Mainline Ink

After having a not so pleasant experience, the owner Gabriel called and offered to try to fully cover up the tattoo I originally went in to cover up a month previous, with no luck. He told me to text on Tuesday to see if he could try to fit me in. No response, granted he was leaving on a trip but, a text saying I will get back after trip would be nice, but, after speaking to the original tattooist and a fellow co worker, I am not surprised with lack of customer service. The owner mentioned my reviews more then the service I received. Will go elsewhere to try to fully cover up.

Ok so that everyone knows, this are true and factual information which is based on MY experience with this Tattoo shop. With that said it is MY opinion that Mainline Ink deserves less than a one star, however that is not an option here.
I am going to tell you that in my opinion I would NEVER refer a friend or enemy to Mainline ink as the artist was bad but the ownership and management of the shop was even worse. And here’s why …
I did a lot of research on where to go to get my tattoo, or so I thought. I chose to Mainline Ink mostly because thay have a 5 star rating here. My request was for them to create an Angelic Feather on the underside of my arm between my wrist and the bend of my arm. I provided the artist with a photo of the tattoo I wanted.
I had the misfortune to receive my tattoo from a guy named «Fello» at Mainline Ink. After approximately 5 to 7 minutes of working on my arm, Fello said «ok, there» and proceeded to act as if the tattoo was complete. This worried me as to me the tattoo was very much NOT completed. I looked at him and said «Seriously? You’re going to leave this tattoo looking like this?» The tattoo looked nothing like the picture I brought in with me and provided to him but instead looked more like a Tribal «dream catcher» feather. Upon leaving Mainline Inkthat evening I was VERY unhappy. I was EMBARRASSED by what I now had on my arm and I felt too humiliated to even show it to any one. The next day I went to a few different tattoo shops to see if they believed the feather tattoo on my arm looked ANYTHING like the one in the pic I had on my phone. They ALL said it did not. The last place I went to was Scarlet’s Web in Pasadena. Jamie (the owner) told me that I should go back and talk to Gabe (the owner) of Mainline Ink and that he would probably make it right but nonetheless I needed to let the tattoo heal before anyone should try to fix it.
After my tattoo healed I was still VERY unhappy with what was now permanently on my arm. I called Mainline Ink and asked to speak to the owner (Gabe). Three days later I received a phone call from «Becca», Gabe’s «assistant», asking me what the problem was and told me that she was the shops manager when I asked her why Gabe had not returned my call. Becca became very rude and disrespectful when I told her that I called to speak with Gabe. I made NO headway with her.
Another week went by and I went in person to Mainline Ink where I had the misfortune to meet «Becca» in person. After a lengthy conversation with Becca and a female artist (forgot her name), the artist acted as if she would fix my tattoo for free «as long as Gabe approved it». Becca said she had to go call Gabe and ask him. I asked for a refund at that time. Now, I do understand that TYPICALLY there is a no refund policy at a lot of tattoo shops however I had high hopes that this shop was going to make a great customer service recovery. They did NOT. I was told by Becca that she spoke to Gabe and he said that he would not give me a refund but that HE would «fix» my tattoo himself. Well, having never met Gabe nor had he seen my tattoo I was disappointed that this was my only option per Becca. I expressed my dissatisfaction to Becca and the female and one male artist. I left. A few days later I went to Scarlet’s Web, paid her to fix the tattoo of which I like much better. I will have to have at least one more session to make further corrections.

Love love LOVE this fantastic shop. I started goin I main line because I lived right down the street and wanted to get my first legal tattoo. i guess it’s true what people say about getting a tattoo, after one you’re addicted! I’ve gone to main line for my crazy urge to get a random piercing on my face, and for 10 hours+ in getting my ink. Everytime I’ve gone its been the same girl names beccas who’s helped me from getting pierced to figuring out the best artist for me. It’s hard to choose which artist is best because there’s so many I go to for certain styles. I recommend this shop for anyone needing to get and ink fix!

I LOVE THIS PLACE! This was my second time going to Mainline. The first time I had gone with a cousin to get her nose pierced and they did a really good job. Today I went to go get both my conchs pierced and Becca was my piercer. She was really quick and did not let me feel too much pain.

Alex was awesome!!! thanks for such a cute tattoo with great line work!!! he also did a great job changing a white tattoo of two roses into a beautiful outline of two red roses. coming back to Mainline Ink for my future tattoos!

Been going to Ricky for my tattoos for a few years now, and couldn’t be happier with him and them. I’m always getting compliments on his line work and how bright the colors are. I’ll be going back, for sure.

I met Ricky Glory from a mutual friend a couple years ago that had an amazing tattoo and I had to see him ASAP to get one of my own. My first piece by Ricky was a saguaro cactus on the inside of my arm and it turned out incredible. I decided I wanted a half sleeve after my first piece and I was seeing Ricky for my next piece before my last one was healed. I’ve always completely trusted him and all of his suggestions were exactly what I wanted. He did a free hand bird on my elbow that I was super impressed with. I won’t trust any other tattoo artist but Ricky and am holding out on my next piece until I come back to Houston from living in AZ. You the man Ricky! I definitely recommend booking with him!

I went in on Thursday with a friend of mine, we were both getting tattoos to celebrate big milestones in our lives and it was the first for both of us. I went here on the recommendation of a friend, and I was so glad I did! The place was very clean, professional, and accommodating. I didn’t even know a tattoo shop existed in Friendswood!
We showed up with what we wanted in hand and Casey took care of both of us right away. He took his time and made sure everything was exactly as we wanted and was very honest with me about what type of script would look best (I got a quote done) and be the most readable over time. He (and everyone else) in the shop was very funny and we had a great time getting our tattoos.
We are the type of people who would normally be seen in a tattoo shop (two 30-​something, female high school teachers, lol), but we didn’t feel out of place at all and we both walked out with awesome tattoos that were exactly what we wanted.
Mainline Ink is a great place and if I ever do decide to get another tattoo, I will come back here.

this place has a reputation of giving good tattoos, i went i and spoke with Gabe and a week later i walked out with the best tattoo I’ve ever got.
