If «Service is King» this Walgreens is «A Dunce!»
Switched to Walgreens at the beginning of 2014 due to the insurance plan i’m on. The pharmacy has generally been «okay» though i’ve experienced a few delays.
However, my shopping experiences – I“m there once or twice a month – have been «Unsatisfactory.» Store is, it seems, always understaffed regardless of how few customers are there. Worse, the store places many items in locked cases’ Ten to 15 minute waits for someone to come unlock the case even for routine purchases are the rule. That’s after the pharmacy department or front cashier have repeatedly called on the loudspeaker for «customer service.».
Today was the 3^rd time in the last couple months that I damn near had to throw a fit to get someone to attend. Spoke with the manager today and on a previous occasion. Apologies and excuses don’t make up for the absence of reasonable customer service.
Is it a store management problem? Don’t know but it seems more likely that Corporate has limited staffing and at the same time locked away many products other stores have on open shelves.
Low labor costs and protective measures to reduce «shrinkage» may be what Walgreen’s expects of their managers. But if it’s at the cost of customer service, this is a losing business strategy.

this review is solely on their pharmacy. This pharmacy is horrible. I have to use their mail order now to get my meds sent to me as they have absolutely no idea what they are doing inside the store. Every time I send in a request to have my meds refilled they dont ever bother to notify me that my doctor had not received their request nor sent it in the first place. I constantly go without my meds due to their stupidity. Ive been without meds for a week now, saying they were out. They said restock is coming Monday. Fine. Call Monday. Not ready. Call Tuesday. Not ready. Call Wednesday. Not ready. Call Thursday. Oh we got it Monday… how many pills do you want? ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? I would transfer my prescriptions to the Rite Aid down the street but they’re even worse than these idiots.

This Walgreens is fairly new and clean. They have a little bit of everything. I like looking at the marked down items. I’ll usually find some awesome deals =D
