Terrible experience at this store. We went to this store to look for some fabric, but found the prices to be higher than other stores for similar quality. The store itself is nice and neat albeit dead with no cars in the lot and no customers in the store. We should have seen the red flags, but read on to see what happened. This store has a little area in the back with a kid’s table, books, toys, and a bench for adults to sit. I’m not sure if this is meant for customers use or for their own personal use as there appeared to be a young child sleeping back there. Regardless, the area was not closed off and appeared to be for customer use. My 2 year old son spent some time at the kid’s area which I thought was nice to keep him occupied so that his mother could spend some time shopping. Our son walked into the store with a cookie in his hand, and as we were leaving the store with my son being carried in my arms, the old lady who owns the store grabbed him by his hand and tried to take the cookie away. My wife and I were so confused about what was happening at the time, and it happened so fast that I didn’t know how to react. When the old lady realized that it was a cookie, she mumbled something along the lines that she thought our son took her grandson’s toy. This is definitely one of the strangest experience that I have ever had. Misunderstandings do happen, but how this lady reacted was unbelievable. It was not only childish, but rude for her to assume that we would allow our son to take something that didn’t belong to him. Even more disturbing was that she couldn’t process the best way to resolve the issue by simply asking us and felt compelled to take matters into her own hands by laying her hands on our 2 year old. That is battery, and we should have called the cops. However, it all happened so fast and so bizarre that we were just caught in a state of shock. On the drive home, my wife and I were just completely astounded with what happened. We were angry, but probably more hurt and confused about her reaction. I couldn’t help but feel that she exemplified the, perhaps justified, South Asian immigrant stereotype of being a greedy bean counter and following customers around the store because they’re afraid of getting robbed(of a used scrappy toy, in this case). Who knows, maybe it’s a cultural thing. We should have made this old hag replace the cookie that she contaminated with her dirty paws just to spite her.

Great service! Awesome prices. Top quality good hand selected and made. Best sweets in town next door. And this is from someone who has shopped in London, Chicago and LA.

I went into the store with hopes of finding a wrap or scarf to go with my formal dress, instead I found a beautiful fabric that matched perfectly. The owner and his wife were very helpful and offered to have their seamstress make the wrap custom to my liking. My custom wrap turned out beautifully.

I don’t understand why someone is going to open up a clothing shop and turn away business. Hands down the worst customer service I’ve ever had. Take my advice and do NOT waste your time, it’s only a matter of time before this place closes down!

Some of the nicest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of doing business with. Had an outfit handmade here in record time for a party. The service was so friendly I felt like family. The tailoring was perfect, the price was very affordable, and my attire was beautiful and very comfortable. There is so much amazing fabric in this store too! If money was no object, I’d buy a good dozen more handmade things here. I will DEFINITELY go back soon.
