Always excellent! I love all their sushi! It’s always fresh. Only thing they need to work on is keeping bathrooms clean & the odd smell that’s in there. When you walk in the area to the left it almost smells like a gas line or something like that… But sushi is always great! All my friends love it there!

Wonderful service. The food was good too. I like how the sushi chefs were actually Japanese. I’m not giving this restaurant a higher rating because I have had better sushi– albeit, Dallas is lacking in the sushi department, but I also don’t find their heavy use of «krab» to be that enjoyable. Otherwise, this is a good spot.

Great sushi and pretty good service. It’s easy to find right off 121 and legacy. Trendy décor and they have a cute small bites menu for the grill. I would say this is the best sushi restaurant in this area if you don’t feel like driving downtown/uptown.

Upon entering… impressive lounge-ish feel… you can guess price will be higher than avg… Looks like 2 sides of dinning area once louder music and the other more for just casual dinning… we were greeted promptly and lead to our table… our waiter was great, friendly and fairly quick to take our last minute HH appetizers and drinks order… We got the french kiss roll(no rice) was spicy tuna/crab and on top a thin slice of tuna sashimi… drenched in ponzu sauce with 7 flavor spice… this was very pleasant and light and good to start off then came the tomato maki which is bacon wrapped cherry tomatoes(6x) 2 skewers it was good but we’ve had better to be honest the center of the tomato was not hot enough. We got a bottle nigori sake with kirin ichiban to pair with our food… hh pricing are great for drinks Then we ordered more… ankimo($ 12) really high but tasted very fresh and good! Then we got hamachi kama(yellowtail collar) this was a big let down… it’s robata item but it was covered in eel sauce? And cut into half… ok it’s fusion I get it but eel sauce completly killed the taste of the fish and there were no ponzu sauce or raddish at all with the fish… this was priced at $ 10 which isn’t bad but next time we’ll just have to tell them no sauce just sea salt … We also got the gyu maki skewer with shishito pepper… this was good as any other place but again covered in sweet eel sauce =(…why??? Will have to tell them no sauce next time as well… we also got the hot rock(a beef dish) it’s sirloin beef which is good but it was too lean … They also gave butter and mushrooms it’s not bad but it’s not like the washu/waygu/kobe or tongue we are used to… Sushi nigiri wasn’t their strong point I guess we only see people order rolls… we got uni and salmon sushi it was just avg quality at best… Over all this place had a great décor 1 star, great service 1 star, good hh pricing 1 star…3 stars with room to improve… we’ll visit again then update review after we have some rolls next time

Fantastic sushi and service. We had a RSVP for 6 and showed up late. They had a swanky booth ready for us and the service was excellent. We tried numerous dishes all which were fantastic. Nice to see a ‘finer-dine’ option of sushi. Korean owned and employed which definitely explains the level of meticulous service. FYI, Korea has some of the best customer service in the world.

I’ve been to this sushi restaurant half a dozen times sit-in and a couple of times for take-out. I prefer sit-in as the ambiance of the restaurant is peaceful yet hip at the same time. I also commend their wait staff for excellent service and good recommendations on what else I’d enjoy. Growing up on an island and living near a coast, I go to a sushi restaurant for raw fish. In my first visit here, I found it funny that many rolls here include cream cheese. And 15 out of 20 specialty rolls are stuffed with imitation crab(I hate that mayo! Ew!). Also, eel sauce is used to garnish /flavor rolls that ironically contain no eel — there are no eel rolls on their menu. These red herrings usually would have me running out the door. But miraculously, the service and the 5 remaining rolls without imitation crab contain fresh fish and are good enough to make me return. Yes, I know I can sub in real snow crab for imitation crab, but the surcharge is just not worth the expense to me. It’s unadvertised, but the sushi bar will make the regular rolls you may be hungry for(e.g. rainbow roll). Sadly, no spider or eel rolls. Special call out for the Palm Springs roll. That is the their best non-imitation crab roll. Happy hour specials are not great. It’s perhaps $ 1 off a limited selection of beer and one wine at a reduced price. There is a dozen or so food items that are on special, at perhaps $ 2 – 4 off. This restaurant does a lot of take-out since it’s across the street from the Sheraton Stonebriar. Make sure to as for extra soy sauce as they only give you one small half-filled plastic container!

This is a great place for a date night. Sushi is overpriced but high quality nonetheless. Do NOT miss out on the Robata though! We didn’t know what it was so we almost skipped it but that was the coolest part. It is meat and veggies roasted over a fire with an amazing flavor. They give you three sauces that are very tasty but it is so good you don’t even need them. We had the veggie sampler(not sure what it was called exactly) and shrimp. The shrimp was amazing! We don’t eat land mammals so I can’t tell you about those but I’m sure they are amazing. The menu is quite varied with sushi, special rolls, entrees and the Robata plus a great wine menu. The service had something to be desired. We did come in late and stayed till closing but they pretty much rushed us out as soon as they could. We eat later then most so this happens to us sometimes. However there are other places that no matter if we are there at close are kind and generous. I expected that since we paid a lot for dinner but oh well. We will try and come earlier next time and maybe they will be nicer. Would have given it five stars if it were not for the service.

This place is perfection. I’ve been to too many Japanese restaurants to count and I’m a bit of a sushi snob. We’ve been here a few times, it’s not cheap but you get 10⁄10 food quality, great service, amazing atmosphere and surprisingly above par drinks. They probably make one of the best dirty Martinis, better than some uptown places I’ve been too. I’ve tried a variety of rolls, all were just delicious. We also got the lobster grits just left me speechless, it was that good. You can’t go wrong with the robata section either everything is cooked to perfection. I simply adore this place.

I’ll be blunt. I liked Densetsu more for the presentation, quality of the fish, and the originality. I had high standards. This place is decent but not mind-blowing, which is what I look for when I go to sushi restaurants — high quality fish, artistic presentation, etc. Even though Densetsu is pretty cramped, their fish just tasted a lot fresher. I ordered the salmon tartare. I enjoyed the chips on the side but nothing about it stood out to me. I couldn’t taste how fresh it was. Even when my mom ordered her omakase(chef’s choice), none of the fish stood out to be particularly fresh. I don’t know. Maybe it was an off-night. However, the service was really great. The waitress was very bubbly, and recommended the lychee cocktail which was A+. Come for happy hour and you can save quite a bit on rolls and drinks.

Heard so many good things about this place. But I thought. the rolls with shrimp tempura in them should be warm. But the Edoko Fire roll’s shrimp tempura is so cold. I didn’t like that at all. The happy hour robata and fish liver is pretty good but not stunning.

Mmmmmm yummy! I can’t even begin to describe how amazingly delicious the monkfish liver app special is. It’s like pâté, but in a ponzu sauce and much much much lighter than pâté and silky and just absolutely perfect. I probably could have eaten 5 orders of that and left happy. Also fantastic are the Edoko Fire and Edoko Kiss rolls. The Fire is just the right amount of spicy and not too heavy for having something fried inside. The Kiss is just awesome. It’s riceless and stuffed with crab meat instead. The white tiger roll is more traditional, but the fish is super fresh. If I wasn’t so full after all of that food I would have tried more rolls. And if you’re not weird about texture… get the uni nigiri. Delectable. Add raw quail egg if you’re feeling dangerous. Service was good but a little slow. Three things prevented this review from being 5 stars. 1) You’d think you couldn’t go wrong with tempura ice cream, but when the ice cream is rock hard and the breading is soggy, you can go wrong. Very wrong. We ate it, but afterward I’d wished for those calories back. 2) The ambience is not great. It was really bright and kind of felt like a chain restaurant because of the lighting. 3) Lychee rose martini = not good. I’ve had lychee cocktails elsewhere that were much, much better.

Came here with a co-worker for lunch and feelin sushi. The hostess was very welcoming and lovely! Very pleasant smile and sat us promptly! Our server, Jane, came immediately and was so attentive and sparked conversation with us the entire time. I really enjoyed her service and talking to her. She made some really good suggestion on the menu too, since we were being so indecisive. I am so in love with the Anaconda roll! Absolutely AMAZINNNNG. I’ll be back for the wonderful service and the mouth-watering fresh sushi !!

Seriously. I can’t even write about this without wanting to be back stuffing my face with sushi. Their location is a little awkward, sharing a parking lot with a hotel, but it seems to be surrounded with other like-restaurants with a little village-y sort of feel. I’ve been here twice, and the temperature is always a bit chilly in here, even in mid summer, so bring a jacket. The food… ohhh. My husband has ordered the chilean sea bass and said it’s out of this world. I’ve ordered a variety type of sushis(i tend to be a big avocado, jalapeño, eel or tuna fan). I’m always surprised by how full I get after just eating one roll, because it generally has heaping portions within just one piece. I’ve even gone when I was pregnant and work with the cooked stuff. If the place wasn’t so pricey, I’d go back more often. Otherwise, it’s a winner. Yum yum!

My favorite sushi place north of Dallas!!! My absolute favorite rolls that I get EVERY single time are the Butterfly Kiss, French Kiss and Speechless. The first two I mentioned have no rice, which I think is genius. The flavors are incredible. The service is always really great. We like to sit in the bar table area and eat, love the atmosphere.

Great concept. Very nice, contemporary design. Nice patio. Bartenders are always very attentive and suggestive. Menu is creative. I love the robata yaki. Especially all the items wrapped in bacon. I don’t know of any other sushi restaurants that offer that. Happy hour is great. They offer some specialty rolls for $ 8 and the fried stuffed mushroom is really yummy. But don’t order if you’re on a diet… We are usually able to tab out with 2 people for under $ 70 or so. When I want to reward myself with some speciality sushi and spend a little more money, I come here. All of the rolls with no rice are really good, like the French Kiss roll.

Visiting from LA thought I’d better peep out the local Japanese offering. Can’t believe I got so lucky since my hotel(Sheraton) is right across the street. Always skeptical I trickled my order but was very happy with everything. Sushi is good! I’m not a roll guy but straight up Nippon Style sushi was good. Sushi chef is Japanese so knowledge of the cut is apparent. Also tried a few pieces of the rotobaki. Good flavor — a little meaty compared to the dainty sizes I’m accustomed to but hey… I’m in Texas baby! All in all Edoko is worth the visit — the service is great, very clean and great ventilation.

Its okay. The menu is very basic. I was a little disappointed that they were out of the Chef’s special sockeye salmon shashimi. Its also the reason I am giving it three stars. When you open at 5 pm on a Saturday, which is about when we came in… it doesn’t look good when the manager comes to you and say we are out of the chef’s special. I would think you would have enough to maybe last an hour??? In any case, it was a good experience to check out the location.

I’ve been here now 3 times in the last month and a half, always for happy hour. Love the tartare with the sweet potato chips, very cute and clever app. I also am a fan of the hamachi, tempura and the anaconda role. Service has always been stellar and the sushi chefs are also very nice. Only role I am not a fan of is the one on the HH with the crab as the base(no rice), it’s just not my thing. I would also like to see more roles without sauce and their HH menu extended a bit, but I still like the vibe here and the couple of items that I like, I will still be back.

Edoko is now definitely in my top few favorite sushi places in the Dallas/Plano/Frisco areas. The service was great. Our server was not overbearing and checked back just enough. Our food came out pretty quickly and our drinks stayed filled. He gave good suggestions since this was our first time here. He was also very patient with us since I was having dinner with an old friend I had not seen in a while and it took us a while to order. The food was GREAT! The amount of food we got was pretty much the same as most sushi places but the prices were lower. I have paid $ 20 per roll at other places for the same amount of food that didn’t taste as good. At Edoko I paid $ 11-$ 12 per roll for really good sushi. Overall this was a great experience and I will store this away as one of my top go-to sushi places for next time.

I’ve been here a handful of times now(for lunch during work, happy hour with girl friends, date night with husband) and it’s been good experience each time. You can’t go wrong with the bento boxes for lunch; good sized portions and great value! All of the rolls I’ve tried have been flavorful and the sashimi is really fresh. They also have a good selection of robata as well. Some of my favorites include the hotate maki(bacon wrapped scallops) and miso sake kama(salmon collar in miso marinate). From the outside, Edoko looks pretty unassuming but inside, you’ll find that the restaurant has a a really nice, modern vibe. Give this place a try if you’re in the area! .
