I had the misfortune to be involved in a real estate transaction where Ms. Hedrick was the listing agent. The deal fell apart because of her inability to perform or manage a transaction. In fact, the level of arrogance shown through the process and the inability to take blame for screwing up was really stunning. After failing to provide her seller’s pest inspection and proper disclosures to us in a timely manner, after 9 days in escrow, we had to cancel our appraisal and home inspection and try to reschedule them. We asked Ms. Hedrick for a reasonable extension to recapture our lost time in the discovery period, without affecting escrow close date mind you, and she tried to be controlling and was unapologetic about the way she screwed it all up. So we cancelled and what should have been a smooth deal for her seller and us went down like a burning paper boat. My opinion after working with this agent is that she does not know how to manage the real operational pieces of the transaction, the actual hard work to get it through closing.
