to my worst enemy.

Just recently got my first tanning membership ever and I am so glad I chose to Planet Tan! Everyone that works here is super sweet and welcoming they walk you through everything. I love the tan I am getting and it’s so quick to go in the room and tan and leave! If you want a good tan, at a good price, good atmosphere, and clean beds I would recommend to come here :) They can be a little too much when buying the lotions but that is there job, but they do have a great variety to chose from! The tan I am getting is such a pretty color and I just love it here!

I really wanted to like this place. The membership works at all locations and the hours of operation are great. However, I walked in to Planet Tan wanting a cheap, basic membership, and I felt so pressured by the sales reps to get the more expensive package. Even after opting for the more expensive package, the sales reps kept trying to upgrade me to an even more expensive package. I got talked into buying some ridiculously expensive lotion when I first signed up, and then every time after that, the sales reps would try to get me to buy another expensive lotion for my face. I got so tired of the constant sales pressure that I asked to cancel my membership. I couldn’t seem to get anyone to agree to cancel my membership and no one responded to my phone calls or emails. I eventually had to rely on my credit card company to block Planet Tan from auto-billing me each month. As far as the beds, they’re in pretty good condition and have always been clean. The beds for the two cheaper packages seem like the light bulbs aren’t changed too often. The beds for the expensive packages are almost too intense that I can’t go back for a week after using them once. Like I said, I really wanted to like Planet Tan, but I’ll be avoiding it going forward.

Love this Planet Tan! All of the staff are helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about all of their products. Sometimes when you go to tanning places, the staff are stuck up and snotty girls– but the girls that work here are awesome. They know you by name, which makes you feel like a valued member, their beds are always clean and you hardly ever have to wait. Yes– they try to upsell you products that are outrageously priced, and sell you their promotional items, but like any other place of employment – that is their job. Can’t knock em for doing what is expected of them. Will definitely continue tanning here! You can’t beat their prices either!

Take your business to a different tanning salon. This place is unprofessional. Got charged two extra months($ 60) when I didn’t sign for that. I cancelled my membership instantly. Also each time I walked in, The attendants seemed pushy with upgrades and products. I’ll go tanning at a different tanning salon in the near future.

I don’t know what has happened in the last couple of month there at the Frisco location other than the people from the McKinney location now work there and it has gone down hill. I live two miles from the McKinney location and when I first went to sign up I went to Mckinney. It was dirty and the people where rude so I didn’t sign up. Than one day after work I went to the Frisco location and I was shocked at how clean it was and how friendly everyone was. I signed up on the spot. The people working there always took the time to say hi and where very friendly. Than a few month latter around the end of May beginning of June 2014 the people from McKinney started working there and in no time at all I was just as disappointed in them. They never want to clean beds and seem to always try to get me to downgrade to avoid cleaning. One time they actually tried to upgrade me and told me I would get a better tan if I did and when I said no just put me in a level 4 bed she said well we don’t have any available you should do a 3 it will even out your tan. I said no just clean that room(the open /dirty Level 4). I canceled my membership 2 weeks latter the new people are rude and lazy and half the time they are just messing around when I went in. My wife still maintains her membership but as an example of their rudeness today she took a picture of a flyer in the room that said 2lvl upgrade for 3 month for 69.00. My wife asked if it was available and the person just said you can have the 45 day upgrade or the end of year upgrade for 99. my wife said but I am interest in this one is it also available and the employee just said you can do the one until the end of year and my wife said I just want to know if the 3 month one is available because if it isn’t than you should take it down but can you just tell me yes or no and the girl just walked way. I hate giving them one stars because the used to be awesome but with the new people there it is all they deserve. Now they suck!

My husband and I wanted to try spray-on tanning because we’re both pale ghosts and I can’t tan if I even try(have before with disastrous consequences). What I appreciated was that when we went one of the girls took the time to really explain the whole process of MysticTan and what it would do, really talked to us about the different colors and took the time to give tips and suggestions to make them go on evenly and last longer. That one-on-one attention was nice! On that first experience I would have given 4 stars, but since I’ve been back they’ve been a little pushy on the up-sale items. If I say I’m broke and can’t buy them, I really don’t need to know that I’d be saving $ 17 if I bought them anyway, you know? Just kind of off-putting even if the lotions and such are super helpful. Don’t be so pushy!

This place is huge — good looking staff(not so important but it helps ;) Clean beds? You betch! That is very important… I don’t want to have to lay there thinking about who was there before me sweating all over the place. They have multiple tanning packages that start at 20 bucks a month and go way up. I got the 20 a month package and they threw in a couple of tans in the nicer beds and a spray tan(I’m not saying the beds I’m using are gross or anything, they are just not the newest.) I like this place and I like the tan I’m getting there.
