Mountain Mike’s Pizza

One of our favorite pizza places in town. We really like their Everest on white sauce. Tuesday and Sunday’s are best deals.

The place was empty and we had the place to ourselves. We ended up having 12 in our party after the 2015 CIF Cross Country Championships at Woodward Park. The pizza had flavor but was cold. The establishment was clean and the tables look new. The overall experience was good. We had breadsticks (standard and jalapeño) which were good.

This place has AMAZING PIZZA. Hands down the best pizza in town. I could not give them 5 starts because their devilry service is really slow (we love their pizza so much that we just call ahead and pick it up ourselves). Overall, great staff and food.

Friendly and cheerful staff. The mozzarella cheese sticks were good but the ice cold marinara sauce was a turn off: it would be far better if it were warmed up. Pizza was tasty but the topping (pepperoni) dried out from being over cooked.

We love Mountain Mikes. The toppings are always fresh and the salad bar is always stocked. Every time we have come here the employees are friendly and have our order ready to go.

The pizza is great, but I don’t know who manages this place but the workers are rude. I’ve even had my sons birthday party here; I live near the one on Cedar and Shepherd but it looks like I’ll drive down to the one on Hendron now I’ve been to that one before a lot more friendly and better customer service, it’s seems to me that they like putting the blame on the customer who does that the cedar and shepherd store does.

I love Mountain Mikes! I was glad that I moved into an area that had our go to pizza place. I love their 50% off Tuesday’s! They also have other specials throughout the week that are good too. On my first time ordering from this particular mountain mikes they gave me $ 5 off! I will probably get pizza from here every Tuesday for sure! My only gripe is they need to be better about communicating the timing.

I ordered online at 3:45 a half combo/​half pepperoni at 5:10 the pizza girl arrived and gave me our pizza we checked it (found out they did half cheese instead of pepperoni) then told her that it was not what we ordered; she then proceeded to tell us there was nothing she could do but «call sunny and ask for a discount on our next order» she then went into her car and left, Seriously? I immediately called the manager and he proceeded to tell me because delivery was backed up i couldn’t order another pizza i would have to pick it up (i would have to pay for this pizza btw). I said I couldn’t do that and he said the best they could do was give me 25% off my next order (as if I would ever order with them again). worst customer service from all involved

I reordered last week and I have to say I was really impressed at how the customer service improved since my last few visits!

Went there on March 4^th for their lunch buffet. Was a little hesitant seeing their horrible reviews on here… But I was hungry and willing to give it a chance. It was the best pizza I think I have had since I moved to Fresno! I thought me n eds was as good as it was gonna get! But boy was I wrong, the manager I believe his name was Everett (similar the combo pizza they have «Everest» lol) was very nice, and recommended their garlic sticks. Delicious. Then came a pepperoni. More delicious. I dk how they do it, but the meat is almost spicy, but Devine. I would give this place a solid 5 stars. Awesome service and pizza that speaks for itself.

The pepperonis were awesome. I like the ingredients they used it was really fresh and delicious. I like their pizzas tasted like round table pizza. We went for their buffet lunch. If their crust were different, maybe thinner, New York style crust I would definitely add another star. And if the service was friendlier they would get another one. I have to try their thin crust next time.

We attended a family birthday party on a Sunday. There were half a dozen pizzas ranging from a veggie to a combo. Each pizza was excellent with great crusts, food tasting toppings and sauce. They were cooked perfectly. I only mention the day given the other reviews which they stem from busy times when buying their pizza (could be a capacity a thing). Several others also commented on how good the pizza was. Also, get their coupons or the price may be steep according to the hosts.

The «All-​you-​can-​eat» is a joke!!! Was there with my family and when the pepperoni pizza was finished they refused to serve more because we would not finish a whole pizza and they couldn’t throw it away!!! I was infuriated, both my sons didn’t eat, and when I asked for a refund, the manager SUPPOSEDLY gave me one alleging he had put the money back in my card, and up to this day I haven’t seen a dime. THIEVES…
Avoid this place by all means.

All-​you-​can-​eat-​one-​time-​visit-​only-​salad bar is self explanatory in a contradictory manner. I’m assuming this is a stingy franchise owned policy, because that doesn’t, nor has it ever, made since. So good job on making the pizza to the standards set by the parent company, but sorry, these kinds of standards, (such as bleach powder residue still residing on various restroom fixtures, poor service, etc.) does not earn many stars in my book.
To the First and Herndon location, pizza lovers!

This seems like maybe somebody bought a franchise and has no interest or clue in actually running it. Avoid this place!

Very disappointed in the service at this location. I was told that the pizza would be a 20 minute wait… After 20 minutes I asked how much longer and was told that it wouldn’t be much longer. 53 minutes later someone brings my pizza to the front. I even came back the next day to speak with the manager, he wasn’t in, so I left a message. Never heard back.
Needless to say, I haven’t been back.

I grew up on Mountain Mikes and when they came to Fresno was ecstatic! I tried the one on Herndon and it was pretty good. Then tried the one closer to my home on Cedar and was extremely disappointed. They are known for their amazing crust and yummy toppings. Well worth the $. But this order sucked. The crust was chewy and hard. Nothing like I have ever had at any of the many Mountain Mike’s locations. I was so disappointed. Hoping the staff get some training and willing to give them a second try. Other wise not worth wasting $ 25 bucks just for a less than mediocre pizza. :(((((.

Product is one of the better pizzas in the Central Valley but service is HORROIBLE at this loction. Poor supervision of immature staff is obvious.
Call in order was placed on the evening of 12÷28÷13 and I was given 20 minutes for pick-​up. I showed up almost 30 minutes later and was told it would be 6 more minutes. This was completely understandable. While waiting, I watched as on-​the-​clock waitstaff and two others on break made childish comments about customers who were both dining and coming in for pick up. Waited another 15 minutes to get a partially incorrect order. I would have complained but I witnessed the lack of understanding and compassion of the staff and felt there was no use.

The pizza is fantastic — which is why we went here. We’ve been to Mountain Mike’s at other locations and love the food. The problem at this location is the abominable service. It appears to be run by a group of teenagers, and it’s a small group at that. We entered the restaurant and a few people were there. We noticed a separate, empty room with a «reserved» sign on it, which later was filled with a soccer team. Once we ordered our three small, individual pizzas, we were told it would be 20 minutes. The place soon began to fill up. The two delivery drivers left to deliver, came back, and left again — and still we never received our food. After 30 minutes, I went up to ask the girl where our pizza was and she said she would check. She never did. Finally, after 45 minutes (and the soccer party had received all of their pizzas), my husband went up and demanded our food right then, or our money back. Mysteriously, a girl brought out our pizzas right away. Needless to say, we will never return!
