If I can give this place 0 stars, I would. I don’t think I have ever worked with an auto store who is as incompetent as this pep boys. I took my car in 2 days ago for an oil change and Juan was the guy who changed the oil for me. After I got my car serviced there, there was a funny smell and smoke coming from my engine. The next morning, I noticed there was oil leaking everywhere on the driveway. I called Pep Boys back and they redirected me to their tow company. The tow company picked up my car and towed it to the wrong location then insisted I pay for the extra tow if I wanted it towed to the Kings Canyon location. I called the Kings Canyon location again and explained what happened. The store manager, who seems like a really nice guy, Cliff, said he’d call the other location to talk to them. I just got my car back this morning and there is still smoke coming from under the hood… Overall, I can’t express how frustrated I am that an easy oil change caused this much problem. If Juan did it right the first time around, all of this could have been avoided.

I went to the pep boys close to my home for a car battery for my wifes car and got helped by a guy in the parts dept by the name of Chris Martinez. This guy not only helped me find my battery but went out his way to check my old battery and told me my old battery was still under warranty and replaced it. He also enrolled me to their customer reward program. Now thats what customer service is all about! I will now do all my automotive shopping at Pep boys!.. Kudos to Chris!

I am a regular customer of Pep Boys on Kings canyon, its in my neighborhood. They have worked on a little clunker I bought. It needed air conditioning, brakes, rack and pinnion repair, aligning, windows would not roll up, and struts and ruters. I did it in increments, as you can imagine the cost of all this. Pep Boys gave me a discount of 15% and I opened an account to help pay for some of the repair. My car is like new! The persons that are in charge of helping you find out what is wrong, the managers and register persons, especially all the guys that work on the car are great! They treated me with the utmost respect and honesty.(see, I checked other repair shops before going to Pep Boys).

I was very impressed with the customer service. Ros did an excellent job of looking at my situation and suggesting various options. He was knowledgeable and thorough. Also Jose Ybarra stayed late to make sure the job was complete. Very impressive. Good store for tires and repairs…

They seem like they know what they’re doing, and their customer service has been good. But I’ve been there twice, and so far they haven’t been able to pin-point what’s wrong with my car. The first time they gave me my money back because the diagnostic was inconclusive; the second time, they replaced some parts that ended up not fixing the problem anyway.
