Such a great little place! The pizza is very cheap for what it is — you can get a great pepperoni pizza for only $ 6, and the more elaborate pizzas are still reasonably priced. Friendly customer service. Not a super fancy place, but a good place to go grab some above average pizza.

I had only been here once before the other day and it was a good experience so I took the family for dinner. Not only do their prices compare with little Caesars, the flavor is so good. I just came home with 4 large pizzas for 36 bucks. 2 of them were specialty. This will now be our weekly pizza stop!!! Love it!

I love coming here for lunch! They have very good lunch specials. I always get a 42nd stromboli and it is amazing!!!

I’ve driven by numerous times and decided to finally try the place out. We got the Madison Square stromboli and the chicken parmigiana salad. The salad was good had artichoke, black olives, onion, and mozzarella. The chicken part was a bit odd for me, while the meat was moist so was the breading, tasted good though. The stromboli was delicious. We got a large and it was more than enough for me and my husband, and a peice left over for lunch tomorrow. For a little unassuming place in a shopping center it was good, costs are reasonable for the amount of food, staff is friendly, and the place ia clean Will definitely come back again.

I don’t see how this place has such great reviews. The only good thing about his place is the price. The food was cooked right and I ordered a large(which was nice and hot when I picked it up) but this place just doesn’t do it for me. Even with no soggy bits or burnt bottoms like others have claimed I still wouldn’t return.

Great pizza for the money. Great salsa and crust is nothing over the top gourmet but really really good. We buy it often.

I liked the pizza, the price was so cheap though! Any decent food that can feed my girlfriend and me dinner for $ 6.45(after taxes) is alright by me!

Cutely named menu selections and pretty good stromboli but their mozzarella is rubbery, which to me says lower quality ingredient. They were out of half of their fountain drink flavors(including no more root beer!). That’s poor management, as are dirty tables that I had to clean myself before sitting down. Not terrible, but not worth going out of your way for.

Place is clean, the prices are okay but it’s in a brick oven it’s worth it, front desk lady is very pretty and nice. Will come back for sure, for the food of course :)

As delicious as it gets for fast pizza on a weeknight! Worlds better than the pizza chains most people flock to for fast food. Saruzzos ingredients taste very fresh. The Campagnola is amazing. They are very generous with the specialty toppings… like artichokes, my fave. My boyfriend devoured the Broadway pie. I’ve ordered from here 4 times and I’ve been meaning to leave a rave review!

great pizza, but really gets the fifth star is the great prices. I found everything to be very reasonably priced. also, this place supports local charities and organizations. So, as a good corporate citizen of Friendswood, this place gets my vote, and my pizza business dollar. Kudos… keep it up!

I ordered a large thin crust pizza with ham, mushrooms and olives. I picked it up and it smelled good and looked great. Well it would have been good except that it had a ton salt on it. We ate a couple of pieces of it and threw the rest away. It was just uneatable, why they feel the need to add so much salt to their food is just beyond me. I will have to scratch this place off of my list and go back to one of the chain stores.

I only get a hour for lunch and they never open on time. I call in my order but there ovens are cold and so it still takes 30 to 35 mins to cook your food. I said something to them before but they don’t care at all. They have expressed that to me the last time I was there.

Pizza taste good except for the watered down pizza sauce they use. I love the brick oven taste. Their prices are reasonable. I wish they make more breadsticks though. I’ve been to this place like six times and breadsticks are always sold out. I recommend this place. Hope they change their crappy pizza sauce soon.

I am a regular patron of this establishment. I can order my pizza. The way I want it for about $ 10. It is a sit and serve yourself type of place, but I’m cool with that. You order at the counter and they bring the pizza to you. I like the fact that they are not stingy with the toppings. I with it was a brick oven spot, but the pizza taste pretty good coming from a regular metal pizza oven. My only tip is to call and place your order when you’re on your way.

Nice, clean, and friendly pizza joint. Ordered large Broadway(half with black olives), breadsticks, and two fountain drinks all for under $ 20. Breadsticks were phenomenal — fresh, hot/steaming, and 1″ tall. Pie was light on the sauce and super thin/crispy crust. Christian business(which I admire, respect, and support) with no qualms with declaring as such(thanks to God written inside store and on menu, as well as Christian music playing on the stereo). Recommend!

Why 4 stars? Because it’s a great pizza joint in Friendswood. — — — Fun fact: long before I was a Unilocaler, and pre-Tampa days, I grew up on the streets of Friendswood, TX. I actually worked in this same shopping plaza, on the opposite end at a place called MVPizza in 2002. It was a short-lived busines, but it was the gateway job that led me to delivering lots of pizza all throughout my college days. Anyway, that’s all irrelevant to Saruzzo. But what is relevant is that, apparently, places in this shopping center are really good at making pizza, regardless of which decade they exist in. We actually went here because my Dad swears by the place, and has *ALMOST* started Unilocaling just because he loves it so much. One day we might see his first review for Saruzzo. I don’t have a ton of details to add — we ordered a standard pizza with meatballs. It was definitely better than the fare served up a the Domino’s/Papa John’s of the world!

Pretty good pizza a breadsticks. Though I would’ve like a little more garlic on the breadsticks. Still pretty good. And we got ours fresh out the oven. Amazing lunch specials. We got a whole loaf of breadsticks, 2 slices of pizza, and 2 drinks for under about $ 10. Highly recommend for cheap decent pizza.

Great price for great pizza. We were visiting my SO’s aunt who lives near here and decided to get a couple slices on our way out. The garlic bread with marinara was huge and delicious. We split a lunch special and each had our own slice. I love pizza. It was pretty good. I particularly enjoyed the«whole in the wall atmosphere» like every good pizza place should have. It was clean and the employees were friendly.

Is that Mary J Blige’s cover of Rose Royce? Usher? Aaliyah? Vintage Justin Timberlake… somebody pass the Zima! Before I reminisce about button up dress shirts splashed with inadvertent glasses of Alize, the most striking thing about Saruzzo’s was the playlist. If you’ve ever been to a classic pizza place on the corner in NYC, then you will be reminded by everything here. They’ve got booths. They’ve got a gazillion pizza boxes folded and ready to go. Only thing missing décor wise was a flatscreen tv glued to the soccer game on Univision.(and if you’ve never seen that, you’re not from NYC) Foodwise, They’ve got pre-made slices, garlic knots, calzones, and a few new additions like pepperoni stix. There’s lunch special, 2 slices and a drink for 5 dollars.(don’t quote me if they change it by the time you head down there). As a fan of the pizza genre, there’s always a question of whether to go all out or just get a taste. A slice or a whole pie? For 3x the price of a big slice, I could get the whole pie, and have something to bring home to the fam. Teenager in the house means no food goes uneaten. I went with the whole hog. A grabbed a Sicilian because you hardly ever see squares on menus in Houston. For the unfamiliar, a Sicilian is a square pie with a considerable amount of dough underneath. Arguably the sauce and cheese are the delivery device for the dough, where a regular pizza is the opposite. Crust — Thick, with some nice darkening in some spots. Part of me notes a bit of baking powder/soda as opposed to yeast. Could be in my mind. Cheese — Adequate Sauce — Present Toppings — Thin pepperoni This isn’t shaping up to be a «knock it out of the park» pie experience. I’m sad to say that it wasn’t. On the continuum from Grade School Cafeteria Pizza and going to Il Pizzaiolo del Presidente on Via Tribunali in Napoli — it compares favorable with Little Caesars, Buck’s, Dan’s Pizza Co. I may just be a stickler. The rest of the Friendswood patronage seemed to be enjoying their pizza. They advertise on value, and with respect to value, they deliver. If they wanted to hit more of the check boxes on an ultimate pizza experience, transitioning their Sicilian to a Detroit Style Square wouldn’t be a bad idea. So if your soccer team is celebrating a 1 – 1 win, then getting 5 – 6 pies wouldn’t be a bad move.
