There was a decent crowd at the bar for happy hour, but they definitely seemed understaffed with 2 bartenders/servers for the bar and the rest of the place(servers were coming up with orders). The beer was mediocre. Nothing I would crave. We ordered the bacon wrapped pretzels and they were hot but a little doughy in the middle. All in all, decent. I’m glad I checked it out for myself but I’m not dying to go back tomorrow.

Great location in Frisco, with awesome mountain views and a rustic atmosphere inside. They have very comfortable large chairs to relax in. The food was great and the beer was great, and the best is that you could sample their beers. The staff is very knowledgeable about beer selections. I learned what a saison is and I also learned that I love saisons haha

Stopped by as we are always looking for new breweries to try. We tried the sampler which was larger than most. We liked the wheat beer the most. Food was typical bar food munchies which went well with our beer.

Kinda blah. I ordered the saison I think, because they were out of almost everything. It was ok, not amazing, definitely unmemorable. It’s not really a brewery so the name of the restaurant is a little misleading, it’s more like a restaurant which also serves beer. Speaking of food, we ordered the bacon wrapped, jalapeño pretzels. Those were ok but a little bland. They had happy hour specials which included a discount on apps I can’t remember how much, but it was great to know. All in all, it was just kind of a blah, OK, place.

The highlight of this place is the beer. Which would be the only reason I would ever consider stopping back in. The last time I was there at least 5 menu items were 86’d, including pizza, by 7pm on a Sunday night. The bar service was poor to say the least. Bartenders were either MIA or too busy with tasks other than taking care of the customers.

Never again. If they get a new owner and new carpets and clean the place I may try it again. I work across the street from this place and eat at all the restaurants in Frisco on a daily basis. This was the worst dining experience I have had in summit county ever. To start I was the only person eating in the whole place and the service was horrible, the food even worse. They had 12 people doing nothing and it took 1hr and 20 min from the time I sat down. They were out of most of the beers that they make. This is peak season so how is that possible? I eat anything and very rarely find things to bitch about when it comes to food. It was so bad and so far gone I told them everything was good and I would be back. What do you say when everybody in this place was in another universe. Somebody told me the owner retired and bought 2 restaurants??? This place will fail for sure. Don’t do it till its under new everything. Plenty of good places to eat in Frisco.

Read the reviews here about poor food but decided to go anyway because we were thirsty for a beer and hungry for pub food. We had a great experience. Host was super friendly and our server was quick and attentive. We had several different things from the menu and it was all very good. Hot, fresh, brought out quickly. etc. I think they have a new menu so maybe the food is better as a result.

Would not recommend! Service was terrible and took an hour to get our food. Manager came by at my request. Said«sorry it took so long not sure what happened. A lot of tickets printed out in the kitchen not sure what happened to yours. But, how is your food now that you have it.» Then just walked away. Took $ 5 off the bill. Really! Should have been at least half off. Food not good either! Poor customer service. Don’t waste your money or time!

The food isn’t that great but if you’re looking for something to do in Frisco then I would head here. We got a flight of beer that was reasonably priced and some chili. It’s also a great spot to stop on your way into Breckenridge if you are looking to kill some time.

Beer was great, food was lousy. Don’t order the Prime Rib French Dip sandwich. You could get a better sandwich from Arby’s. Our server was cool, the vibes of the place were amazing, and we had a killer view of the beautiful trees in front of the Frisco sign when you’re pulling into town. I’d go back again and order something different. Try their Wheat beer. It’s delicious.

Not bad. Food selection is large, beers are decent and well priced. Doesn’t deserve anything more than a 3-star rating simply because it isn’t anything special. The food is okay, definitely in line of just«bar food» and the beers are all average. Nothing really popped in the beer category and we tried them all. Maybe move into something more diverse, adding a stout or a sour?

We’re doing a 1 star as that’s the minimum. Experience was horrible. We were a group of 14 that made reservations. Upon sitting down, the waiter arrived and asked for our drink order. We didn’t have menus and asked what they had to drink. The waiter responded snarkily with«well clearly you’re not ready then» in which we informed him that we don’t have menus to know what their offerings are. Then when ordering he incorrectly took our orders resulting in multiple delays, wrong items being brought out, and in the end didn’t compensate or correct anything. The entire night was failure after failure. The only silver lining was that he would each time admit to the failures/faults, but ultimately nothing was done to improve/correct them. It was as if it was ok to have this kind of experience and as long as he said«that was my fault» that it absolved him of the issue. Horrible service is An understatement. The food was subpar at best. Would not recommend going here.

Beer for a brewery was just mehhh! The happy hour jalapeño poppers were half cold! We only get to summit county once or twice a year and look forward to our micro brews and good food. Will skip this one from now on

Great food. We had the fish tacos, burgers and pasta. Beer was great too and the service was awesome. Definitely recommend stopping by.

I would give 0 stars if I could. The bartenders and staff are extremely shady. A few months ago, a group of us stopped by for happy hour. The bartender/waitress charged us full prices on both appetizers and beer. We showed her the mistake, and she only corrected the appetizers and ran the card; we were never discounted for our beers. We had to show her again that we didn’t receive the beer happy hour special. The same thing happened to us this past weekend. We stopped by for happy hour, and the bartender charged us full prices and added an additional menu item to our bill that we didn’t even order. I will never been returning. Double check your itemized receipts here!

Occasion: Cousin’s wedding rehearsal dinner. With the previous venue backing out, my cousin decided on this cozy brewery for the rehearsal dinner(per my suggestion) — and so glad she did. WHY? FOOD: so good, homemade, fresh and tasty! we noshed on an authentic Italian meal(as we had about 50 guests for dinner) full of 3 types of noodles, meatballs, chicken, salad and bread! yum! everything tasted great and was constantly refilled! ATMOSPHERE: cozy, warm and huge! we had a private room upstairs, and it was the perfect amount of space for all of us! it was the perfect spot for our group and felt very relaxed. BEER: delish! I’m a fan of most breweries, but this one had a particularly good pale ale. MMM! prices are reasonable and quite the variety is offered. SERVICE: we had a few servers taking drink orders and helping clear plates. they made a seemingly stressful meal(with that many guests!) painless :) Overall — I liked this spot in Frisco… and will be back!

When we stopped by, they were in the middle of a brewing cycle, so we didn’t get to try all the beers they normally have, but the Pilsner and Stout were outstanding! Food is good, but we were so enamored with the view, that I don’t know how we noticed the food when it came. The patio is just amazing!

@backcountrybrew Really good and friendly service. The bartender was awesome and nice. ‘Kicked’ was the Porter, which I wanted. Bummer. Spacious and large is the establishment. The beer is good. The seasonal Breakfast Stout had hints of coffee and would be yum for breakfast at 530am. They do not sell growlers. But one can bring a growler and they will fill it. Bathrooms were cleanly. The locals were abound. One can tell the regulars by the banter between the staff and those local folks. It’s good beer and they have been recognized six times by the prestigious Great American Beer Festival. Try their beer. You’ll be glad you did.

It’s easy to hit up lots of breweries with restaurants for dinner in Colorado. In fact, for our 3 day stay, we hit up 3 different breweries. They are abundant. And, in the thick of mountains, trees, and beer this is the one that stood out the most! We had yummy food, great beer, and wonderful service. It’s also located in Frisco, CO which is close to major ski resorts but not exactly too close. So, it’s a little less crowded than dining in Breckenridge or in Vail right after the mountain closes. I tried the wheat beer. It was very good and paired well with chicken tacos for my dinner after a long day on the slopes. Good juicy chicken plus I added on avocado! But backing up a bit – do not forget to order the chips and dip appetizer. The potato chips are the real deal. Made in house and fried crispy they arrive warm to your table. The dip was similar to french onion. These were gobbled up by our party in minutes. Others at the table loved their dishes too. However, one thing that really stood out to me is our waitress. In the midst of our meal we ordered another round of drinks and it had been about 5 – 10 minutes and she arrived back at our table and explained she hadn’t forgot about us, it’s just that the bar is backed up and they are working on our order. I turned to my friend at the table and said something like– this is all we want from servers/wait staff, just an update of what’s going on. I really appreciated this heads up. Many restaurants could learn from this! And this was a main reason this establishment stood out to me in good ol’ Colorado.

Every time I visit Frisco, we stop into Backcountry at least a three times before I leave. This place is on point. Their pints are super cheap, the staff is AWESOME, and the food is great! My favorite thing is that all of the beers are named after snowboarding/skiing things. They have a dinning area, bar and a lounge area with big, cozy couches and a fireplace. If you’re in town in the summer, they even have a balcony!
