I always come here for little things. Today I walked in to return something and guy tells me they don’t have enough money to refund it was only 7:30 pm on Saturday lol. What if Customer drives from far to return something and store says they can’t refund because they don’t have enough money. What kind of bs is that?

I went into RS to find a new plug for a circuit board that fried. They didn’t have the plug i was looking for… However they found some pins that would work so i could get the A/C up and running. It took me a little longer to do the job, but i got it done. Thanks to the c/s rep!!! He found the right items so i could complete my job!!! Then like usual he tried to sell me some batteries!!! LOL

Needed a simple RCA connecter — couldn’t believe I couldn’t find one anywhere in the many boxes of electronic junk… Went to Radio Shack, nobody in the store — what a shock! Bought the cheapest one — 2.99. Idiot guy rings me up, doesn’t say a thing other than — we have a special on batteries. Give him a twenty and he counts back my change, he charges me nearly 5 dollars. He gives me that we have many different models and I probably grabbed the wrong one… F HIM — I know the fake gold connectors are more money, and I was going to buy the cheapest. The lazy F doesn’t even walk to the aisle with me, grab the price maker with the model number… and wholly F, I am right. The Prck took several minutes and never once said sorry, we had prices changes, this happens once in a while… nothing, just pissed he had to work, rang it up and gave me my buck and half back… Oh yeah, nobody else in the, he wasn’t busy… You guys better hire some people with brains and personality…

Not all Radio Shacks are this horrible. But this one is. It’s amazing so many people can’t find jobs, so many potentially great employees out there and Radio Shack hires people that would fail working at McDonald’s? I needed a MOSFET Transistor and the employee had never heard of it. Alright, maybe the MOSFET part threw him off. So I also wanted some headers, nope. clueless again. let’s go for try three. a 555 timer, simple request right? Nope. Maybe I should have asked for a cheeseburger. I am sure the employees could have accommodated that request. I called today for details on their 2-Sided Copper-Clad PC Board, after 10 minutes on hold I hung up. I am done making an effort to let this company profit.

Remember when Radioshack was a good place to pick up those odd little parts and pieces you needed at a reasonable price? Yeah so do I, but apparently Radioshack doesn’t. I remember going in to Radioshack as a kid and they had all of those little random parts you needed, and they had them for cheap. But whatever Radioshack has devolved into is a shadow of its former self. The selection isn’t as good as it used to be, and worse yet the prices are way to high. $ 15 dollars for a 6ft 3.5mm to RCA cable? No thanks! Worse yet I remember when people who worked at Radioshack actually knew what they were talking about, if you had a question they could usually answer it sufficiently for you. Now its a miracle if they even know what it is you are looking for, forget about having them show you where it is! Now the problem lies with where else do you go. There are other local places that offer better service with reasonable prices, but they are in inconvinient locations. Do you drive the extra distance for the better price and service, or do you suck it up and try to find what you need at your nearest radio shack?
