Friedensburg Country Restaurants

Decided to give this place another shot since it’s been quite a while since we were there. Stopped in on Black Friday and they had one waitress working in the dining room. It took 15 minutes for her to even acknowledge us. Stopped there again today for lunch. My son asked for fries with his club sandwich and it cost an additional $ 5. NO THANKS. This time, we will not return.

Traveled an hour away to an appointment nearby. We stopped to eat and first thing we noticed was that servers we’re not very friendly. So we sat down and they moved us to a «smaller table» which was fine. So we ordered an appetizer and a cheesesteak and another fried item. After waiting 20 mins app came out. Figured food shouldn’t be
Long it was a cheesesteak and fried food. Well we sat over 45 min. That’s not the worst part. We asked about boxing it up because we had to go at that point and were rudely told they had a large party it will be out soon and YES they will box it. No apologies or wait staff letting us know they are running behind. Nothing at all. As a business owner myself I find this Completely unacceptable. The customer should Always get an apology we didn’t even get that so I left the cash on the table for appetizer and we left without eating our meal. Place isn’t the cleanest either. I would NOT recommend to anyone.

Meals… Our appetizer came out. Good, but waitress never checked on us and we needed drink refills. We sat for 40 MINUTES AFTER waiting… Nothing. I had to walk up to someone who worked there who instead of apologizing for the overly slow service made an excuse saying they had a table of 20. Not my problem, dropped the money for the appetizer and drinks and left. Not to mention, I saw a waitress pick up a cup off the dirty floor and put it in the stack of clean cups to be served to customers. Ew

Worst meal I ever had. Steak was burnt and dry. Meatloaf was cold in the middle. Do NOT waste your time or money here. If I could give them a –5 that would be a compliment.

I really like going there for breakfast but I can’t stand the lousy service. If those two regular servers were replaced with decent waitresses I’d eat there more often. I don’t think I ever left there without being up set over the crappy service.”

Large portions. Wide menu variety. Country cooking!

Really love this place for breakfast, have not tried it for lunch or dinner. The creamed chipped beef is the best! We did have a bad experience with a waitress sitting on the dining room side once, but then ate on the smaller side near the cashier and have never had a problem again. Incredibly affordable too.

It’s a rapid downhill decent for this restaurant. Breakfast on a Sunday morning is excellent — Friday haddack night is also very good but tonight we stopped there for dinner. We expected a huge crowd considering it’s Mother’s Day but to our surprise the parking lot was nearly empty. We walked into the restaurant side (not the dining room). selected our seat, we were given menus and drinks and then things came to a grinding halt. No service to be had — we sat there 20 minutes and no waitress ever approached our table. The fat blonde working there in the capacity of a waitress is utterly useless, We got up and walked out… drinks on the house! Good Bye Fridensburg Country Restaurant. Never again!!!
