You could get lost in this place. You don’t know where to begin. I just went for the General Tso’s chicken and the sushi. They were both good. Afterwards, I went out to look for stuff that I hadn’t seen at other buffets. It was ok. Overall, the food ranges from nasty to delicious. You just have to find the entrees that suit you. If you don’t find something you like here, then you’re likely an untruthful snob or so picky that you are emaciated. It’s a crazy atmosphere sort of like Walmart on Black Friday but what they hey, I’m no better than anyone else pushing my way to the front for some more steamed mussels!

Went there about a week ago but didn’t have a chance to write till now. Very large place but sectioned into smaller areas so you don’t feel like your sitting in a warehouse. The food was pretty good with many options to satisfy anyone. Staff was efficient but not all that friendly. Not rude just not friendly. Stuck with mostly chicken dishes and all were pretty tasty. Sushi wasn’t all that good but it is a buffet. Price was very reasonable and I will surly be back.

Give me something good I was not disappointed Although, minus one I have driven by this place on 694 several times now. It is huuuuge. You can not miss it on the Twin Cities bypass. Been wanting to go for awhile. Was driving by close to three today. Decided to give it a shot despite the off hour. This place appears to be always on. People coming and going at 2:55 on Friday afternoon. There are ten buffet stations. Plus a dessert station, sushi station and teppanyaki station. I did not partake in the teppanyaki or dessert, but I hit up the Chinese buffet and sushi. The food from the buffet was fresh and being replenished even at 3:15 in the afternoon. The standouts for me were the black pepper shrimp and orange chicken. The sushi was just OK, but hey it was only eight dollars and fifty nine cents! Wish this place was in Woodbury or St. Paul or someplace other than Fridley that I get to more often. Compares favorably with Kyoto Sushi, but much cheaper!

Ok… so let’s look at this for reals. It’s a buffet. And I would normally give this a 4 star probably, but for it’s category and price point; it can definitely be a 5. The space is huge… and pretty damn clean. There’s a noodle bar(I forget what these are actually called at the moment), a noodle soup bar, a sushi bar, a chocolate fountain, dessert(which in my opinion is meh and could use some work), an ice cream bar, regular chinese buffet desserts, a salad bar and a ton of other food. Surprisingly their phở broth is pretty decent and worth a bowl. They have four regular chinese buffet soups to choose from: egg drop, seafood, hot & sour and clam chowder. They have some American foods too… and variety of your usual chinese buffet fare and yet still a ton more stuff. Personally, I like to go for the crawfish, crab… a bowl of phở and then whatever else. The bathrooms and nice and big and clean. Most of the food get turnover pretty often… a few items do sit there though, which is too bad. The service is pretty good. They keep an eye on you and clear the plates and refill water. The price… at the time is $ 12.99, drinks not included… TLDR: not a bad deal for variety and price and quality, definitely worth checking out.

Always great service. Pretty good for a buffet. Good selection and the sushi is pretty good. We come ere after training if we want a quick meal with lots of selection. In saying that the dessert part of the buffet totally sucks. Very disappointing selection

The staff was very rude. Ignored us mostly, half our party ordered hot tea, we got empty mugs. Supposedly their hot water wasn’t working. 20 minutes later, we got room temperature tea, we had to flag someone down and request water. When the bill came, my sister gave them a large tip, for a brief moment, the waiter’s face acknowledged some guilt for getting an undeserved tip. Couldn’t enjoy the food, I understand you get busy, but to be treated poorly & ignored, ruins the entire experience. That’s where your lack of training your staff, either makes or break you. You broke BIG. No thanks

They have a great food/ice cream selection with reasonable prices. And This was my favorite go-to buffet until tonight. Tonight, I thought it was weird that my male server would literally place my tab in front of me and point out the price to me. But didn’t think much of it. As I’m taking the last bite of my fortune cookie, the female server comes over and literally grabs the tab, that was just signed, from right under me without a word. Like, RIGHTUNDERMYARMS(elbows on the table). I’ve gotten used to being treated unfairly when dining in my fellow Asian restaurants but this was the first time and restaurant I’ve experienced with such dirty, disrespectful customer service. Not once was I offered a refill on my drink, wasted food, or left a dirty table. I’m done with this pos buffet.

Phenomenal food here, they have an abundance of options so you’re sure to find something you like. The $ 8 lunch buffet is hard to pass on. And the create-your-own dish offers a selection of fresh veggies, meats and spices — sure to satisfy your appetite.

Not sure how and why I haven’t posted a review of this place, since I’ve try it before and my experience was horrible. The floor by the food was sticky, yeah every step I took, you can hear the peeling sounds of the floor and my sandal The food is on the bland side, even though they had what look like a lot, nothing really stand out, it’s like taking two mediocre buffet and combining them. This was my family first and last time here, I’ve been to a lot of buffet in my life time, BUT have never had one that actually made me sick, almost like food poisoning. Not only me, but also my wife, she had it the worst, because she actually try more stuffs then me, since the food wasn’t all that to wow about I had 1 maybe 2 plate. At most. But I have the stomach thing for 1 – 2 days, my wife had it for 3 days . We have 5 little kids at that time too and I was worry that their system might not handle it as well as ours, since ours was having a hard time dealing with this food. Summery: even with the many«good» reviews. Eat at your own RISK.

I really liked it. Sushi was good and the wait was short even though there was about 50 people waiting for tables. Will come back.

This was my second time visiting the Teppanyaki Grill and I said the exact same thing I did the last time when I left: you couldn’t pay me to go back. Let me begin with the general buffet. Literally every item in the buffet was freezing cold. I wish there would have been a microwave by the buffet so at least that flavorless garbage would have been warm. Nearly every chicken item was offensively bland. The noodles were slimy and, of course, cold. Rice was the yellow, flavorless rice that is a waste of energy eating. The hibachi is the only somewhat redeeming quality of this dump but yet again proved itself to be flavorless. I got the«hot and spicy sauce», which was neither hot nor spicy, nor had any distinct flavor at all for that matter. The sushi… don’t get the sushi. In sum, save your money and go to one of the many other buffets in the cities. I was envious of the patrons of McDonald’s in the drive thru line because they had made the decision to not go to the Teppanyaki Grill.

Honestly? One of the best Asian buffets I have been to, anywhere. Ultra clean, huge food selections, Chinese, Japanese, Sing, and Western. Kids will love the chocolate fountain at the dessert bar. Get a custom cooked plate at the hibachi station. Discounts for seniors and kids.

So this was actually our second time coming here. Kind of. The first time we couldn’t find a spot in the parking lot and had to turn around and go home. This time we came around 15 minutes prior to opening and we were much more successful(Read, this place is hoppin’). There is a ton of stuff here. Crazy good variety. I mostly stuck to Asian foods, but there was a definite supply of American stuff in case you’ve got kids. Everything tasted… not quite right. Like, it was all fine, but nothing to call home about. The spicy food wasn’t quite spicy and everything had a kind of weird sweetness. Idk must have been catering to a very specific audience, and that audience was not me. The hibachi grill kind of saved it for me. Yum. I got the Kung Pao sauce and again, not spicy at all and overly sweet, but forgivable tribulations. If I came back, it would probably be just for the hibachi.

A buffet to add to my favorites. The restaurant is spacious and clean. The phở taste really good for a buffet, near authentic. The sushi has many varieties, and is also good quality for a buffet. They have many options of food, and many of them are also goo and fulfilling. The service is also good. The waitresses were attentive; always picking up plates and refilling beverages. This is one of my top two go-to buffet in the area. Will be coming back in the future many times.

Excellent choice of food! I love the phở broth. Went there with my family during July 4th weekend. Was pleasantly surprised as to how delicious everything was. Would have given 5 stars but we were not happy with our server. She gave us our check and we paid with a credit card. She later came while we were still signing our bill and told us that the total did not include tip. We felt that was very rude of her and made our experience awkward as we wait until the rest of our family finishes. We did end up giving her a tip in cash after feeling like we had to. The whole time my family was getting ready to go, eating our last bites, she kept looking at us to make sure we tipped her. We understand the importance of tipping our servers but when one demands for it, it makes the experience a not so good one. Not sure if we will go again.

Super efficient buffet, and huge, with a ton of selection! I was impressed. The place was slammed over lunch hour, and it took a few minutes to get seated, but other than that everything was great. The buffet spread was impressive. I’m pretty picky when it comes to Asian buffets but there were so many options here, everyone would be happy. They had standard stir fry dishes, seafood(mussels! clams!) vegetables, a huge sushi spread, a hibachi grill(it was DELICIOUS), a phở bar, soups, salads, a bunch of American food(pizza, corn on the cob, chicken strips, etc) plus ice cream, desserts, and a chocolate fountain! They were quick to take my plate away when I went back up for more. Once in a child there were a few items that were out, but they were fairly quick to refill. If this place was closer to me, I’d be there ALLTHETIME and weigh a thousand pounds. Plus, the lunch buffet is only $ 7.99! Yesssss.

Immense. Extremely clean restaurant. Large spacious booths and tables. Bathrooms are immaculate. Food selection is monstrous, like others have mentioned. Sushi is not labeled. We all preferred the sushi at Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet, 3 miles up University Ave into Spring Lake Park. While I tried my hardest not to keep making comparisons between the two, I couldn’t help but do so.(They are both very large buffets in the Fridley /SLP area) We arrived on a Friday night when they had only been open for a week. The lobby was already packed at 5:45pm. Our party of 3 had a 25 minute wait to be seated, which was fine because we knew it was gonna be good. They have a fish pond built into the ground, with plants and rocks. Lots of families and children, which I was pleased to see. FOOD: We started with salad, moved onto hot items like cream cheese puffs, egg rolls, baked salmon, noodles, shrimp and chicken dishes. All pretty standard Chinese buffet food, but everything was replenished frequently, and everything tasted hot and fresh. They also have lots of American /Non-Chinese dishes like alfredo, mozzarella sticks, soups, and cheesy spinach which I did not get to try but I will next time. GRILL: I made my way to the Teppanyaki Grill part of the buffet, where I stood in line for maybe 20 minutes to have my bowl cooked up on the hot grill. I liked that they have steaks, chicken and shrimp to choose from. You can have a little bit of everything and they grill it for you. You add your vegetables and noodles and they add the sauce. I did not like that they don’t provide knives to cut your meat once you get back to the table. They only provide spoons and forks which is bizarre. DRINKS: We drank hot tea which was great, and was refreshed for us throughout our meal. Hubby also ordered a Coke. They do not serve alcohol. I know because I asked for Sake and they said no alcohol. And that’s ok :) DESSERTS: They have a CHOCOLATEFOUNTAIN. With fruits, marshmallows and cookies to dip. I felt like a kid in a candy store. I was also very happy with their Green Tea ice-cream, and their Birthday Cake ice-cream. My only issue is that the ice-cream is extremely hard to serve. You need to use a spoon to scrape it out of the tub, while everyone swarms around you to get inside the ice-cream case. It was cumbersome and awkwardly unpleasant. It did not spoil my experience though. I went back to my table with my 2 small bowls of ice-cream and chocolate-dipped goodies. PRICE: We went for dinner, it was $ 12.99 per adult. Very inexpensive and very affordable. It was worth it and then some. OVERALL: We will be back!
